wife got the chefman during prime day for like $25, for 1-2 people its adequate, we weren't really looking for one but decided to try it out, its not bad , seems to work ok...the little grate is constantly falling out of ours
Hi Lexi, Thanks for a fun and informative video. I finally bought an airfryer after resisting for years (I'm not a gadgety person.) The Cuisinart was on sale, so I bought it. It is a lot like the Phillips but has a viewing window. I absolutely LOVE it! I think that it was worth the extra dough to get a model that had a window and great reviews from other owners. It also has a nice big basket. Makes excellent fries, wings and reheats pizza perfectly!
Yes, but the smaller space in the air fryer and the fan in the lid being the same size or larger than a standard convection oven fan yields crispier results
I was skeptical too, but the air fryers are super handy, convenient, and best of all, less messy. It's not the same as actual frying, but it's pretty damn close. I love frying food but I hate cleaning my stovetop afterwards
GREAT presenter! Lexi, keep going! So good to see oz/nz that can present and speak well without the drawl. Love your boppy humor and, of course, the content!
My parents have a cheap airfryer from Inventum, it takes ages to warm up, fries if after 10 minuts still not done. While my girfriend has a Philips and that one it very fast. No need to pre-heat it. And if you do it takes minuts. Just pay more and get a Philips i'm so tired of people saving on a Airfryer "you want some snacks" they will be done in 40 minuts... WHAT? How about 10...
@@noahgodlike7236thats what both an air fryer and a convection oven do. An air fryer is a countertop convection oven with a higher amount of airflow because of the smaller volume. But it's mostly just the same as a mini convection oven.
I have my new Instant Vortex Plus 6 in 1, 6 quart Air Fryer coming today (Sunday) It has really good reviews. It has a clear glass window to see what is inside ! I am excited !!!!!! Please review !
I have just got the instant vortex plus 6. Used it once, but I am trying to find out if it has teflon coating. Not sure how to find that. Do you know. Thank you.
Down under, we get the philips with a much easier dial and button menu that the American release. The smaller of the philips (not XXL) is my go to, the flat top is handy to store other things when not in use. Just remember to clean these regularly as the bottoms can get pretty mucked up over time.
@@pharaohsmagician8329 For sure soak the baskets in warm water with dish soap for at least a couple hours. Then scrub with a nylon brush as sponges get dirty pretty fast with the grease. But my go-to is to line the outer basket with thin aluminum foul, making sure to not block the air flow. Helps a lot with cleaning.
Love the review. I find the current selection of air fryers lacking the ability to see what is happening within having to open in. Have a look at a De'Longhi MultiFry FH1394/2 Cooker - Silver. Just bought a second one as the 1st one has had none stop use over the last 5+ years and had been an amazing addition to the kitchen family.
Just got an air fryer different brand but an air fryer looking forward to new phase of cooking, thank you for your video, it was well done and very informative
You need to do the air fryer is that open from the front and have a rack on it and can you do a chicken rotisserie rotisserie on it? That doesn’t touch the bottom of the thing
I think I will be getting a Phillips in the near future. Can you do a slow cooker video? I know my mom has been wanting one but we haven't been sure which is good.
I don't think you need to think too hard or compare slow cookers, they all function the same. Nothing is as good as a used Crock pot from the thrift store imo, I had a Ninja combo air fryer with pressure cooker and slow cooker, the slow cooker worked just fine, used it all the time to make soups and stews and chili
I do miss more traditional style presentations when it comes to reviews. Maybe I'm the only one. Just feels more like an entertainment video than a product review. Not what I was expecting
Eh I’m going with the ninja if it’s on sale I love my food little on the crispier side and I lather all my foods with extra oils and rubs I’d just watch my food take it out a bit earlier if I know it’s done
Lexi, I'm Canadian. I grew up adding pubs style vinegar on my Fish & Chips, wrapped in news paper (back in the year dark, eh?) How does the "down under" Lady Lexi do to her fries in 2021?
The myth of Teflon being bad for you is based on an inconclusive study. You're looking at 800° farenheit before it's compromised too, way higher than your kitchen oven will go. Also it need to be manipulated or scratched to rupture and release the Teflon, and these air fryer a are pretty hands off
The real comparison is between an air fryer, and oil frying. It's clearly not as good and a waste of electricity, not to mention the price, bulk and ewaste polution of the device itself.
Bought a Philips Airfryer in 2014 for £90, still going strong 8 years later, would definitely buy Philips again.
Wow that's amazing
@@angelbasham6631 Given the lifespan of a lot of kitchen electrics nowadays were impressed by this one 🙂
@@Torkijo absolutely
I bought mine 12 years ago. Gave it to my mum and she absolutely loves the simplicity and reliability
We have the Ninja and it's impressively packed with features. I highly recommend it!
Ninja foodi pressure cooker air fryer cooker is what I have and it is amazing.
How well does the dehydration function work?
@@brianjones8673 It works just as described and thankfully, it doesn't take too long. But that also depends on the type of food you need to dehydrate.

I think I'm going to get the ninja af400, every review I've watched they say it's amazing.

people before buying an Air fryer look in your ovens if it has a fan thats a convection oven thats an air fryer
Yes, but the smaller space in the air fryer and the fan in the lid being the same size or larger than a standard convection oven fan yields crispier results
honestly Ninja makes some good stuff and it's reasonably priced even if you compare their blender to a Vitamix
Me Past 10 years: “I don’t need an air fryer”
Me after hearing Lexi make that 1st crunch: “Man I need an air fryer”
I was skeptical too, but the air fryers are super handy, convenient, and best of all, less messy. It's not the same as actual frying, but it's pretty damn close. I love frying food but I hate cleaning my stovetop afterwards
I have that exact Ninja Air Fryer and I love it!!!
Hey Lexi - great to see an Aussie on CNET - love your reviews 🇦🇺. Would love to see a review on the Tefal Easy fry grill and steam XXL
Considering the quality and affordability of Air Fryer is a must. Of course, if we want something, we want nothing but the best!
Just saw your video, I think I'm going to look into the ChefMan. For the price, space is tight and its just me I think it will work, thank you!

This vid deserves a million everything
Coffee cakes are my favorate when it comes to cakes.. but if i like a fruity vanilla a pineaple upside down is a winner.😊
Can you compare pressure cookers?
I would just get the Phillips, they seemed to have mastered the Air Fryer game
Your presentation style is so fabulous and elegant 🎉❤. Thank you
A question: what’s the difference between an air fryer and a convection oven? Just size, or is there something I’m missing?
It uses air circulation

How do you compare the frying sound on the Ninja compared to the Phillips one?
She's advertising the Phillips guys
Have you ever tried the instapot air fryer?

Since I am only one person, I will try the CHEFMAN. The price for one person is also good.

Mine is the cosori
I'm going lowest here. my bet is that the law of diminishing returns will make the higher models better, but not worth the money.

VERY smart. 😑

I thank she works for Phillips

Can you guys comaparethe new xiaomi airfryer and the philips airfryer?

The chefman went limp and lady Chatterley cackled
Should also have had the oven door style ones like the Insignia from Best Buy, I love mine.
No June oven?
Just buy the Ninja brand every time. The others are garbage. My ninja is still going strong after a couple years.
If you only have experience with the ninja, how could you make the claim the others are garbage?
I would have to say the Ninja but I guess we’ll see.
Philips Air Fryer of course by far
Toss your fries with oil and seasonings before airfrying
I've been using that hack for months now
If only the Philips came in a stainless steel colorway.

Chicken tenders would be nice
I have Breville The Smart Oven Pro Counter top Oven.
I noticed you didn't toss the dried in a little bit if oil. That's 100% necessary for a fair and good result.
Okay ❤️
Kinda looks like she should be related to Marion Grasby of "Marion's Kitchen" 🤔
Ninja for me.
So the best airfryer is ????
Fahrenheit? Really?
Ni idea why this company abandon the podcast and the TH-cam channel and the CNT application sucks
I would say Philips could be the winner.
Now it's hard to choose between the Ninja and the Philips air fryer.
Nice Lexy
Phillips
i don't eat the foods that she made and that's the reason i do not want the tempation and do not have an air fryer.
