I’ve been dying for good Yoda gameplay. All the “Yoda Guides” just go through his abilities but it’s obvious they don’t actually know how to play him effectively. I was starting to think he was just unplayable, until this. TY dude keep up the great work.
Ironically, as one of the most defensive heroes, in hero showdown you should play him as offensively as possible. Keep changing positions with him and never just spam attack. His dash is unblockable which lots of people don't realise. He counters vader and grievous especially well as those two rely on their defensive capabilities. Make sure vader's grip is on cooldown before you properly lay into him.
One last thing, his heal actually breaks immobilising effects such as vader's grip, which is another thing people miss. hope this helps!
And I don't know if you know this (you probably do), his jump attack is op. You should rarely use the normal attack because jump attack makes you harder to target and can sometimes deal even more damage than the normal one.

Yoda was the very first light side hero I started using when I started playing BF2. All of these clips I can relate to because I’ve been in all of these situations. Also glad to see another Yoda sweat, I barely see Yodas past level 20 nowadays.

@@UncannyLiving your not doomed just literally keep dashing and have a high sensitivity for if they’re all around you you can block and parry all around you and never stop dashing and your defensive rush is a huge tool in hurting them and getting your stamina up cause they can’t touch you
Those last 1v2s are just intense especially as Yoda

@@goodatmoincroft9856 ive had a tournament and in the finals i played as yoda against a dooku player and i thought the same(yoda counter to dooku).but holy shit this guy absolutely destroyed me.He just always parried my f attacks and i immediately lost a lotta health.

@@Reysious Really? Well my experience with Yoda on console is a counter to Dooku, but when your on PC then it can get a lot different, so we both have our opinions on different platforms
the fact that he can beat both dooku AND VADER (the most op character in the game) with yoda just makes him one of the best duelists in battlefront 2
Just some advice, attack or jump attack during presence to cancel the animation (or do damage) just thought it could’ve been useful at 4:57
I love how Yoda is a terrible hero at first, but when you can really master him, he can be ruthless like this haha.

Excellent duels as always, Reysious! I honestly believe Yoda is my weakest Light Side Hero, due to his very slow melee speed. I can't tell you how many times I whiff an attack and get hit with 2-3 from my enemy lol. Thank you for showing me some tricks with the Jedi Grandmaster!

I like using yoda because he's smaller and if you just fling yourself around with dashes and his dash attack, you can become unpredictable and get some good hits off. And being able to get out of the freeze and choke is super helpful.

How exactly does ''size matters not'' work? Does it just give you +60 hp to your base health when the ability is used? Does it give you more hp if you are running ''feel the force'' star card? Why do you prefer ''size matters not'' over ''feel the force star''card? I'm sorry, can't for the life of me figure out the mechanics behind this card.

Let's see here. Fast and accurate, defensive yet not too defense, clearly able to parry and there were some places where you were in the red with your health. Could take a WHILE before I can defeat you. You truly are a worthy man and the only question I have is what level you are you gotta be at least a gold rank right?

when i first got this game i only played HVV and arcade with my brother and i didn’t know any other game modes. so i found out about co-op, and grinded so hard i almost have every hero a gold badge. I also have the old master skin in a matter of months (i quit the game for a while and got back to it in december)

2: It lets you regen up to 60hp when using presence, but in return the ability cooldown is 13 seconds longer, but still worth it imo.
