I agree it's bad for the sea life. But we are talking about less then 0.01% of the sea floor. If it's between the sea floor and the tropical rainforest I say save the rainforest.

We’re nearing the end of the end - Mining away our last reserves of resources. Almost no one is looking at it. Sad and bizarre.
