Tarek Fatah is trying to awaken Indian Muslims to a Nation State with Constitution, Rule of Law laid down as per the Constitution, living in a multi cultural society with equal rights to all to become progressive and modern shoulder to shoulder with the mainstream Society of India. Ummmmmh!!!! My ancestors are from Kashmir. So, I take interest in the ongoing developments in that region! In my view, Islam and democracy can't co-exist. Because, Islam forbids its followers to follow any rule other than Sharia (which is called Allah's Law). Meaning, a Nation State with Constitution, man made laws giving equal rights to all citizens, principle of justice for all remains unacceptable, because, it takes away the privilege of the religious rulers! The Sharia Law provides incentive for men to be MEN(!) and Allahs reps as Mullahs! Unlike religious leaders in other religion, in the name of Allah, Mullahs enjoy free ride over the thinking / will of 'true' followers of Islam! Intelligent Muslims, who (may be able read / grasp science / engineering / medicine and do real job to earn money and make decent living) also get brainwashed by Mullahs, because of grinding during formative years on Kuran PLUS the doctrineS of 'duty to Allah' AND real life starting in heaven after death!! It is time, Kashmir young generation have to make up their mind to keep going deeper in to the Islamist way (which they already have traveled quite a distance) and become "another hell on earth like Syria" or take a pause, think through about the future and join hands with current State Govt and Central Govt of India both of which are VERY PROGRESSIVE and LOW ON CORRUPTION!! Already 2 generations of Kashmiri youth have spoilt their life following the advise from Pakistan based Jihadists! This third one also go the same way, would mean point of NO RETURN!
