Thanks Nick! My wife and I write or vision goals for the year every January. Will definitely be adding this to our vision list. We just started YNAB this month too. So far loving it.

I like the tip about using views for the vision focus for the quarter, thanks!

I’m a new subscriber. Downloaded this as I love the process of planning but always struggle to put all my disparate interests and goals into any meaningful intentional plan so thank you for creating it and explaining so comprehensively how to put it into practice in the context of budgeting in this video. Will recommend to friends 😊

Great stuff! My Nephew in CA sent this to me. I am local & retired early last year by following these type principles I learned from Dave Ramsey. Became debt free and live off dividends. Would be willing to share that experience if interested. Keep up the great work! I just subscribed. God Bless!

Hi Nick, I see the "Underfunded" number under the Auto-Assign for the month( say Oct).. Should that number match the Total income for the month under the Income vs Expense report on Reflect?.. or close.. I hope that makes sense?

I get the title is "3 SIMPLE steps" but dang. It's like saying there are 3 simple steps to living like a king...
    - Eat
    - Drink
    - Sleep

I watch your videos off and on because the titles are interesting but you're obviously focused on people who have a lot of money to work with. I personally would not go through an entire list of things I want to do like travel and money for working out and then finding out that I don't even have enough money to buy groceries. That would be a total waste of time and energy.. a lot of people wanting to do a budget are struggling to get through a week or a month.

@@Savannah-ed4rv sorry this content may not be for you! Feel free to not watch. However I will respectfully disagree.
I have worked with people who make $2,000 /month and people who make $50k/month and we use this process for both and it works incredibly well. Yes the vision documents look different. But the visioning process is critical for both groups.
It doesn’t matter how much you make if you aren’t clear on your vision and why you want to budget, you won’t stick with it. I’ve yet to meet a single person (even people making under the poverty line) who don’t have any waste in their budget. Everyone has an opportunity to better align their money with their vision, the key is though, they must know their vision.
It’s okay though if you disagree. Everyone has a right to their perspective and I wish you well!

    Thanks for your new video!
My God thinks human plans are laughable, and so do I. When God tells me to do something, I will do my best, and I will not let visions or plans get in the way.
My financial health is about refusing ungodly things. I track all my spending, note things that are ungodly, and strive to eliminate them. It's hard.
Losing weight is about giving my body the time to separate the food I need from the food I don't. My body does so during 16 hour periods when there is no new food coming in.

Yeah that process looks like it really sucks to me. Write down a bunch of stuff I probably won't be able to afford no matter how hard I work lol.

My thoughts exactly. This channel is for people who make 9 or 10,000 a month.

@@Savannah-ed4rvworks for us and we don’t make 9-10k a month. ☺️ and we live in CA where everything is overpriced. Able to budget our needed expenses and wanted expenses. Just takes hard work with discipline. Oh yeah we have 2 kids and 4 pets too. It’s very doable.
