  • Atmospheric Forces is a trio for Flute, Irish Flute, Alto Sax, Soprano Sax, and Piano which was jointly commissioned by the National Music Teacher's Association and the Texas Music Teacher's Association.
    The four movements are:
    1. Mist
    2. Deluge
    3. Tornado
    4. Epilogue
Mist - During the summer months, the Scottish highlands and Ireland are often shrouded in a foggy mist which gently nurtures the land.
Deluge - A deluge begins with a sprinkle, gets very heavy, and then ends with a sprinkle, leaving the land and sea new and refreshed.
Tornado - On December 26, 2015, an F4 tornado ripped through parts of Garland and Rowlett, destroying many houses. Thirteen people lost their lives in this storm.
Epilogue - This movement is all about having a deeper respect for Atmospheric Forces, both benign and destructive.
My composition and this video is dedicated to all those who have been impacted by Atmospheric Forces.
God bless all who have been touched by Atmospheric Forces.
Thanks to Christy Springer and Jaycie Skidmore for their incredible musicality.
Thanks to my entire family and all of my friends for their support.
Thanks to MTNA and TMTA for commissioning "Atmospheric Forces"

Nice to finally hear it in its entirety! I look back very fondly on our lessons, brief as they were. I hope you are doing well Mr. Springer!
