I think their songs are complimentary, but I don’t think they’re about being closeted or management. I think the songs about them struggling to keep their relationship together. There were real issues that they couldn’t work out. Comfortable silence isn’t a solution because nothing gets resolved void of communication. I think Harry’s album is clearly about a break up. Louis’ songs are a bit more optimistic. “I keep coming back to you” and “asking myself if it’s over” seem like he’s not giving up. Hopefully HS2 will be about the reconciliation.
