Video left a huge impression on me. Combines two of my favorite things in the same place. Tamiyas footage from possibly 80s or 90s. And the beach. Its just art.
area52a My first true RC car was a Subaru Brat, I bought it back in 1982 for about $100......This brings back some good memories! ' hi A... in 1980's was so good cheaper currency price... now in 2018 is a so terrible currency price as ripoff
The real car is 4WD but this kit is just 2WD. I'm about to build one myself-I can't wait till it's finished. Painting both bodies (ABS and polycarbonate) will definitely be a chore with all the details to make them look right.
TboneNYC10 In this vid that Brat looks dead real. Nice!! but whhyyyyyyyyyyyyyy at the end.lol ' hi T... never let any R/C tamiya models in the water... it is a NOT water proof
I love the body style of the brat.. especially with the roll bar and rear facing seats. Somebody should bring it back and offer an EV model. Light, Efficient and Functional.
as far as i remember, the turbo models had on demand 4wd, meaning that there was a switch for it...this car is obviously 4wd, (as seen on 0:44 ) but i doubt that the stock tranny and dif can handle those tires...could be wrong though
Hi buddy, I’m giving away a brat kit on my channel and was wondering if I could use your video as footage for the giveaway, it’s by far the best video out there showing the brat off at its best. Not sure if your still active as this is a very old video but hoping you are so I can credit you
wwwTamiya101com great stuff buddy, very much appreciated, obviously feel free to jump in on the giveaway and also I’ll make sure your credited on the giveaway video 👍🏻
It seems that the Blackfoot was far more prominent in the history of RC than the Subaru Brat. I saw the Blackfoot a gazillion times in magazines, but never saw the Subaru Brat until now.

This is a great video and it almost looks real.
A classic and happy 40th Tamiya S/B.

It looks so awesome. Reminds me of an RC truck I had as a kid.
That was MAGICAL. Can it be 1986 again?
Wooooow. That is beautyful!! The video is really well done, slowmo is amazing..., and the car, the Tamiya Subaru Brat is TOP!
Excellent showcase of the brat!! You got my sub!! Nice job!!
Next step is a full four link suspension lift,,, that body lift just for tire clearance is just accidents waiting to happen
How real! Super movie!
hi S D...

@@bestamerica he waterproofed it im sure haha
we all live in a yellow submarine lol cool video subed
A BRAT is a beautiful beast and what a great way this video proves it! But BRATs don’t like water...... what a bizarre ending!👍
Do you still have this RC truck or no
Great video to watch! I love the Brat body!
Back when R/C trucks had a rear bed - instead of a "hatchback" (like modern RC trucks have)
Nice RC toy. thought it was real for a second...
I love the body style of the brat.. especially with the roll bar and rear facing seats. Somebody should bring it back and offer an EV model. Light, Efficient and Functional.
Awesome video ! Can you fit a lipo stick pack in there ? If so what kind do you use ?
@starguard i think they didnt, the electronics were sacrificed for this video
Quality video!! I want a Brat!!
i love it!
My first RC

Dam that thing looks scale - just awsome 1:33 looks real life as there is nothing to compare the 1:10 scale truck too.
This video is perfect.
hi S C...

this video was so old videotape as VHS tape or another tape
I thought this on came in 2wd ? or is it just a decal that says 4wd or did you convert it to 4wd
@starguard
You know you can water proof the receiver very simply by pulling a ballon over it and zip tying the end of the ballon.
great video!!
Beautiful
Amazing! Keep up the great work!
Asplenia.
nice subaru
240P? Holy shit.
Ha ha, I´ve lived the moment at 2:04 a thousand times in GTA Vice CIty!

tamiya blackfoot truck / brat subaru / frog are same chassic frame
Then it must have been 2WD. Clearly, the body is lying when it displays, "4WD".

hi perfect. tamiya blackfoot chassic frame dont have 4X4 WD. same as brat and frog
