Mereu după ce mă uitam la un vlog de al Andreei Balaban, fredonam melodia asta. Azi am cautat pe yt "my dear friend , where have you been" și am ajuns aici. #teambalaban ❤
Took me a while to figure out but she is also the vocalist for Snake City... if you love her voice she is even better with them. Check out Don't Be Dumb, Perfect Mind, Table for Two, etc... She is amazing.
@@AscendingAbove1 I wasn't familiar with that band so went and listened to one of their songs called Spin For Me and yes, that is her... you can always spot her voice based on several features, such as her vocalization style, the way she pronounces words, how she places emphasis on certain syllables, where she chooses to utilize vibrato, etc. In general, she has a soft baby-like quality to her voice that often sounds light and breathy because it comes from the throat instead of the diaphragm. This isn't always the case as she does also sing from the diaphragm... it depends on the song and whether it is the verse, bridge, or chorus. Basically, she is more likely to sing the chorus from the diaphragm and the bridge from her throat with verses being somewhere in between. In addition, when she was younger, she almost sounded like she had some kind of tiny speech impediment but which actually wasn't (similar to but not an actual lisp)... I don't know how to really describe this aspect of her voice, but it is easier to hear on Snake City's first album. As I mentioned above, her voice is so distinct that you can often figure out whether she is the singer by analyzing the pronunciation, delivery, emphasis, and vibrato. Take the part of this song here at 0:10 where she sings the verse "where have YOU been." There is a greater emphasis on the U sound and there is a tiny vibrato when she does it... she doesn't always do this, but she does it in so many of her songs. For comparison... take Flux Vortex's song Spin For Me and I will show you where she does the exact same thing here at 0:23 when she sings "Where YOU go on and move...." See what I mean? Even though she holds the note/syllable longer in Spin For Me... it is identical in her delivery with respect to the pronunciation, the emphasis, and the vibrato. She has so many little dead giveaways like that. Another example is here at 0:44 where she sings "is it ALL lost." That is another very distinct feature of her's that you will see over and over throughout her work... listen to some of Snake City's early stuff and you will know exactly what I mean because when she utilizes vibrato her voice is singularly unique and no other female singer's vibrato sounds like hers. With all of that said, I don't know if she has only featured as a guest singer on some of Flux Vortex's songs or if she is their only singer as I would need to listen to more of their stuff. She has done a lot of vocal work with numerous bands over the years. But yeah, that absolutely is her on Spin For Me.
@@unknownmovements You should check the one called "Not Your Baby" at 1:57 her singing the "yeah yeah" part made it clear for me that it is definitely her Her voice is really amazing and in the overall music she puts out is as well, the first song I discovered of her was Velee's Body of Water 2 years ago and it is still my favourite. I saw your comment on that video and thats how I got to know she's in Snake City so you have my thanks
@@AscendingAbove1 I just listened to Not Your Baby and it is definitely her, so she may very well be the band's sole singer... I'm going to check out all their stuff this weekend. It is so funny that you mentioned Body of Water by Velee because that was how I discovered her name was Vicki Vox because Snake City didn't list her name... that song is what made me realize she was performing vocal work for other bands. "I saw your comment on that video and thats how I got to know she's in Snake City so you have my thanks"... I'm so happy to have been of help and thank you for introducing me to Flux Vortex ❤

@@unknownmovements Could it be that also be the vocalist for Flux Vortex? the voices sound like hers but with a slight attempt of disguise
