This song gave me goosebumps, stopped me in my tracks and I repeated it 3 times before I could go on I’d say this is their best song since the Black album. Dethroning All Nightmare Ling and Now That We’re Dead! That harmony was totally sick! I can’t wait to hear a live version. Just think if this song is played either right before or after And Justice for All. That would melt my brain!
Room of mirrors is fucking awesome. The best song on the album, and i'm gonna go as far as saying that's the best song of the year so far. It had thrash. It had harmonies, it had double bass. It had great vocals. Everything you want in a Metallica song is what you got, and this song can honestly be put up there with one of the 4 great albums. In the earlier days.
This song is killer. Best on the album. The pre-chorus is amazing and the melodies after the solo absolutely sick Then they bring it back at the end in a different key. This, this is Metallica for me. This is outstanding.
The back half of this song is frickin amazing. As far as where it would fit in the catalog, I find that the great equalizer for that is hearing new songs live. With the studio production stripped away you can truly hear how it stands next to the old stuff. You guys mentioned Atlas Rise earlier - that’s one that truly came into its own for me hearing it in person.
