Great rig Al!!! A lot of thought and time has certainly gone into it. You thoroughly deserve it, so enjoy it and I cant wait to see all the big fish caught out of it :)
Love the boat Al. Northbank's are the biz. Big shout out back from Gero, cheers for the plug, should be here mate the weather's turned on🤟 Infact I think it was exactly a year ago you were here👍
I love my Northbank 600c, but this 650ht will be my next boat. It's the only hardtop I can stand under, being 6'5 isn't made for boats, but also why I went with Northbank, the high sides feel like your held in well. Super stable too, me and the boy are a tonne each, and can both be over the side without fear of falling out.
great vlog and really enjoyed watching it and just wish i could afford it but one day as we all need targets i actually looked at the 550c at melbourne marine looked great might more in my budget 650 when i retire one day, congratulations Al can not wait to see the new shows, i also love supporting australian design and built equipment
@@almcglashan Thanks for that Al since watching your video on your boat l had a look at there website got some nice boats.l haven't had much experience with lure fishing have u got any books that could help me many thanks
Loved the VID and authenticity of your content A&A. The doggie was a bonus and a star!! The boat was obviously something that’s been thoroughly thought thru. Can’t beat experience. Mistakes are a good teacher. I’ve always wanted a boat able to deliver a smooth ride and be directionally stable in the chop. I thought the 7m Yellowfin Southerner would be the trick except that I was not sure about a platey being able to give the ride like a Contender 25T could. Never really took notice of Northbank before but now!!! Hey...??? 🤔 Good work. Loved the casual spontaneous segment. Safe fishing & filming.
Good job Al, watching your vid is like watching one of my mates version, all the wind noise ... often digressing .. except they would have a beer not a coffee 👍 Keep saying it as it is And yes I have the 600R
The boat looks great, Al 😎👍 I used to wonder why you hadn’t gone with a hard top on your old boat 🤔 Now I know 🥴 And crikey 😳 I thought my 130 hours in 9 months was a lot of hours 😉 You REALLY do get out A LOT 😳😁
Al, can you please elaborate more on the Furuno sounder and in particular placement of the transducers. Are they through hull transducers? The sounding looked really good with minimal cavitation issues.
What type of transducers you are using (mounting type). I have a transom type and this yr we installed a set of trim taps and it's not working properly. I am assuming that the trim tabs are doing lot of bubbles. thanks and great video.
Boat looks great! - Thinking about getting one for myself. Just curious how you actually get on the boat when launching and whether you go through the hatch or walk around the fore-deck to get into the cabin. Noticed some fancy alloy work on the trailer is that what you use? Looking at the best option for solo launches.
Ya need to get out more mate, broaden your horizons “Smell that: 2-Stroke”, it’s a well know quote from the Aussie movie, The Castle 😀 You’re correct - four strokes are the way to go 👍🏻
It's the internet so I can say this , probably not a good idea to shit on past boats and products particularity on camera . Just my two bob but that sort of thing may make future supporters a bit gun shy. Love the boat it's a beast.

Been waiting for this one Al 👌 👌 👌
Love al and all his amazing content he creates.
Cheers mate
Very enjoyable video. Feels like we are just fishing with a friend shooting the S about boats ... and a variety of sidebar topics :)
Just trying to make it real and honest

@@almcglashan I do have one question on the new boat Al, and that is did you contemplate an electric motor for spot “anchoring” ?
@@waynemarr7569 havent really thought about it to be honest!
Thanks heaps mate. Bloody hell you can talk but I could listen all day. Haaa.
Dont worry Troy a few people have tod me to shut up over the the years unsuccessfully 😂

yeah mate all through hull best way to get the best picture from my experience
@@almcglashan yep , at speed it's seems to be the only way but sidescan doesn't work for me.
Great looking boat for sure . But how come no bait boards or bait prep area ? Im sure you have a spot or do you prep sword baits at home first?
always prep my baits before i hit the water these days
If ever your in Coffs I wanna shake your hand. The man with the knowledge n seem a humble bloke. Jealous of what you’ve created for yourself
cheers mate
Al, do Northbank use timber is the construction of their boats.?
that's really great boat!!! do you have an insurance?? how much do you pay for this particular boat??
Great Boat Al ,have you ever thought about having a Plate Boat or is it only glass for you ?
had a few plate boats but the ride is too hard or is it that I am getting old and soft

I run four through hull transducers the trim tabs are behind so they have no affect on them unless reversing up on a marlin

rarely launch alone but if I do I just wade down and hop in through the side door
Hey Al. What was the reasoning behind not being able to have a 300? Would have thought it could handle it no worries.
no rated for it sadly
Congratulations Al she's a beauty and mate you're not fooling anyone its obvious you love that stupid dog. :)
Does it come with an underfloor kill tank, self draining or is there a pump system?
There is a small kill tank but I use the YETI’s. Boat is too small for effective self draining otherwise the deck would have to be too high
Al, why didn't opt for twins on the back ?
Thought about it but decided on a single becuase the fuel tank is only 300l
Have you plugged your weights into a towing calculator?
Great boat. If only you put us much time and thought into your vid as they did the boat.
yeah it was spontaneous so the audio is average but we are going to do an updated version
Do a vid when u try catch flathead
There’s a couple on my TH-cam but could be time to do anothet
