Hello! On my last response I said I will be going on this cruise which ended today. It so happened I was on same stateroom you were on. I have agreed with everything you said but to add a few things. 1) the musty smell in most areas were unbearable. 2) In my room .. there were water in the outlet and l could not charge my phone also the bathroom drain was clogged and was running over. These were reported and got fixed. 3) Always check your statement at end of the trip.. sometimes there will be discrepancies. 4)To reiterate, the staff was fantastic . 5)The brewery excursion was a good choice and I totally enjoyed it. Generally, the ship needs upgrading, until then I will go again.
I was on the 2nd Cruise my girlfriend and I really enjoyed this ship. We’re making plans to go back to Freeport next spring and yes back on Margaritaville at sea.

Hi! First, thank you so much! 😊 the steakhouse is included if you purchase the license to chill package. I have a video on this package if you’re interested. If you don’t have this package you can dine at the steakhouse for $49 per person based on availability. There are two lounges on board. The Oasis Room and Euphoria. Both have dance floor areas and we saw many people dancing to the live music. 🚢
I'm really really considering going on this ship it just looks like a great time. I just need more information on it.. something that you touched on that I really took note of is the covid test cost the dinner reservations and the safety drill. Thanks so much
Hi! Make your dining reservations in the port before you board. Think about bringing a home Covid test so you don’t get charged. I think they also allow you to bring a negative test given by a lab if you do it 48 hours before the cruise. Call and verify. And consider the license to chill package. I just uploaded that video. Nice balanced review. I filmed the inaugural departure with my drone and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Had a lot of people screaming and waving at my drone, LOL.

Hi. Nice to find your channel. Long time Parrothead, somewhat novice cruiser (5 under my belt so far). I’m guessing most of the hiccups you and others mentioned may be inaugural jitters from staff. Their rhythm hasn’t kicked in yet. I’m sure it will. Strongly considering giving it a try in a few months. Quick and affordable (disappointing only MDR and buffet are included). Little confused about 3 day-2 night. When is port stop and how long is it? Excursions available, or what is there to do? Thanks again for the introduction to this cruising opportunity.
Hi!!! Three days two nights is a bit confusing. We got on the ship Saturday, spent all day Sunday in port and got off Monday morning. So really one full day and two nights. The cruise line does offer a few excursions … swim with pigs, swim with dolphins, go to a resort. We stayed on the ship at port and just relaxed. Hope that helps! 😁🚢
Hi!!! The buffet is included as well as dinner in the main dining room. The pizza restaurant is an add on charge as is the steakhouse. They have food in the 5 o’clock somewhere bar and I’m not sure if they charge for it or not. Alcohol isn’t included but they have a 10 drinks for $99 package. And they also sell bottles of liquor. A big bottle of Bacardi with mixers was about $100. Hope that helps! 😁🚢

I've been on numerous Carnival cruises, but I'm not vaccinated and can't cruise on the regular cruise lines. Are there enough activities for kids? It will be a very expensive trip with airfare for two from NC, but I'm desperate to cruise again.
Hi! They had many family focused events on board. Family game shows, parties etc. they have kids clubs on board but I didn’t see them. You’re on the ship only a day and a half really with the two night sailing so I don’t think your son will be bored at all. Especially if he likes to swim. The kids on our sailing seemed to be having a great time. Hope that helps! 😁🚢
Hi! Daytime is very casual. Shorts and tanks or t shirts are fine. Most women dressed up a bit for dinner. A sundress or a more party dress if they were planning on going to the lounges after. But there is no dress code. I saw people in shorts and t shirts in the main dining room. So be comfortable and wear what you like. The ship has a very chill vibe as you would expect. Anything goes really. You will see people dressed up and ready to party and others in very casual relaxed outfits. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching!
Sounds like the cruise ship was operational but not ready for Prime Time yet. Glad you had a good time but it sounds like things are just getting started on the ship. In a few months they will work out all the kinks.
You must have bought the upgraded "Sail Away Package". We sailed too, there was no shampoo or conditioner and we had to purchase in the ship store ($5 for about 3 ounces), your video pans past wine and fresh fruit in your room, we had none but that's OK since we didn't upgrade. Also, the emails prior to the cruise spelled out that you need to have a covid test 2 days prior to boarding, we did a drive thru at CVS and were able to show our test results at the check in. Overall you were very nice about the ship, which will never be in the class of a modern ship since its 30 years old, but it was not upgraded to the standards of other Jimmy Buffet resorts and destinations - not even by a longshot. We were SERIOUSLY underwhelmed by the ship. The Staff and Crew were great, the best thing was the Ship Show "Tales from Margaritaville" Which we absolutely loved. Another thing that can't be ignored is that it goes to Freeport, which is a dumpy destination, for similar money you can go on a 3 day Carnival cruise and have a MUCH better experience. Sorry Jimmy, we love your other concepts and your brand but this is a huge swing and a miss.
We enjoyed our time on the ship. As I mentioned the ship still has two more phases of refurbishment. For the right price, I think it’s worth it. But I understand why you were underwhelmed. We never got any emails from the cruise line regarding Covid tests but I’m glad they were communicating to some guests. Thanks for watching!

There cruises are too short to justify traveling to Florida for us, but possibly could fit before or after a 7 day on another line.
You can also do a land and sea package and stay on Grand Bahama for a few days. That’s an option. Thank you so much for watching!! 😁🚢
