- F.A.C.T 1 - Mix - Cygnus X - The Orange Theme TO Drax LTD - Amphetamine
On F.A.C.T both Tracks got the perfect Speed and Tone.
Some Amphetamine Versions got to many High Sound, and no good Middle Tones.
The Other got to many Middle but no high.
So the Versions on FACT got everything. A good Balance. Bud i dont know
if this later the Same, when youtube put it on 64kbiots aac mono crap .

I'd go one further, Nicholas, I believe it's the greatest transition in history, and the ballsiest choice of opening two tracks to a mix in history as well. I've felt that way for 22yrs and I've not heard anything to change my mind since.

Actually listening back it's pretty bad. Wrong keys, and the bass drops out a bit... Loved it at the time though. That said - Two great tracks and playing Heckman as your second track is going for it!

I met Carl Cox reguarly up at the Club UK rooms in Wandsworth when he was banging these tunes out and he always had time to stop, and chat and had the biggest smile in the world. Wot a legend - this CD is still in my favourites box!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the comment on this amazing mix of two tracks i love since my teens and still mix together today at times...but it seems like it's been made with two Drax ltd amphetamines and one Orange theme vinyl because you can hear the very beginning of amphetamines coming in and around the same time it plays simultaneously at a further time on the track...so well done, even excellently executed but with one of the masters tricks up his sleeve...Don't forget that every deejay has a bunch of them tricks to exeed at the highest level of their ability and me myself also a DiscJockey do nothing different

Now Switch to 360P. Holy Fuck, they Added a Pseudo Stereo (the Most Sounds come from right) and damn Hall Effect. And the High Tones are a fucked up, and the Mid Tones too. SORRY FOLKS. The Real MP3 Version that i got, got a excellent Sound Quality, dont compare it to this TH-cam Mess.

I first heard this CD in 1996 during the first week of my first job at a very future-forward, fledgling “multimedia” company set up in a back room at Apple - classic nineties rave music
Then I realized it was a cover of Wendy Carlos’ chilling opening music for Stanley Kubrick’s 1971 Clockwork Orange when I rented the DVD - classic pioneering synth music.

Later again, I stumbled on the original on TH-cam - Henri Purcell’s funeral march for Queen Mary, 1695 - Classical.

Something about this chord progression, resonating over and over, stretching back over 300 years - you can feel history sweeping past, giving generations goosebumps.
This was my first exposure to trance in 1994. Luckily I saw Carl at Reading University union in 1996. Good times.
