Your guide is straight to the point. Also I am always curious if I need to color grade every clip as that will be too much time but you answered my question in the guide that many other TH-camrs didn’t mention. It’s great that I can apply the color grading to all the clips. Subscribed.
What I understand is First apply lut and than convert into rec709. Im little confused .is rec709 also used as LUT ? In last of your video do you apply rec709 after applying this blue Lut?
Thanks for creating this very useful tuturial. I watched similar videos, but this was by far the most informative. You made each step easy to understand! You definitely earned my follow and I'll be watching all your vidoes on your page!
Whether vn editor from android app can be used to edit d log videos or this is the only way? I prefer to edit videos on my mobile. If not then I will use this video. Thank you.
Hey! I am not sure about the mobile editors. I use Luma Fusion on mobile, but for editing my smartphone clips only. Didn't try to color grade anything there yet 😁
@@1FLASHstudios not sure but since da Vinci resolve is free software I will start using that. For my raw photos with nikon d7500 I used to use adobe photo shop.
@@1FLASHstudiosthanks! My ultimate plan is to move my editing to an iPad Pro. I’ve used my phone forever but it’s definitely limited. I made a video with the pocket 3 and was pretty happy with how it looked with no color grading but I want to step my game up for sure. I just don’t know anything about that
awesome! the editing experience on the iPad is ok but it is far from a full video editing app on a computer. luma fusion is great! i have edited some of my content on it in the past, and the app is very cheap 👍
A helpful post. Could be made even more helpful by telling how to install the .CUBE file on a PC as well (even though you don't have one). For example, the download doesn't have to be decompressed (or unzipped). Just drop it in the appropriate directory under the Davinci Resolve subdirectory.
Can you colour grade using the iMovie app can comes with the Apple Macbook Pro / iMac or I will need to purchase the Davinci resolve Studio App? The App is £300! So I need to know if this is necessary as I do not film professionally only occasionally on the DJI Pocket 3
Thanks! Btw, I suspect all the D-Log M to REC709 LUTs from DJI for Pocket 3, Action 4, Mini 4 Pro, Mavic 3 Pro are all the same file renamed differently.
@@1FLASHstudios thankss fr reply. Which u prefer more of DJI pocket 3, is it normal color profile or color correction if we don't wanna do color grading 😅
New Feature Requests for the DJI OSMO Pocket 3 1. Add a dwelling time for each of up to four settable movement positions in Motion Time-Lapse Mode. As each of the four settable positions programmed into a motion time-lapse sequence is reached, the end user could set from 1 to 10 seconds of a pause in gimbal movement as each programmed position is reached during the sequence before the gimbal moves forward to the next programmed position. This would yield a much more dynamic and professional looking, smoother motion time-lapse sequence. 2. In Motion Time-Lapse Mode the ability to set movement ease in and ease out settings from 0.5 to 3 seconds for each programmable gimbal position before gimbal movement normal progression rate is reached. 3. True 24.00p filming speed. 4. The ability to set time-lapse sequences based on 24.00p. 5. The ability to be able to record from the DJI Mic 2 and from a plugged in via USB audio source at the same time. 6. Adding a 10 Bit 4:2:2 recordable video codec. 7. Please add zoom capability when shooting in all time-lapse modes.
@@1FLASHstudios Which ones ? Most of these suggestions are simple extensions of already existing functionality, only with a little extra tweaking. There certainly are no specific hardware limitations in the OSMO Pocket 3 that I am aware of, which would prevent any of these updated features from being implemented.
Point 6 for example. 10-bit 4:2:2 (assuming it is H264) with an ALL-I codec would require an UHS-II SD card. It would be great to have this in the Pocket 4 👍
@@1FLASHstudios Uhh, no. The OSMO Pocket 3 has HEVC (H.265) codec as well, and this codec can go all the way up to 16 Bit 4:4:4, therefore, 4:2:2 setting while in HEVC codec should be possible, but I'm almost 100 % positive the OSMO Pocket 3 is currently using 10 Bit 4:2:0 and not 4:2:2. I'm pretty sure the internal hardware encoding chips can handle 4:2:2 colour space.
After the pocket 3 d-log video is color gradied with DJI LUT (DJI OSMO Pocket 3 D-Log M to Rec.709 V1), the blue sky of the finished video will become extreme blue just like your video. It is total unbearable for me.
Best video for color grading for DJI Pocket 3!!! Thanks a lot for the tips and tricks.

Useful video well presented, efficient explanation at the right pace for those with adequate experience. Nicely done 👍

Sorry for the audio changing when I was looking towards the monitor. We learn from our mistakes 🫣
Is the conversion the same thing as the “color recovery” in the Mimo app?
Didn't try coloring any footage thorugh the Mimo app. Maybe someone else who did it can tell you here by a reply 😁
