I agree. I have to learn this every two years because I work for the government. Normal CPR works in about 10% of cases, these machines bring up survival rates to about 80%. It’s a huge difference, it’s a shame there can’t be one in every home.
You can't really learn CPR from a show, you need to practise when you'll be using it in life or death situations. They taught us in scouts and at university i joined a first aid society for a refresher and they also taught how to use those defibrillators
Whilst I felt the 'fight' was ridiculous, I think it was brilliant of Emmerdale to show the heart attack and the way to deal with such a thing when it happens
Powerful stuff. For such a thing that happens unfortunately very frequently in cardiac arrests it’s great Emmerdale did this full scene not just cut to the hospital actually showing what happens and might sound dramatic but I’m sure this scene will actually save lives. Jacob said Liam saved his life and yes he did but Jacob also did his part so a joint effort.
Soaps don't normally get heart attack stories bang on but this one was pretty convincing. You know how on programmes they show this sort of health issue in an over the top way, we'll I've seen this happen very close to home and the symptoms are very different to what they show on TV. I think it's about time soaps show a more accurate portrayel of a heart attack. There's a build up usually before it happens, squeezing of the chest, cold sweat, pain that radiates from your neck to your arms.
I might be wrong but isn't CPR supposed to be a hell of a lot faster? Like twice as fast as the doc was doing? Done to the beat of a song like Staying Alive or Another One Bites The Dust (if you don't like the guy?)

So, Bon isn't the only one who didn't learn anything what happened when Dan punched creepy Lloyd. Liam didn't learn anything neither. 🤦🏽♀ Thank good Victoria said about it, if only to Bob. And there went Eric's vegetables. They can't really sell them anymore, so Bob should compensate for them. I liked how they darkened the scene when Bob got his heart attack, and that peeping. Well of course Liam's the one who helped Bob. Well okay, Wendy was in shock and Liam's a doctor. And Jake was helping too. It's been busy time with Jake, first with Lloyd and now with Bob. Who will be the next one? They did very good job with this scene (not counting their fighting).
If Cain had seen Liam and bob get into their boxing stances, he would immediately accept he’s no match for either of these warriors and leave the village
This was well depicted, but would have been taken much more seriously if it wasn’t for the comical ‘fight’ just seconds before that could have ruined this scene, and very nearly did. Still well done when it hit though
This scenes the worst got someone small not a big man I mean like Jacob holding Bob back from doing something more to loan and on the other hand Liam talking about how He would have to defend himself 2 things 1 I’d be surprised if Liam defended himself because I’ve honestly never ever actually seen Liam defend himself from Bob and 2 it wouldn’t be surprising if he didn’t but yeah

This scene needs to be shown in schools, colleges and work places so people know what to do.

Good for the viewers to see the whole resuscitation process in soaps as you never know it might just come in handy in future.
