My dog current dog is only four and he's a small breed so he's still got a life long ahead of him, I hope. But I literally love him more than I've ever loved anything or anyone. I don't think I'll be able to go on after he's gone.

Forget the professional athletes, the actors, the musicians, etc. These guys are ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Even ordinary people who would run into a burning building to save a stranger qualify.
