I like his song and I hate to keep say this, but the change is that Baby Lasagna should have been disqualified for plagiarizing two artists in one song, perhaps the jury decided to not vote for him knowing the allegiances of plagiarism. But even without plagiarizing anyone, the song and performance of Nemo was among every other song and artist. Thankfully most of the jury made justice because Rim Tim Tagi Dim should have never get through the semifinals, but it was the public's choice and they broke the rules for maintain your interest on the ESC.
The only thing that needs to be changed is Corruption in televote, EBU should investigate it. If it wasn't for that then Baby Lasagna would have definitely won.
Honestly, I really think the Jury shouldn't have so much power over the contest. They should only be allowed to give out 8 or 10 as a minimum and not 12.
The juries this year were among the most lopsided in history, that's all. If we go by the years of the current system, normalize by amount of countries we will get the following for the highest jury score and distance to the second place among the juries: 2016- 281, 95 difference. 2017- 335, 91. 2018- 232, 15. 2019- 222, 6. 2021- 253, 18. 2022- 261, 14. 2023- 340, 163!. 2024- 365!, 147. Note that 2017 was both a jury and televote winner by huge margin. In the recent two years the juries selected the winner almost entirely.
But in this case, what would be done would not be to multiply the televote by 1.5 and not by 3? Since we are talking about a transition from 50 to 75%?
I hope there will some changes. Televoting is a huge amount of money in the game. If the audience realizes that their vote, year after year, doesn't matter, they will become discouraged and they will stop participating in it. And the Eurovision must be profitable, on various aspects. We need to limit the possibility of a situation in which the public's voice cannot change anything.
Exactly... I voted 20 times this year and spend money on that.... it ended up not making any difference. That really feels like watching your money go up in smoke. Definitely don't intent to vote again unless they change the system and televotes get more weight
yes and jury votes first came when? 2014? 2015 something like that. A 50/50 split is the most fair thing we have gotten when we think that Eurovision was for the majority of time only Jury votes.
doesn't change much. People love to complain. Some years, the jury winner is the best song and other years, it's the televote. Jury favourites were very good this year (admittedly not last year though) and Croatia did very well with jury. Televoting was hijacked by politics this year. On a personal level, there's about ten songs I would have been happy winning this year, but ultimately Switzerland resonated with me the best. To combine pop, opera and rap within seconds, while balancing on a spinning beyblade with no help, knowing full well that falling would derail the whole performance, was glorious. The lyrics were affecting and inspiring.
How ironic that in a video that emphasizes the televote you chose to ignore the song that the audience loved so much. More of the lame, childish bullying. 😂
Why don't they award points for placing rather than combined/ jury televote number. 12 points for 1st, 10 points for 2nd, 8 points for 3rd, 7 points for 4th, 6 points for 5th, 5 points for 4th and so on. Switzerland came 1st with the jury, and 5th in the televote, Croatia 1st in the televote and 3rd with the jury. Switzerland 17 Croatia 20
You have a point. Better to award points to all the contestants from 1 to the amount of contestantants competing. if there are 34 acts. Then jury and televote can vote from 1 to 34 to decide all the placings. If their are any ties than the contestants should vote out any ties.
I would not be angry about this but it did make me realize something. Nemo was my favorite act this year and Baby Lasagna was my second. I had thrown more votes towards Baby Lasagna because I wanted them to win, and it was so jarring when my actual favorite won (they almost never do, and yes I still voted for Nemo). Now seeing who I tried to let win at the top makes me sad that my favorite lost XD maybe I would have been sad either way but idk because this is after the contest and I have gotten much happier that FINALLY my favorite song took home the trophy
Even though I loooved Kaarija and really enjoyed Baby Lasagna, I think that 50-50 system is the best thing for Eurovision. It helped Eurovision getting great back from 2009. Because of it Eurovision lost the "circus" renoma, and many big names around the continent decide to compete, with a good quality music. I can stand some years not being won by public (as well as mine) favorites, as long as Eurovision can still be great
El problema no es 50-50, el problema es que el jurado solo sabe apreciar algunos estilos musicales y por eso siempre los puntua alto, menospreciando a los otros generos musicales

POINTS, not votes. Votes are converted into points. Each country gives 12,10,8-1 points to the top 10 most voted countries. 1st place gets 12, 2nd place gets 10, 3rd place gets 8 etc.
Croatia should send Baby Lasagna back to Eurovision for next year. I wonder how the votes would have been allocated if the Netherlands wasn't disqualified.
Personally, I hope he is done with this shit show 😅 I'll just follow him in his musical journey and support him there, I'm pretty much done with eurovision with all the drama and people who are spending money to vote & it doesn't even do anything
@@ESCGiorgio While the proportions are correct (75/25), the result isn't normalized the same way they are with the 50/50 system, and that's why we get these huge amount of points. Instead of multiplying the public votes by 3, you should've multiplied it by 1.5 and the jury points by 0.5 so that we could also compare the results with the past editions. That way, Croatia wins with 667.5 points. I know, the .5 looks ugly, but at least we can now compare the result with previous results, like Salvador Sobral's 758 points.
Juries count maybe 500 people, while the public counts tens of millions. So when you have a song that's not even in top 3 in public vote, it'll be forgotten after approximately a month.

No, juries are guilty 2 years in a row of choosing the winner and with a big gap from 1st to 2nd jury place. But televote giving points to countries instead of songs is even worse.
Would love to see how many points each country would receive if a certain country wasn't participating. By changing every score of the country below from 10->12, 8->10 etc.

POINTS, not votes. Votes are converted into points. Each country gives 12,10,8-1 points to the top 10 most voted countries. 1st place gets 12, 2nd place gets 10, 3rd place gets 8 etc.
Don't mke these videos they only spark anger in the fans for some reason
This scores woild be worse. Fortunately jury points affecting half of the scores.
Who’s 4th?
Croatia should send Baby Lasagna back to Eurovision for next year. I wonder how the votes would have been allocated if the Netherlands wasn't disqualified.
Personally, I hope he is done with this shit show 😅
I'll just follow him in his musical journey and support him there, I'm pretty much done with eurovision with all the drama and people who are spending money to vote & it doesn't even do anything
Just bend the rules until Croatia wouls have won 😂
That's not how math works.
Uhm then what is wrong about it ?
@@ESCGiorgio While the proportions are correct (75/25), the result isn't normalized the same way they are with the 50/50 system, and that's why we get these huge amount of points. Instead of multiplying the public votes by 3, you should've multiplied it by 1.5 and the jury points by 0.5 so that we could also compare the results with the past editions.
That way, Croatia wins with 667.5 points. I know, the .5 looks ugly, but at least we can now compare the result with previous results, like Salvador Sobral's 758 points.
@@lilypad7851 aaaa yeah maybe it would look better in the eye
Good we have the jury. We have the best winner this year 🇨🇭
Juries count maybe 500 people, while the public counts tens of millions. So when you have a song that's not even in top 3 in public vote, it'll be forgotten after approximately a month.
@@missk9521look at 2nd and 3rd in the televote and tell me that those points were solely because of the song and nothing else
@@missk9521 that‘s why no one talks about croatia :)
@@19LAKing94 Are we really gonna go there? Nemo failed to outsell a single concert in Switzerland, while Baby Lasagnas outsold three in Zagreb in less than 10 minutes and also scheduled gigs all across Europe and Croatia. You can keep dreaming if it makes you feel better.
Although juries condemned Greece i am happy that because of the juries Nemo won.
Look better
No to 75/25. That is a complete bullshit.
Yessss Silverster deserved better
I prefer these results over the actual ones
Abolish juries.
Thank you
Abolish televote!
No, then it just becomes a high school popularity contest with the bigger populations always winning. Totally unfair
Yeaahhh how the vote turned out this year the televote has no room to talk
No, juries are guilty 2 years in a row of choosing the winner and with a big gap from 1st to 2nd jury place.
But televote giving points to countries instead of songs is even worse.
@@ff7_fan298 You can't vote for ypur own country
Bambie thug is always the 6th 🤣
So symbolic
😂😂😂😂
Would love to see how many points each country would receive if a certain country wasn't participating.
By changing every score of the country below from 10->12, 8->10 etc.
Me sgrada este 75/25, pero tambien acepto el 60/40.
greece was below average
Greece and Armenia were the bundle of joy from all this circus, Deserved higher!
My favourite entry
Где Ізраїль ??
4th place probably is
I love this much than the official one
Even more perfect:90% televoters 10% jury votes
It is perfect the way it is! Quality prevails!
This is so unnecessary dishonest and stupid lol
