Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in La Grange, Kentucky, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much and have a nice day and night. 22:50
Hey jaw tooth awesome trains. It's neat seeing houses and businesses all decked out for Christmas. I enjoy seeing muti color lights. Are you gonna put a train around Christmas tree? . Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋♀️
Thank you for your patience. Well rewarded with some fine night time action. From UK eyes 2 mile freights in the middle of a busy pedestrian filled roadway seems unreal. Great videos thank you
Elwood Indiana has street running and they go pretty quick on the street. It’s a residential street lined with houses. JawTooth and another guy have videos on it if you’re interested.
Your camera really works well in the dark! La Grange is a must see for rail fans. Hope that the local businesses get enough patrons to stay open and flourish. Really a great destination. Thanks JT
Lagrange is my favorite railfan spot in Kentucky, next would be High bridge, next would be the tunnels at Mullins station, then the tunnel at Park city. Great video Jawtooth! Thanks for sharing!👍
Another awesome video! Lagrange, railfan paradise! All monsters today. Allot of nice graffiti. I think that's what auto racks were really made for 😂that's what makes them tolerable. Just glad the last one was not. Watching the names on the racks saw all the class 1 railroads represented. The auto racks are good at night, the light reelects off the shiny metal. I appreciate your hard work driving all that way! Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
Another awesome railfan catch is loaded autoracks. Thanks, JawTooth my friend. CSX shouldn't interrupt the 2024 LaGrange Christmas event. Last year Adults and Children standing on the tracks. They start the event night time. 👍⭐
Two AWESOME CSX autorack street running trains, one AWESOME Norfolk Southern mixed freight street running train, one AWESOME CSX double stack train and a very COOL old caboose, passenger car, train station. Very NICE firetrucks and Santa Claus as well. Thanks for sharing JT!
La Grange really comes alive with Christmas lights at night! It really gets me in the holiday spirit! Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family!
Hey JT, that new camera does a awesome job at night that is a crystal clear picture it takes or video I should say but anyway another awesome video my friend and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Always look forward to Christmas time in Lagrange! Keep telling the wife we need to visit, she’s not a rail fan! No one’s perfect Son! Cars must me selling pretty good these days!
Thank you for sharing. Watching your video on my tablet and the same time watching you and the view on Virtual Railfan at the same time. Two different views from the same location. Appreciate your comments!! Great job.😊
7:44 I too remember seeing cars out in the open back in the 1970s. I also remember crossing the rickety bridge on the east end of the BN Eola yard and feeling sick at the sight of a brand new car with a smashed windshield right by the bridge which was obviously the place from which someone launched a very big rock. Autoracks - the railroads couldn't live without them today. That bridge which was so much fun for the Northern Illinois railfan is also long gone. Memories from a bygone era.
Recently found your channel. Enjoy it a lot. I grew up in Baltimore and still live near Baltimore. Lots of railroad history in Baltimore. I was a local truck driver for 44 years and I would see full NS car carriers going into the Dundalk Marine terminal with cars to be exported and depart with full carriers with imported cars.
Another great video. Your street running trains are my favorites. I think I’ll 0:08 celebrate my birthday on Sunday by watching some of your old street runner videos. Thanks.
Thought I seen you there but wasn’t sure that it was you. Was on a mini vacation and stopped in Lagrange for Light up Lagrange. Our first time there and really enjoyed the fun and festivities. Watched the auto racks as they were stopped by the railroad museum before they proceeded through town. Always enjoy watching your videos and look forward to seeing them.
The never ending perpetual courthouse project. Government is great about building monuments to itself. Loved the action, appreciate it much. Thanks JT!
After just one railfanning visit to La Grange back in August, I love that town! Now I really need to come back at this time of year! Thanks for the video, Brian, and Merry Christmas!
@@JawTooth You're way closer than I am! From the western suburbs of St. Louis, it's 315 miles, or almost 5 hours. Sure it's an easy drive and straight shot to Louisville and onto I-71, but you've got a better head start!
I watched the light up night and parade on the la grange live rail cam. Pretty cool. Not long after the parade a train came through. (Same one on your video. Lol). Hope to make to la grange one day just for the rail fan experience. I have a few places on my list.
Looked like you were at your catch out with 171, except the track speed was a little quick for it. 😊 That's cool that CSX works with LaGrange on stuff like that.
In my hometown of New Haven Connecticut we used to have Street running trains between the 1890s and the 1940s Streetcars last ran in New Haven Connecticut's second biggest city in 1948. Tracks were torn up and catenaries torn down as lines were replaced by bus routes and an increasingly car driving public
La Grange KY is my favorite place for watching the street running trains going through the middle of town on Virtual Railfan and great to see you there in La Grange as they get ready for Christmas with their decorations at night this is always nice here with their Light Up La Grange especially with trains going through. Always great to see the amazing awesome live action super pets at home playing and getting ready for Christmas and I hope that you, your family and the super pets will have a nice Christmas and Thank You Jaw Tooth.🎄🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲🎄
watched a long train of auto racks run my my work place, back in about 1978, the old open uncovered style. Nearly every car had it's windows shattered, by gun shots, or rocks, or why autoracks are now enclosed.
For me as a european it's a real phenomenon! There comes a train like a moving wall, literally said with those autoracks and split apart a town for a few minutes!

@JawTooth You're very welcome, Brian.
I visited LaGrange some time back. If your car is parked in a slant slot, the train passes about four feet behind it. Excellent planning by the city!
Very cool and Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching!
Nice footage of CSX auto rack with mid helper DPU at night/big train,Lagrange looks nice decorated for Christmas!🎄🛤🚂
The night running trains look to be coming in at well under 10 mph, I guess to be safe because of the crowds in the street.
Nice, I caught 2 trains days ago and I’ll eventually catch another train on the CN Beaumont Subdivision this weekend.
JT, super cool 😎 video 🚆 📹 looks awesome at night 🌙 time all lit up,
Awesome video with a dpu working hard but wait there’s more to come 👍🇺🇸😎🚂❄️👍

Like the trains that go through the middle of towns , cool video
Looked like you were at your catch out with 171, except the track speed was a little quick for it. 😊 That's cool that CSX works with LaGrange on stuff like that.
I remember the autoracks in the 80s, they were just frames, no siding. I'm guessing too many rock throwers and warm hobos 😁
Your camera did very well, everything was sharp and plenty of lighting although you do pan sort of fast! Thanks!
😊😊😊thank-you its great to see the towns buildings too
Thanks for watching!
That's some beautiful, cinematic video there. Perfect night video.

That train with 6 locomotives (one a dpu), to quote a Doobie Brothers song, is a Long Train Running.
