Amanda's such a doll. That was fun. I appreciate the not-great trips too. Helps us enthusiasts realize we're in good company when we don't get an awesome shot every time.
I appreciate Nigel and Thomas and Nick and yes even Mr. Hardcastle, but you're the photographer I look up to the most. Calendar, aspen photo magazine, and Quiet Life 3 ordered.
Lets not forget that even though some of us get to travel to BC we don't get to see some of the great locations you hike to looking for that special picture. Give us a 360 twirl with the camera a little more often and show off more of that unbelievable landscape. Thanks for taking us along.
Nice little video. I like to see these low-key videos from time to time, proving that it's not always wall-to-wall epicness. Also I especially liked the way you showed the before and after images on the exposure blend :)
I think for me any time in the woods hiking and exploring is truly golden. At least Gavin left that half witted evil twin of his at home. Like your log shot better though. Love this video!
Will barbershops be opening in Canada any time soon? Not that you need a trim, but when the video started I thought I was watching a talking mountain goat. Good to see you in the mountains again.
Been wondering about that myself … Amazon has great selection of clippers (just saying 🙊) … really enjoy your videos, greetings from Salt Spring Island, B.C.
Love the way you showed the bracketed images and then the blend from raw to final Adam! It's nice to see where the image starts. Fantastic video as always 👍🏼
Love the back country stuff. My wife and I just got back from 5 days 4 nights in the Olympics. Only 2 really good days for photography, but so worth it.
Very nice to see you both back together again, the Laurel and Hardy of the photography world, you complement each other so well. That log was a great find and you made an excellent image from it.
Love the honest commentary, sometimes it's hard to get out, especially after 2 one hour hikes in. I can so relate. Glad to see you're back out. Just purchased your calendar, can't wait.
LOVE YOU GUYS stuck in melbourne australia and have just found out its another three weeks of lockdown so your adventures remind me that there is a world out there and at some point i will be able to go out with my camera
I honestly Love your Videos. You, Gavin, Nick, Thomas and The Guy with the Sniffles lol Make my day .. Keep up the good work and keep them videos coming please ..
Wow14 kilometres…just got back from Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, walked the Beaver Pond trial - like 2 kms and thought “wow that’s far”🤣. Love your content as per usual. Always a good time when his lordship makes an appearance 👍🏻
Really enjoy your videos Adam. Thank for again, another interesting, informative and humorous story. Shame about not getting the pic but haven't we all been there! Glad you're out and about but did any of you photograph the waterfall?
AWESOME! You and his lordship together again... have everything to be another epic video. Going to save it and watch it after dinner, sit on my sofa drinking a nice Moscatel wine, the real real one, from Portugal, from Setubal region ;)
Some excellent ventriloquist skills at 5 mins :-) that log was absolutely gorgeous !! I’m sure we will see exactly what it looked like up there is that glorious atmosphere :-)
A handy hint for your water straw: go to a pet store and buy a foldable water bowl that they make for traveling with your pet! They fold up very nicely and can be stowed about anywhere. Use it to scoop up the water, thus enabling you to drink your water from a more convenient position. It makes life a lot easier, and you’re less likely to get the hiccups!
As a (very happy) XT owner it’s nice to see you use the APS-C camera again, and which shows what wonderful images they too can produce. My absolutely mint and very low shutter count XT2 and XH-1 cost less than £1000 combined. Rather a saving on most commonly seen cameras!
My favorite Fuji camera is by FAR the X-H1! The Regis, the level of the features and capabilities (remember that this is previous gen. technology for AF and such!). The ergonomics are fantastic. Second place is, for reasons of pure image output, the GFX (50R). The GFX are simply beastly cameras.
For a moment I read that as ‘Black Country’. Cus hey, there are loads of nice trees in Dudley and Wolverhampton to shoot, set against the permanently grey skied brutalist backdrop.
Once again you have proved that the best camera is the one you have - whether its cropped sensor or medium format, the outcome you deliver is outstanding! BTW - would it be possible to add locations to your videos' description ? it would be very helpful. thx!
Hi Adam; Can you tell me what kind of wellies you use? My husband wants a pair and when I asked what kind he said "The ones Adam Gibbs wears!" which is of course super helpful.
You shouldn't be playing with that Gavin: he's a bad influence. Lovely vid, as usual. Many thanks. When the music came in I got a distinct whiff of the 1970s movie "Get Carter". The opening credits while Michael Caine is on the train to Newcastle. Anyway, thanks again.
Great video, images and fun! Have you changed your video camera, or its lens, because the image quality was superb? It always is of course, but it just seemed even more crisp and clear.
Great video and it's interesting you did not take many shots. Do you do anything with your batteries when you get home? Discharge them? I charged up both my batteries for a weekend away but I ended up only partly using one. I will not be out again for a week or so and often worry about the impact on the batteries life by storing them fully charged. Have you noticed any adverse effect storing them charged up?
Would’ve used my 4-stop Kase square reverse nd grad filter on that log-water-mountain-sky shot. 4 stops should solve most of the sky issues, and I absolutely love getting everything straight out of camera ;)
Just what i needed to cheer me up Adam, a pair of clowns up a big hill. Thanks for the laugh. Did Gavin work in a pub as i'm sure i heard you call him a bar steward.
Obvious question - why didn't you set up camp further up, closer to the lake? good use of exposure stacking. I prefer the grad filters, although they are a bit of a faff to carry and setup. Great pic though, would have been cracking if the light had helped. Looking forward to more :-)
I didn't see much wrong with your first shot of the twisted log and the illuminated cloud over the peaks. I liked it. Don't worry about Gavin's knock-off, it's going to pale by comparison.
I think the image could have used a bit of polarization... I know, pol-filters are a touchy subject right now in landscape photography, but perhaps it could have brought down the sky a bit whilst also reducing the reflection in the water, allowing the image to be more focussed on the curve... But that's just me, the image is great anyway!!
That photo that you did show, you identified, first off anyway, as blended raw (I think). Does that mean you did an hdr merge if Lightroom to keep it RAW, or something else? Just idle curiosity, nothing too important.
6:01, if i were to take that shot here anywhere in Georgia (USA), I'd have to fish the beer cans and condoms out of the water first left by the locals. Nice work gents.
Amanda's such a doll. That was fun. I appreciate the not-great trips too. Helps us enthusiasts realize we're in good company when we don't get an awesome shot every time.
Fun times. I do love a twisty log though.
If you have that problem, I'd go and see a doctor if I was you 🤣
That's what she said... 😂

Totally worth watching till the very end!!! 🤣
Proper job mate, love that image with the log👍🏻
That log was as sent from the foreground Gods! It even bent a little bit up so that it pointed directly on the peaks, great video as always.
Your friendship always makes great content, even on a very cloudy day 😁

yeah not terribly good at the B roll thing. note to self must work harder
You two make a great pair...Laurel and Hardy of the Tube!!!!
That swirly log made for a stunning image
Nice little video. I like to see these low-key videos from time to time, proving that it's not always wall-to-wall epicness. Also I especially liked the way you showed the before and after images on the exposure blend :)
You and Gavin together are TH-cam gold! Great to see you getting out.

I did enjoy this. Anytime you and Gavin get together it's always good.

That's a lovely spot when you get the weather...been decades since I've been there, must do again soon!
a lot busier i bet
@@QuietLightPhoto indeed!...back in the day, we could camp right at Landslide Lake and not see another soul...sigh.

I like when you too have some funny moments in your videos😊
Always makes me chuckle. Great dynamic between Yourself and Gavin.
I recognize the area....Landslide Lake & Mt. Colonel Foster.....I've been there quite a few times. It's a beautiful area.
I appreciate seeing the process/development of the first photo... looks like a busy camp space...
Your looking more and more like ‘the doc’ from back to the future with every video😂😎 what an epic place!! Big thumbs up mate
Nice to see you out and about. Your log photo turned out quite good I think.
That first image was outstanding. Mental note - bring patch kit along 😄.

“Didn’t get a photo”? That image of the swirly log is gorgeous - subtle, subdued, classy. 👍🦘🇦🇺

PS, what was the hardest part about showing Gavin how to take off his lens cover?
I love these videos, Adam!
Excellent video - I enjoyed it immensely.
Great stuff! I’d be very happy with that log shot.
That gravel bar campsite and the hike from the campsite looks so familiar. (Landslide)?? I was up at Lady Falls and Myra
