Love watching you go around the old buildings and seeing some history. The fish you and Sharon had looked nice. How well behaved little Frank was walking about with you all.😊
Aw loved seeing baby frank running about enjoying his day out hes so cute ..the stump is an amazing building lots to see ...thx sharon and martin for another lovely day out ❤
They named Boston in USA after Boston UK. All relates to the Pilgrim Fathers who sailed there in the 1630s. I've been watching lots of interesting telly since being stuck indoors in the cold! (Wish they'd have had decent programmes like these on the telly in the early 70s when I was studying GCSE History lol!!). Apparently that's why Boston and Plymouth football clubs call themselves 'The Pilgrims', referencing those Pillgrims who came from Boston and sailed out of Plymouth on the Mayflower. Lincoln, Boston....have loads of history. Lincoln's worth a visit.
I did enjoy the trip to Boston.,thankyou so much. My parents retired to Woodhall Spa, I used to visit with my children, occasionally my dad would take us to the market at Boston .We didnt manage to go much further than the market unfortunately ,your video brings very happy memories mixed with a few sad . Precious Times goes by so quickly .
Morning guys. Very very interesting. I love these old places. Gives a small insight into other lives. The stained glass windows of the church were gorgeous. I am not mobile which is why I love these 'out and about' vids. I get cold quickly too, so I am happily touring with you guys while in the warm. lol Grats on your prostate and infection results. You are obviously doing what works for you. See you on your next vid.
i know this isn't about the Corsori all in one pressure cooker. But watching your vid's encouraged me to get one. Only done a chicken stew, but it was spot on. Even my 8 year old loved it and she's a fussy eater, so well pleased, thanks guys for putting us on the right tracks to get one. TOP JOB
Great news re psa result , that’s one worry out the way, the good food has really helped. So worth your hard work. I didn’t go up myself, but my hubby and granddaughter walked up the stump, they said it was good , but the stairs were a bit narrow for me. We had a nice coffee in there as well. I don’t think you can go right to the top, but a good way up. I do believe they had to pay at the time. Thank you for sharing.
another really interesting and informative video, thanks both. Boston looks so nice, loved walking around with you well done martin on your hospital results and for all the nutrition info which I find very useful Oh and John Foxe was an English Puritan preacher. Martyrology is history that deals with the lives of martyrs. Must have been very dull being a martyr!
I can remember going to Tates when I was a wee lad for chips on a Saturday while shopping with my parents every week brought back some great memories looks just the same, the market was massive. The stump is an incredible beautiful structure. Lots of beautiful old buildings in Boston but you need to search for them. Funny how the pilgrim fathers left Boston many years ago now it’s very multi cultural people coming to Boston to live. Frank looked like he enjoyed the day out 👍great update as always 👍👍
Hi martin and sharon thank-you for showing us round Boston I be the place is steeped in history I loved the stump it makes me wonder how they got the sandstone bricks so high up the bricks are really thick ones and the celling in the top is do lovely how did they get thatso tall love fran xxxx
Most New England towns are named either after places in the UK,or are Native American names, after all the first Europeans to settle in the Northeast came from Britain.
Hi Sharon Hi Martin.i never knew there was a Boston In England UK i always thought Boston was in America..goes to show i payed NO attention un history and Geography lessons at school..A Beautiful place i thanl you both very much indeed for showing me around Boston..❤
Enjoyed the vlog immensely Folks thank you again. I hope you're really enjoying the RAT PACK CONCERT 🙏. I sincerely hope you're planning to tell us all about it!!!!! PLEASEEEEE🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Love, hugs and kisses to you all 😘 😘😘😘🤗🤗🤗🤗. Till next time🎉
Hi Martin and Sharon, another lovely video, it's nice to have a look round with you. Pleased you're getting better. The fish looked lovely and the batter was spot on. I once bought some gluten free fish cakes by mistake from M&S, you couldn't tell the difference. Poor Merlin thought he was getting a treat
A martyrology is a catalogue or list of martyrs and other saints and beati arranged in the calendar order of their anniversaries or feasts. Local martyrologies record exclusively the custom of a particular Church.
What a lovely day out, Boston is a beautiful place, must visit one day, we used to drive through Boston on the way to skeggness and always captivated by the huge church tower, thanks guys that was a great video,👍🏻❤
Hi Martin - loving the channel. I rarely comment on TH-cam but thought I'd send you a snippet from a vocabulary website as follows: "Prostate is a gland found in male mammals, but prostrate, with an r, means to lie face down." All The Best.
Hi ALL, IS there a sausage call the Boston ? MY mum and some friends went to Boston some time a go .And got some Boston sausage for breakfast the next day .THANK YOU all, for taking us on a trip of Boston .😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
I was born in the old General Hospital near the docks in Boston (no longer there). Botolph's church was replaced by a Norman church in stone, and this, in turn, was replaced by the current church building around the year 1309. The main body of the church was complete by 1390, but at that time the church had no tower. Tates fish shop is not as nice as it was back in the 60's. Boston has lost many shops over the years. Woolworths and Oldrids. Thanks for the tour. Baby Frank is managing the stairs well.
Hi Martin and Sharon,👍 Boston the Stump, a beautiful building I find the craftsmanship awe-inspiring without the use of technology or p,ant machinery to construct such beautiful buildings. Great tour around Boston very informative 👌 Having a family day out with baby Frank and Charlott🤝 also congratulations to Jimmy and Charlotte on their upcoming wedding 👍
You were right about the narrow staircase in the guild hall Martin. That was a court room and they used to send them down. In the stump the little door to your left as you go in is where you can climb. I was christened in there many moons ago. Was a beautiful market town back in the day but ruined now.
Great video nice to see you out and about. Baby Frank is so good when he’s out bless him. I think I’ll try the gluten free batter cause sometimes the batter is terrible here in Australia. I like crispy batter. Thanks as always take care
The houses are Tudor Martin from the 16th century the stump build was started in 1425 and completed in 1510 xx John Foxe published a book on Martyrs ie martyrology but it looks like he was challenged as to whether it contained true facts xx
I was so confused! I thought you were in Boston, MASSACHUSETTS here in the US (practically my backyard)! Especially when other commenters mentioned other towns and cities here in my area. 🤣🤣🤣 Just discovered your delightful videos. Blessings for you, especially for your health. 💗🙏💗
First thing l thought of when you mentioned the open fireplace/spits....was the poor kids whose job it was to stand there all day, turning the meat on it. Watched a history programme that showed one (maybe Tudor era?). Presenter explained that the heat was so fierce at times that the kids would faint and fall forward into the fire!! And we thought it was awful sending them up a chimney!!😢😢
When I was working I went to Boston a few times but not much time to see the sites. You seemed to like the food, take care of your health Martin, Sharon, keep him in check
When I think of Boston MA I generally think of The Pilgrim Fathers, the Boston Tea Party....and 'Ray Donovan'!! I actually think of Ray Donovan a bit more than l should these days ....cor!!!😋😂😂 Love the accent too.
Gluten means they don't use wheat flour, but depends what other flour they use, its not too many cards as its only a thin covering so now and again, I'm happy with.
Love watching you go around the old buildings and seeing some history. The fish you and Sharon had looked nice. How well behaved little Frank was walking about with you all.😊
Aw loved seeing baby frank running about enjoying his day out hes so cute ..the stump is an amazing building lots to see ...thx sharon and martin for another lovely day out ❤
What a nice historical place. My late uncle John was born in Boston.Great to see baby Frank and Charlote with you.

Frank is definitely the star of the video. Xxx
I love battered halloumi but I'd want a slice of lemon, mushy peas and tartar sauce to go with it.

Fydell House was built in Queen Anne's reign from 1702 to 1714 so the beautiful gardens are from that era xx
Love to see baby Frank he is adorable, and such a good boy 👍
Such a beautiful boy baby Frank is. ❤😊 Another great vlog.

Grew up in the burbs just outside of Boston, MA in the States. Being from New England, it's easy to get confused. 😂
When I think of Boston MA I generally think of The Pilgrim Fathers, the Boston Tea Party....and 'Ray Donovan'!!
I actually think of Ray Donovan a bit more than l should these days ....cor!!!😋😂😂
