  • The Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA), offered by the University of Cambridge, is designed to give students the opportunity to demonstrate that they have the essential mathematical thinking and reasoning skills needed for a demanding undergraduate mathematics or mathematics-related course. This is the 2019 exam, Paper 1, with Paper 2 coming soon. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this exam because it covered a wide range of maths topics with varying levels of difficulty; a shame that I couldn't finish in 75 minutes (finished in 90 minutes). I look forward to doing more of these exams in the future.

at 27:50 , that trick is typically taught in first year of college, so around ages 16-17. So yes it is taught in england :)

Nice to know that England has a substantially better mathematics curriculum than Australia

@@jplikesmaths haha I wouldn't go that far :p. Also, I'm from England and I'm not even entirely sure what this test is for. As far as I'm aware the admissions tests that Cambridge use for people who do well in interviews are the STEP tests, which are stupidly hard if you want an even bigger challenge for a video ahah
