There is no limit to the shameworthiness of the U.K. Britain has been doing aggressive wars and colonies etc. for hundreds of years. Their battleaxe Queen is a multi-billionaire. They have no claim of goodness, They are trying to claw their way back into power in the areas they dominated through conquest in the past.

There's a miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighty vast population of pretend followers of Christ in the U.S. who ignore ALL of that, and ALL of these teachings are in play in the heroic actions of Manning and Assange, and the violations of these teachings in the injustices done to Assange and Manning, who actually exemplified, by their actions, these beliefs.

John B . What can we do? First, decide who "we" are. Second, whomever "we" are would need to make sacrifices, like discontinue paying federal taxes, on principle, then endure the consequences. Not paying taxes out of greed is apparently healthy and patriotic, but to refuse to pay them out of principle, en masse, is the only form of protest that can create waves.

we have to show them what for the People, of the People, by the People looks like. today is a good day. we can put on our yellow vests and occupy in front of all hospitals until they send a card to everyone who requests one at healthcaredotgov. then we can sit in our wheelchairs, just grab some popcorn and watch all the international "Health Care Provider" Corpse(spelled correctly) implode. (just think Jesus kicking the moneychangers out of the temple, except in a hospital) then work on the supply side. it will be amazing to watch health care professionals learn how to practice medicine instead of insurance.
i know that's a different subject but its all about Workers of the World Unite. the health care issue is way overdue and no 'party' is ever going to do it. health care affects Every Family; but a lot of People do not really understand what has happened with Julian Assange and the magnitude of the Free Press. (maybe we should wear black surgical masks also.) we can work together.
we can do this. it's spring, time to plant for a harvest soon. didn't it only take the Gilete Jaunes about 8 days to get their gas tax removed in France? Peaceful protests have worked in Iceland, Poland, South Korea, Charlottesville, the US for SOPA, Bolivia, New Zealand, Ireland, Venezuela, and many more places just in the last few years we didn't get to hear about.
We need a big win to Unite ourselves. only We can change our Karma. physicans, heal ourselves. we don't need to wait for some organizers to organize our organization. we already own one it's called the united states government; and it needs get with us or get gone now.
Next, we start disassembling the military industrial complex and show the World the Way to Peace.
      that would be Great

    • @randallhilburn9592
      @randallhilburn9592 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@David Renton Thanks for the info; I wasn't aware of that fact.
Since I made my initial comment I have also learned that Assange had also just started to publicize proof of the massive corruption of Mareno and his family.
Another peculiar detail, Assange is Australian, not American. The implication is that the US is going to start extraditing foreign citizens of client states who publish things Washington doesn't like.
Everything that Assange and Manning were originally exposing were crimes committed by the US Government. None of it harmed national security. The lesson here is that it is now considered a crime to expose the crimes of those in power.

And as happened after Eugene Debs was released after 3 years of a 10-year sentence in prison. He was a shell of a man & dead of heart failure from imprisonment 5 years later.
Comments here say we will be praising Assange in 100 years as a hero. But barely anyone remembers Debs today, exactly 100 years after his trial.
May Day 1919 riots in the streets erupted all over America in support of Debs, who said at his trial:
"Your Honor, years ago I recognized my kinship with all living beings, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on earth. I said then, and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it, and while there is a criminal element, I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free."

to say that the current British establishment has little respect for law is an understatement. The British tradition - and American only by extension - of human, political and individual rights are after all arguably the most exalted in the world. The current British government's facile and apparently gleeful willingness to trash that centuries old tradition in a craven attempt to appease their American deep state overlords is epochal. This doesn't even begin to be about Chelsea Manning and Julian Assange, this is about the role of Anglo-American culture in the world today and beyond. It is not possible to overstate the respect and veneration with which British culture has been held in the far flung cultures of the world. Consider the role of non British citizens in the overblown property market in London. When that is gone, the British empire will look like a freak of nature, the epitome of misplaced values, hope and ambition. The appetite for replacing entirely that misplaced trust will be immeasurable

The betrayal of the paralytic JUDAS has left its body and its destiny in the hands of the IMPERIAL CORTE and its SOUL OF WARRIOR suffers the blows of the SIONAZISMO ANGLOSAJON and its lashes without batting an eye. Once Assange is safely disappeared, then the fascists can get to work on the real trashing of the 1st Amendment in the 2nd term. This is just a warm-up & another bit of red meat for the base in the campaign. tRump's brownshirts will have no more memory of Assange as their "hero" in 2016 than tRump showed today.
Despite all the hideous things we heard spewing from tRump's sphincter-like mouth during the 2016 campaign & every "rally" since, I expect the language after the conventions will top anything we've heard yet... or can conceive. Threats against political opposition will be as virulent as Hitler's incitements in 1932. The days of dog-whistles & coded speech will be over.
