Great job, and perfect execution, and perfect illustration of the waste of time and/or lack of understanding karate from some people who clames to be the only to do the right or original version of one kata. Shito ryu and shotokan version is quite different ... and has nothing to do with shorin ryu version. We can say the same for all kata found in different school.
Different unsu. 😊 Unsu in most Shorin-ryu schools are Motobu unsu while Shito-ryu and Shotokan unsu is Aragaki unsu. Shito-ryu today is quite far away from its Shorin-ryu roots (Okinawan body dynamics) but that has nothing to do with the two unsu being different unsu. 🥋
I also practice many variations from different styles of the same kata. I, myself, usually have to either rewatch a video or read some notes before doing the kata about 2 or 3 times to avoid confusion. If I’m asked to do some random kata I haven’t been practicing lately, out of the blue, it’s bound to come with something mixed up.
Yes, it can be done. Actually most of Unshu competitors does the jump, the mikazuki is a traditional variation, but you can switch it for a jump like in Unsu!
Anyway great implement of kata
