​@@zsuzsamoldIt also felt even less funny when Abi left. She and Nick were just both so funny! Nick's friend Alfie made it funny as well. With just Ben, Susan, Janey, Michael, Kenzo and Roger towards the end of the show's run it felt like something was missing without Nick, Alfie and Abi.

I loved all these characters, but Nick leaving was a pity for My Family fans. The to and fro between Nick and Dad was brilliant. I loved the Alfie character as well, he could be dopey, but he could also be very very wise! 😆

@@MrWombatty Even shows with an audience will typically add a layer of recorded laughter on top of the audience if they felt they weren't being sufficiently enthused. It's so easy to tell.
