awesome railway journey im loving Penkridge viaduct Wolverhampton Low Level & im loving the view of Tame Bridge Parkway from the aquaduct brilliant vlog
It was defiantly stunning when I saw it. People have been asking me if I seen it but I don't normally go to see things when at Railway Stations as I there for a hour just filming the trains. Happy that I got to see Penkridge Viaduct. :D
Yet another fantastic Simontrains Railway Journey and some fantastic scenery along this particular route Wolverhampton Low Level Station Building does look very quaint indeed and it’s nice to see the platform still remains there as well as the footbridge it definitely looks like a place I would definitely visit also some fantastic views from the Aquaduct at Tame Bridge Parkway looks like a lovely canal to walk along something I do like doing until your next Simontrains Railway Journey keep up the good work my friend take care and stay safe
Was thinking of the aqueduct at Tame Bridge Parkway. Not got off there yet. Have photographed Wolverhampton Low Level in the past. Glad you also saw the Galton Bridge. And yes I once photographed Smethwick West, over a decade ago.
Excellent video, Cyber! Wolverhampton Low Level and Penkridge Viaduct looked fantastic and were well worth the journey to see. Nice to see the Varamis Rail 321 too!
Thanks Ian. This style of filming was more relaxing than standing at the end of the platform waiting for trains to pass and trying to do piece to camera between times. Did also really enjoy the trip as well.
That is one thing that I will say is beautiful, that viaduct, you never notice it until you stand next to it but my god, you could get a charter there if you were lucky
I did a similar circular journey to Rugeley Town from Coleshill Parkway via Nuneaton and Rugeley Trent Valley outbound and back via Walsall and Birmingham New St. I did ask in the woman in the booking kiosk if it was permitted before leaving. I had family in Rugeley at the time so the journey did have a purpose!
An awesome and Unique video Cyber! It's goose to get inspired by people and then do your own version of it and it's not disappointing at all! Penkridge Viaduct is awesome! Wolverhampton Low Level has also been an interest to me, Smethwick West.. meh, The view from the Aquaduct is goose aswell! Great video Simon, the low level station is great to explore around. I am hoping one day they are going to reopen the Victorian passage between the high station and low level as its was closed during the rebuild of Wolverhampton. I would recommend visiting the Great Western pub close by as it has lots of railway memorabilia similar to the pub at Codsall station.
I did see the passage from the low level station (Didn't go in), would be a great passage to get to the Premier Inn. Did notice the pub but didn't had time. Thanks Street Rambler
Brilliant video Cyber, Wolverhampton low level station looks quite good and the view from on top of the Grand Junction aquaduct at Tame Bridge Parkway looks quite good. :)
As London Northwestern Railway are replacing the Class 350/2 and Class 319 once the Class 730s have entered service. Maybe some of the Class 350/2s could be kept for the Chase Line.
Pity you did not call in the Great Western pub while you were at Wolverhampton LL I think you could have done more about the two canals at Galton Bridge.
I have notice the Canals around the area and the suggestion will be taken onboard as there a plan that I'm thinking of doing involving Smethwick Galton Bridge
Great circular Journey Simon. I’ve never been to Wolverhampton low level of Penkridge viaduct they both look epic. Great footage, just out of curiosity what ticket did you use for this journey? I enjoyed watching as always.
The one thing that I didn't mentioned. Rugeley Town to Penkridge off peak day return, costs £5.90 with a Railcard route is any permitted and always travel between Rugeley Town via Stafford and Rugeley Town via Birmingham. (It also goes through the barriers at Wolverhampton and Birmingham okay without any trouble) Thanks Sam.
Hey Simon, Great video! So interesting, and I'm not even from the West Midlands. I am fascinated by accents though. Is yours a typical Rugeley accent? I ask because it sounds more like a Cheshire or Stoke accent (slight Scouse tones!), rather than a West Midlands, classic Birmingham accent.
Thanks Arthur, It's a excellent question about my accent. Honestly I don't know as my dad is from Cannock and my mother is from Cumbria and also have a bit of Irish/French Heritage as well.
Sometimes I do take the bus but half the time your stuck in traffic jams, especially when going down Radford Bank and the Lichfield Road in Stafford. Train costs more but quicker
I love dusty bins there so nice
The pure joy Simon shows when he visits Wolverhampton Low Level ^^
Thank you, it been a location that I wanted to visit for a very long time. Happy to share the experience with you and everyone :D
Great video Sherlock. I do like the Penkridge viaduct it looks gorgeous 👍
Thanks Arnold
Prenkridge viaduct looks stunning and so did Wolverhampton low level. Another great video Simon and was good to see a classic dusty bin
Thanks Jack
Epic! Wolverhampton low level station was stunning. Love how many different features you included. Thanks
Thanks Rachel
Loved this :) you found something in Wolverhampton worth visiting too 😜 they did a fine job of restoring the low level station
Think it was the 2010s when they restored it but some of it has been knocked down, Thanks MrGreatplum
Fantastic so much history
Thank you. Honestly the Railways as a whole. There tons of history

Really enjoyable video Simon!
Great variety of interesting things to see.
Think this format works well and I hope to see more. 👏🙂

I've no real interest in trains but your videos are very interesting. Your enthusiasm for the subject is very engaging.
Thank you. I honestly really appreciate the comment :D

@@Sim0nTrains that’s a great price considering the usage you got out it breaking your journey at the different locations on route.
