PushBlock Gaming Wow! Once again, astonishing work with this video! :D I do want to point out one thing though; the costumes/alternate colors are NOT final! We know that for a fact, because Meta Ridley does not appear as an option for Ridley, despite being in his reveal trailer!
I’m going to main Pit for his “I never learned how to reeeaaaaad” Star KO alone. In all seriousness, I’m very happy with his changes and buffs, and I can’t wait to try him out in Ultimate!
I find it funny in Palutena's reveal trailer in smash 4, she tells pit "Anything an angel can do, a goddess can do better!", yet she's like two teirs below pit lol.
Gavin Adams I mean, she has a better grab combo game, recovery special and reflector which are the only thing Pit and Palu really have to compare. I dunno 👀💧
Legitimately the best analysis videos I've seen on Ultimate so far. I'm seriously loving your channel. You're concise and straight to the point. Immediate sub dude
"We are finished" Nice. Highest quality videos when it comes to this stuff. I will look back fondly on this speculation in a couple years. Back to the times when we were all dying for more information and endlessly combing over footage to see how our characters would turn out.
I’ve been a pit main sunset brawls release so I’m so happy. I think he’ll still be a mid tier but a more useable one at that. Finally all seven of us true pit mains have something to work with other that if they screw up, punishment.
Kurt Hardy, I’ve never really been big on combos, that’s why I chose pit, but I’d like to see a little more than, down throw read their reaction into a nair, up air, or fair
I think pit will be high tier solely because of the new air-dodge mecanics working to his favor. If you air dodge too low off-stage you are 100% dead. Pit is great off-stage however in sm4sh the air dodge spam made it difficult for Pit to gain anything. However in ultimate even if you opponent Air Dodge high one move off-stage, Pit can still attack him with another move. In this sense his arrows will be op as heck hitting people off-stage. Basically, Pit is okay-ish on-stage and a monster off-stage.
Ahmed Falahy they actually make fun of thing like this in Palutena’s guidance You don’t call Link: Zelda You don’t call Fox McCloud: Star Fox And you don’t call Pit: Icarus
Pit's improved aerials, damage output, and kill power already make him better to me. Hopefully his overall hitboxes are better and more consistent than his s4 self, but from what you've shown, I surely could main him again. I must thank you for doing this for bringing me new hope to my old main.
These Pit changes are exactly what he needed, in my eyes. He basically gets better air-to-ground transition on moves that work well for ground-to-air. He's basically the quintessential Smash Ultimate fighter now.
I'm excited for Pit. One thing I'm really hoping for are hitbox corrections. There are way too many cases in Smash 4 where moves don't connect properly, so I'd like to see a lot of adjustments. Also, you didn't talk about smash attacks. Pit's usmash and dsmash are two of his core moves in Smash 4 so I hope they were buffed even more. Oh yeah, that "Skyworld" theme in the description is actually called "Overworld" (in Smash 4). The name was incorrect in Brawl so I recommend fixing it. It's my favorite Nintendo song of all time so I was really happy to see it included in this video about my main (:
Can confirm that people still pop out of Pit's FSmash for no good reason. Really frustrating. What's more, directional air dodging makes it easier to punish Pit on hit when you pop out of it.
As a Corrin main I would interesting in knowing how much Corrin has changed. Very well made video. Not a lot of people are analyzing how existing characters have changed especially not to this level.
"Her pin comes out instantly now so you don’t need to slide from special to attack but it travels less further, has more end lag, and has less knockback so it’s less viable as it was in Smash 4. " *L I T E R A T E L Y U N P L A Y A B L E* Jokes aside though. Real shame if it's true. It was the most interesting move in Corrin's moveset and I loved using it.
You put way more work into these videos than you get credit for. I just found this series, and although I'm in the "it's-too-early-to-analyze" camp, it still helps me learn how to spot moveset differences and what they could mean for the smush meta. Thank you for making these
This channel is nothing short of incredible in its dedication and immaculate detail on Smash Ultimate. Keep it up! Also, that Tekken 2 Paul music! Would be very interested to see a video on Kirby, Ness, Villager or Mega Man, considering they've been relatively ignored as far as characters in the demo are concerned.
I love these changes!!! It feels like he needs a lot less optimization from the player to be competitively viable now. Also, love the new star KO voice clip: "I never learned how to reeeeeeaaaad!"
For Dark Pit, it looks like he may be keeping his Final Smash from Smash 4. On the website in his character page, he is seen holding his staff, which was used for his Final Smash.
I would really like to see Sonic covered. And I appreciate how hard you work on these analysis videos. Your work really shows! Don't get discouraged by anyone and keep moving!
Look forward to these every time they’re posted. The work and info you provide is incredible and is straight to the point. I especially like how you explain why you think frame data buffs will help a move during the Lightning Round. Subbed.
PushBlock Gaming In my opinion, it’s fine either way. If the frame info comes first, we can look at the damage/change info with the frame changes already but it could also work the other way. Personally, I think it was executed well in this video!
E- tan He really isn't, he can still be rude, dumb and incredibly insensitive to others. No one in smash in genuinely nice with the sole exception of Lucas,Luigi,Rosalina and Villager.
Peterson Byrd You know you can still be polite while also having those traits. In fact luigi can be incredibly dumb. Its almost like characters are multi-layered.
I can see pit being high mid tier or low high. He has a much better neutral now. Much more reliable kill options, and a recovery buff. In the right hands this character is gonna be fun to watch. Hopefully Earth keeps using him.
Great stuff! you got strong content! I'm subbed! Keep it coming. Being a swordsman with less range than the others, I've always felt Pit was not quite right in the past. His buffs in this game making him faster makes me think it might be enough for me to like him more now. Plus his aerials looks like they'll make him the aerial swordsman I think he was meant to be. While I'm a Mario fan through and through, I'd recomend you have a crack at Sonic. What I saw of him reminded me of melee Falcon. He's so fast!
I watched your Ridley and Bowser breakdowns right before this and was thinking about subscribing, then you open this video with a Runescape reference. I've never clicked subscribe so quickly. Seriously though the amount of effort you put in these is palpable, from the stringent research and damage calculations to the tight script and clean editing, please do more! Especially Zelda, you can't analyse character changes and not do the WORST character from the last game that has had big changes and everyone is hoping will have a chance to shine in Ultimate!
Snizzbut the next character to be analyzed will be a fighter who was bottom 5 in smash 4 and with a design overhaul , people are expecting they will be a lot better.
"Speculation is abound about Smash Ultimate right now and I do not want to be responsible for spreading misinformation to excited players" FINALLY, SOMEONE WHO CARES!! QuQ
I've been thinking a lot and definitelly will try out Pit on this game for a couple of reasons As you said, Pit's multi hit moves are more consistent now and has much more kill power, specially aerials. Thats a HUGE benefit. On smash 4, Fsmash, jabs tend do whiff a lot which is terrible. The new game speed alongside his multi jumps benefits Pit a lot, more than most characters. First because that will allow him to combo easier on the air due to faster air speed he now has from full hop physics. Second because edgeguarding game will play a bigger role on this game in comparison to smash 4. You can only do 1 air dodge now while in the air. Imagine how threatening his faster arrows with lower endlag will be hitting characters over and over offstage. His multi jumps and multi hit moves will make him an offstage edgeguard monster now while protecting the ledge midair. And the huge buff to down b endlag will protect himself while returning offstage from threats like Link, Snake, Mewtwo shadow ball, Inklings or any projectile character in the game. It also will counter such characters the neutral game as well. And if someote try out to gimp him, his side will be there with super armor to win most of the trades. It's like all the new mechanics are fit to his moveset and data now, he can both gimp easily and protect himself while returning on stage with this incredible down b buff and side b. The only downside that i can see for him is that his natural moveset wont benefit from the new parry system. All multi hit moves on this game suffer an indirect nerf now because you can shield first and time to release it on the last hit granting a parry. People will have enough time to parry his side b as well on the ground. He also might suffer on neutral game against characters with bigger range and disjoints than him, Like Cloud or Ike for example. However offstage, he will definitelly take the upper hand almost pretty much everyone else that can't reflect/absorb or multi jump to fight back. Pit also wont suffer against characters with small hurtbox like Pichu or Olimar. If anything game breaking was discovered on this game, i strongly believe that Pit will be at least high tier now as he is, if not top tier. That being said, choosing Pit over Dark Pit will now be more relevant than smash 4, because Dark Pit's arrows has a pretty bad angle deviation, making it much less useful. However Dark Pit's side b is arguably better than Pit's because it kills sideways much earlier (unless if they nerfed it or buff Pit's side b instead) Assuming that, choosing Pit will be better when: Fighting characters without reflect, absorb, or cant deal against Pit's arrows more importantly offstage. Using Dark Pit over Pit will be better when: Fighting any stage with short horizontal blastzones like smashville. His eletroshock arm will be way more useful. The fact that this games picks the stage before the character It's simply perfect to consider which one to choose to exploit their maximum potential.
vyseskies you cant parry multi hit moves after you shield some attacks, because you are in a state of shield hitstun.Actually, its the oposite of what you said, even if you parry the first attack, the other attack will make hard for the opponent to gain anything from it. It's funny to think that what you said is the flipside opposite lol
Dark pit’s side b would have to be significantly stronger than pit’s side b if the differences between pit and dark pit will be the same. The only differences we could tell in dark pit’s trailer were side b and arrow, the main differences. We aren’t sure if f-tilt is still weaker and if it is then well, that may be worse or better. Jab locks are generally worse in this game so that won’t help, and we aren’t sure if tech chase situations with f-tilt will be good.
Great content, really appreciate the effort. I would like to hear something about Ike, with his new landing and sone changes here and there he seems way stronger than his previous iterations.
Honestly I am usually more of a casual Smash fan, I'm really enjoying these videos and understanding these characters in a more in-depth sense. My reaction time is too slow to be competitive at the game (I am much better at turn based strategy :P) but I have an appreciation for the subtle balancing that is required for such a large and varied cast in a fighting game, and the effort players put into understanding the characters move set so well.
I feel this will make him so much better, considering a slight buff was all he needed. Glad there's a video going in depth on this character, I was having a hard time finding one. I would also love to see more of Link.
I've been maining Kirby since melee and I'm already super hype about the buff to his inhale. Wouldn't mind seeing an episode about the super tuff pink puff!
Another very well thought out and well made video my guy, it's a noble goal. Thank you for taking the time to make them, good luck! By the way, ever consider a Patron later on?
Pit's buffs are great but the biggest buff he has are the changes to the mechanics themselves, he was probably the character hurt the least by the mechanics changes. For having multiple jumps mitigates only having one airdodge. Two Put was always a character that depended on rush down gameplay but struggled will the nuetral, now they ha can use his full arsenal out of dash his nuetral game is now way better which just makes him better overall, it also helps that defense options like dodging are now weaker. Finally, most of pits old combos seem to be in tact with the changes to his frame data and moves only opening up new options to him which can be used in tandem with the changes to dash (like down tilt and up tilt).
And if the new Meter Final Smashes get legalized for tournaments, His Lighting Chariot could pose a huge threat for those trying to recover at high percents.
Oh my god this is exactly what I’ve needed and wanted for so long. Became a Pit main later in the life of Sm4sh and knowing that he has good killpower now, better low percent combos and less lag is just great. No big changes to any moves just overall pleasant buffs all around. A whole Ten frames taken off of Nair and Uair for the landing lag might mean they can also drag opponents down for combos as well. As soon as I get my hands on him I’m taking it to the lab to find new combos and and maybe kill setups
I have the feeling that Pit will go much higher now. His main issue in Smash 4 is that he was average on everything yet it wasn't good on anything enough to be able to take advantage of anything, he had no specialisation or anything, what you got from the box was pretty much what you would have all the way until the end of the game. I don't remember if anything was ever discovered that was exclusive to this character and, because of it, there was no way to learn "new techniques". In a game that had characters that kept changing and getting better and better with new techniques, combos and confirms, Pit started as an average that never improved, sliding further and further down like a max leveled RPG character that just couldn't grow further. It sounds to me like he will be now speedier and more flexible, with attacks that confirm easier and recover faster, giving him the treatment of a speedy character. FINALLY he's special in some way.
Music will now be in the description of every episode.
PushBlock Gaming
Wow! Once again, astonishing work with this video! :D
I do want to point out one thing though; the costumes/alternate colors are NOT final! We know that for a fact, because Meta Ridley does not appear as an option for Ridley, despite being in his reveal trailer!
SwedenTheHedgehog We don't know that yet, maybe Ridley is one of those special cases where it has the double amount of skins
Your videos are so good! Can you do a Cloud analysis?
Please do a pac man analysis
thanks
The new white alternate is actually a new Echo Fighter, Brad Pit
Random Name more like chad pit
or super saiyan pit
Stop that
Random Name well done
Random Name now i have to reasons to like the old one better
I’m going to main Pit for his “I never learned how to reeeaaaaad” Star KO alone.
In all seriousness, I’m very happy with his changes and buffs, and I can’t wait to try him out in Ultimate!
CheeZy pit is such a fun character. Kid Icarus uprising is one of my favorite games on the 3ds.
Raging boy Pit is my favorite Nintendo protagonist
CheeZy mine has to be Ness or Lucas.
Ness and Lucas have nothing on Pit and DP.
CheeZy I literally thought that was a joke! I’m glad it’s a thing. Pit is an awesome character from his personality alone. 😂😂😂
I find it funny in Palutena's reveal trailer in smash 4, she tells pit "Anything an angel can do, a goddess can do better!", yet she's like two teirs below pit lol.
Gavin Adams I mean there's a reason he does all the work
Gavin Adams I mean, she has a better grab combo game, recovery special and reflector which are the only thing Pit and Palu really have to compare. I dunno 👀💧
Gavin Adams
Sakurai was probably thinking we'd all be playing with custom moves :P
Mish Koz nope
Gavin Adams Well hopefully she's a lot better in Ultimate
The speed boost on her tilts is already a improvement. And less landing lag will help a lot
Your videos are incredibly underrated, and deserve many more views, because the work you do here is impressive.
HERE'S ALL MY LOVE AND SUPPORT

“I never learned how to reeeeead” is probably the biggest buff to his move set
Edit: holy shit, I’ve never gotten so many likes before
But the removal of the purple scarf for his black skin is a pretty hard nerf.
Nico #1325 Blonde Pit makes up for that.
True 😂
Just realized blonde Pit looks like Cloud.
WE NEVER LEARN HOW TO READ!! LOL
YES! MY MAIN! Okay, that's it. I'm sold. He IS PERFECT.
Always
Dude you make an already hype game even more hype.
Just for the buffs and frame cuts analysis alone, I'm subbing to you. Finally I found a good smash bros channel.
As a Pit main this helps A TON. I honestly think the frame buffs from his aerials are game changing! Keep up the good work my man!
I've always loved Pit. can't wait to main him in Ultimate! I'm glad they're treating him well :')

I swear, that was just *begging* to be a meme.
AuraMasterUmi *FLOOR ICE CREAM GIVES YOU HEALTH*
He also never learned how to fly ask palutena she can confirm it
I NEVER LEARNED HOW TO WRRRRYYYYYYY
With all these buffs, we could say that SSBU Pit is the true Kid Icarus UPRISING.
Ahmed Falahy they actually make fun of thing like this in Palutena’s guidance
You don’t call Link: Zelda
You don’t call Fox McCloud: Star Fox
And you don’t call Pit: Icarus

The joke officially made it's course
Pit's improved aerials, damage output, and kill power already make him better to me. Hopefully his overall hitboxes are better and more consistent than his s4 self, but from what you've shown, I surely could main him again. I must thank you for doing this for bringing me new hope to my old main.
This is the only channel I watch for this kind of speculation, keep up the good work!
Respect for the color guard joke 2:36
The little runescape sounds in the intro were so satisfying
These Pit changes are exactly what he needed, in my eyes. He basically gets better air-to-ground transition on moves that work well for ground-to-air. He's basically the quintessential Smash Ultimate fighter now.

Pit’s up smash looks like it can hit grounded characters better but I can’t say for certain
Can confirm that people still pop out of Pit's FSmash for no good reason. Really frustrating. What's more, directional air dodging makes it easier to punish Pit on hit when you pop out of it.
This is a really good analysis! Thank you for making this, I'm totally going to stay tuned for more.

I literally LOVE this Easter egg! 🤣😂
2:04 best change right there imo tbqh
Justin Hurowitz this gets me every time 😂
Great video seeing pits changes is very exciting because I think it will help him alot
You sir, are doing an incredible job with these. So precise even with the little game play available
You need more subs these analysis videos are the best out there. Liked for OSRS bit at the beginning lol
As a Corrin main I would interesting in knowing how much Corrin has changed.
Very well made video. Not a lot of people are analyzing how existing characters have changed especially not to this level.

well if anything it gets people hype and also gives newer players an idea of how a certain character will play.
This is a super good and comprehensive video. Thank you so much for making this!

Love the Tekken 2 Paul theme. Also really like the way you lay out your information - very well made. Looking forward to more!
So excited to use my boi pit after the buff
Awesome work. I can't wait for when we get to see the other characters!
Thank you putting in all this hard work and not spreading false information
Also please do Inkling!
Look forward to these every time they’re posted. The work and info you provide is incredible and is straight to the point. I especially like how you explain why you think frame data buffs will help a move during the Lightning Round. Subbed.

Ok I like the i never learned how to read sound
My boi gets those speedy buffs! So happy to hear that he got some TLC from Sakurai and the team!
I'd love it if you covered Ness. Great job on the vids man. Thank you so much for your work.

I feel this will make him so much better, considering a slight buff was all he needed. Glad there's a video going in depth on this character, I was having a hard time finding one. I would also love to see more of Link.
Well done! Can't wait for you to get to Dedede and Mewtwo.
'I never learned how to read' is the best buff Pit got tbh (also can you do my boi Mega Man?'
I've been maining Kirby since melee and I'm already super hype about the buff to his inhale.
Wouldn't mind seeing an episode about the super tuff pink puff!
CHANGED PINK PIT'S WINGS??! Time to find a new color I guess
Awesome videos!
*I NEVER LEARNED HOW TO REEEEEAD*
Another very well thought out and well made video my guy, it's a noble goal. Thank you for taking the time to make them, good luck!
By the way, ever consider a Patron later on?
Team PSB I refuse to get a patron until I have at least 10K subs - WOOD
This video is good! New sub!
Lets get some more big bois in here and do Ganon next.
Yes, I know the first two videos were about heavy weights. I demand *more big bois.*
I never learned how to reaaaad
That’s hilarious
I loved the RuneScape reference in the beginning lol
These videos are awesome man! It’d be awesome if you could make videos on Cloud, Sheik and Captain Falcon when you get a chance!
Thanks for doing this on My Favorite video game Chacter

The question we should all be asking is
Does Dark Pit know how to read?
fantastic! i say not understanding the smallest bit of smash meta.
Great work! I'd love to see Ryu, but that's just me being selfish. Seriously, though, fantastic job, I'll watch every one of these you make.
Pokemon Trainer analysis would be sick
THAT RUNESCAPE REFERENCE ❤❤❤
I likke you WOOD
Link! Also great content! Immediate sub. How did I not find this channel sooner???
I thought it was a TierZoo video at first, good job man
I want to see Ryu next because he seems to be COMPLETELY different and honestly very scary.
but great work dude
