Slow down, make sure that you have enough space that if the car in front of you is turning into a spot and he fishtails you're not going to be in his way. And if there's water then there's ice underneath the water be careful everyone please, I've got family down there so please just take your time things not put hot water on your car to melt the ice it will crack your windshield if you have a remote start use it

I lived in Ft Worth my last year in the Marines and it snowed once while i was there. There were so many accidents it was crazy. Nobody knew how to drive in the snow at all. There was a car upside down in a roundabout to my neighborhood. The speed limit was 25 WTF was she doing? They probably only sell "summer tires" in the entire state.

M.C. CheddarBox... It's not a matter of knowing how because no one with the least bit of sense should be driving on roads covered in ice. I learned that lesson about five or six years back when it snowed here in Houston. I was driving barely 5mph on I-10 and still skidding and sliding all over the place. It's just too dangerous.

Most of us can't imagine why someone would be smug about living in a place that is shut down by snow and ice for a quarter of the year. Even those "superior" drivers from cold states have 20 car pileups.

    • @dwjoseph59

We texans tend to try to drive an average of 50-110 mph & zig zag in-and-out of multiple lanes of traffic while cutting off other vehicles at the last minute on almost every road (i don't drive this way in my lone star state, but many do. You see that all the time on our roads!! I live in the greater houston, tx metro where people almost get hit everyday)!! That ice & sleet sure slowed many of us down though, no one's stupid enough to try to drive 50-110 mph on packed ice & sleet!! At least i hope that no one's that stupid!!
