Very very good test of this videos, fantastic techiques of aikido man and in special the aikido woman her actitude, determination and the speed movements is incredible...amazing the aikido woman..i am a spanish judoka and aikidoka.
Amazing work guys, great testing, an excellent display of aikido, I notice that everyone is wearing the hakama, im assuming that these are practitioners of aikikai as opposed to yoshinkan. Wish you both nothing but the best
This is some good stuff I love it...one thing I wanna see more though is more proficient attackers. The knife attacks shouldn't be so telegraphed...they should be focused, aggressive, and unpredictable...like a real attacker.
Congratulations on achieving your grades. A very good, clear and concise performance from both of you, you should be proud ! David O'Brien Takama Hara Aikido Barrow in Furness Cumbria England P. S. Your Sensei should be proud of you both also and I'm sure he will be judging by the way he applauded you both at the end.
Will they look back at this effort in a few years and wonder where their Aiki was , instead of just techniques of Aikido as they are doing now. Please Aikidoka raise the standard and make the term Sensei and Shihan mean something again in the Aikido world.
I agree you train or teach say Shotokan Karate it should be based on real life situations I teach Shotokan Karate and Japanese Jujutsu that the samurai used i'm learning Aikido
Le passage de grade est un moment stressant, mais j'estime que l'on doit toujours prendre en considération la force physique de UKE. Ici, il est un brin brutal. Ceci dit, il a l'air d'être assez bon techniquement.
I want to see test with fake knives real attacks I think aikido can work well in real life it may be a peaceful art but it is absolutely lethal and effective at its roots. I just think more real life based training would benefit the art immensely.
Jack Jung The thing with aikido is that yes, a lot of moves start from a wrist grab or a fairly straight line punch etc, but all the movements are the same and can be applied to different attacks. In training every few weeks we go through some of the real life attacks so speak, and quote aggressively, and you'd be surprised how easily applied all the movements are. And also because it's very aggressive and fast, the throws actually became easier as more momentum is involved
If you know Aikido, you can defend from anything that's not a gun I think. Aikido is lethal and you can break limbs, but it would be kinda... unefficient if everyone did this at exams..
There is no problem. If you are high rank aikido (5+ years experience) you learn how to defend to punches. The problem is that you doesnt see that a lot in videos but in real life you learn it at your aikido dojo.
The multiple attacks thing at the end is one of the most ridiculous things in the popular martial arts world. Does anyone in his right mind even remotely think that this shit is of any use whatsoever in the real world? Yeah, I will impose my will to the attackers so that they barrel roll by themselves with a light tap on the shoulder.
hubertgreen First of all, *believe. And second, if seeing the light is becoming retarded, is really not my cup of tea. Try tapping someone who wants to break your face on the shoulder like in the video. You will be astonished with the results (and the healthcare bill).
Very nice performance of both of them, but I think that this is Aikikai aikido, which compared with Iwama ryu aikido and Yoshinkan aikido is perhaps not so powerful and effective in the real world. But good luck with your examination anyway!
@@danielless2977Well, train in our dojo first. After that, you can talk like this. That you talk about Aikikai like a style tells me that you have no idea how many different styles you find within. In our dojo, a high level and very good and strong guy from Iwama Style has been training for many years. We work together perfectly. He is no more and no less a magician like us. We have judoka, karateka, students of BJJ and classical jujutsu, taiboxers and boxers etc. on the mat. All people with martial arts experience who also feel at home with us. You are very welcome to try out our Aikido, which, apart from the training method, hardly differs from Iwama. Saito was an excellent aikidoka, just like Shioda, and both were specialists in their own right. Aikikai unites countless styles, some of which differ considerably. Greetings from the coast
With 53 y.o Im just an Aikidoka beginer and I love what I have watched in this video.

Very nice exam, congratulations!
Very nice and inspiring. Thanks you for sharing.
I was surprised that there was only one uke for most of the test, and then they switched places for the second test! Nice endurance!

nice finish for the randori in 22:45 !!!!

Are those Aikido techniques poster in the background?
Smooth as silk
Well done.
amazing!!!
The guys being taken down in the multiple attacks, they are the ones who deserve a dan. I guess they already have it.
Wow so beautiful
excelente

but probably not for shodan though.. shodan is the starting line. maybe for 3rd or 4th dan

No, those are Judo Techniques, since this is originally a Judo Dojo.
very nice
1 if it is a shodan examination why is she wearing a black hakama? 2 the guy has no flow in his tehnique, he is like robocop
Some Aikido Associations do allow to wear a Hakama after graduation to 2nd Kyu.
The kokyunage at 14:22
As someone who practiced Aikido for over 7 years, these people are showing great art, unfortunately their art has Very little to do with being martial
the problem,,,,,what happens when the attacker simple punches ,,,think some get knocked out,,,,,,,,

Salut Anna tu es magnifique et très belle avec la tenue d aïkido Es ce que tu sens mauvais des pieds sur le tatami

Red flooring, so hurts my eyes @_@
The girl blocks each attack... there is not fluidity... it's a really bad mistake for a nidan
why is she pushing and colliding this is not real aikido follow nishio he was the man

LisztianGR 4 vs 1 and aikido wins!!!!
hubertgreen What are you, 12?
LisztianGR why? Are you a priest?
LisztianGR you dont belivie in aikdo? Are you a non-beliver? yoi will soon see the light my friend.

what a joke...
Я не понял, кто из них на какой дан сдает?
It is written above: "Anna CONGARD (Shodan) from Schwerin Aikido School and Jan SCHLEGEL (Nidan)"
Very nice performance of both of them, but I think that this is Aikikai aikido, which compared with Iwama ryu aikido and Yoshinkan aikido is perhaps not so powerful and effective in the real world. But good luck with your examination anyway!
