My dog Nathan turns four years old today. We got him in August ‘15, he was riddled with fleas and dirty. After getting the little guy cleaned up and flea free, we still had no name for him. While holding him to me I noticed he smelled like Nathan’s hotdogs (that’s all we ate). That’s how he earned his name, if you meet him, two minutes in you’ll say “he’s totally a Nathan “. He is my best friend. He’s a long hair chihuahua/ jack russell mix. We got him from a friend of a friend that was going to drop him at the shelter because he’s the one no one wanted. All of our dogs have been “saves prior to shelters”. All great dogs but Nathan is my man. He’s so loving and more protective than his 12 lb frame really allows. His two sisters are 85 & 96 lbs so he has no idea he’s so small. Doesn’t care that his head fits in their mouthes. He can juke em & our run them outside six fold.
Good documentary. Nathan’s dogs are the only brand that I buy and eat at home. Which I am glad is the way we do things. Unfortunately, some of the other home brand of Hot Dogs just don’t sell as high quality of a Hot Dog for home consumption. (:
Nathans' hotdogs are similar to Shopsy's & Soloway's hot dogs at the street stands here in Toronto. Very similar taste, but here they serve them with a yellow cornbread hotdog bun... could eat 3-4 of them after a night of drinking lol

i might eat hot dogs again if they were plant based and sodium was replaced entirely with only a small amount of potassium, like take 100% of daily recommended potassium, divide by the record number of hot dogs eaten in a day (74) and that's how much potassium should be in a hot dog. no sodium!
