What?! Taylor’s already back on camera duty?! #champion We definitely relate to those battery issues 😂 Bumper looks awesome - I definitely prefer frame chop over full width. Great vid, guys!
CRAWL TV she was having panic attacks from staying inside so I had her sit in a chair the whole time to get her out of the house. This project last 2 hours longer then it should’ve just because of batteries. I’m in love with the bumper though it looks amazing. Thank you I hope y’all are having fun in California.
Looking at doing this exact bumper. How do you like it 3 years in? Debating between this and a VKS, and possibly a BFH. I just bought a motorbilt rear bumper so this may match nicely.
SevenSlotSociety thank you that means a lot hearing it from you bud. 👍🏽 I hope this does help people because it can easily be done from home. Well as long as your batteries are charged. 😂
I had a local shop install hatchet bumper on my 2017 JKUR. Vacuum pump was relocated into the engine compartment. Since then whenever I start the jeep after being idle all night, the Vacuum pump makes a loud sound which goes away after a few seconds. Seems to happen when backing up and taking foot off the brake. Usually only happens at first startup. Have you noticed this? Thanks.
Yes, the vacuum pump was located far from the driver by jeep engineers for this reason. They wanted to keep the noise away from the driver. The sound is unfortunately normal.
@@jaberry77 yeah man I bet, I've been looking at some minimalistic bumpers too. I have the Smittybilt XRC and like you said they stick out a little far out and also low, but gotta behave and save money for axles lol but I want to get a different front bumper at one point.... Motobilt is killing it!!
Copperhead_jk I’m planning on axles and 37/40 next year. So I’m going to be getting all everything else done throughout the year. Hopefully by the time i drop axles and tires in I’ll have everything else in order. Still a long way to go but some major purchases have pushed me towards my goal. I would highly recommend motobilt. There’s work is high quality.
Looks so much better!
JK Gear and Gadgets thank you. I would have to agree. This bumper looks amazing and will improve my capabilities a ton!!!

What size drill bit
Great Video! This video was so much help. Thanks.
Who makes the sway bar bracket for the vac pump?
I did this exact mod. Only difference is I measured 6 1/2” from the body mount.

Hey man I was just curious can you tell me what fog lights that you installed in the model built bumper, or even better maybe a link to them?
Looks good man!
Copperhead_jk thank you. I’m very happy with this bumper. I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time.

Looks great!
Thank you. I’m a huge fan. Now I just need to get a winch for it.
What blade is he using to cut the frame?
What is using to "clean up" his cuts?
Metal blade to cut. I didn’t really concentrate on cleaning them up much because they are hidden underneath the bumper.
@@jaberry77 thanks for the reply. Is the frame aluminium or did you sand & paint for rust?
J. Ward I did sand and paint for rust. I just didn’t spend a ton of time getting everything perfectly smooth.
Wears safety glasses when using the angle grinder but not with the sawzall...
Haha yes you know I’m safe sometimes at least 🤣
Very nice looking bumper and great video. Glad your back making vids
mark maiato I’m happy to be back. I just can’t deal with the cold. It’s going to be a good year of videos.
