Eachine did it again
Have you guys seen, it looks like a Mini Warbird Zero is finally coming? I found a shop here in UK advertising one of these under the Volantex brand, expected mid to late September 2022. See if you can get one through your contacts for review. Started out with a 2nd hand Eachine Mustang off Ebay, after watching your vid's, now have the Mustang, Cub, Corsair, Spit & BF109. Love these little planes and your channel.
I know exactly where the prop is!!!! You can see it hit the ground! I watched the video a few times at 1/4 speed and on you downward dive at 8:36 just before you try to climb the prop falls right to the ground. You can see the clump of grass that it’s in.
I had lost my t28 trojan 1.1m in the bright yellow. had spent over 45mins looking for it. It tore me up leaving the field knowing that it was out there somewhere.

Yes; I painted yellow on the tips of my Eachine T-28 prop for those lost in tall grass moments.
I just had my P51 400mm last week and I am enjoying it. I am new to this hobby. I tried to fly in expert mode and same story as yours, it's very hard... it really does mean it "expert" I also lost one of my prop already must be still hanging on the tree it crashed on. Learned a big lesson not to fly with trees around. Thanks guys for your videos I'm really loving them.
I loved my P-51 when it worked, broke a couple days ago. I think it's just a fluke and doesn't reflect the whole brand.
@@Razor-gx2dq I can't count how many times I crashed, I am surprised that mine still flies even my rotor is slightly bent now and I have to apply the supplied stickers to use as bandage on front nose because the seams are cracked already.

I'm surprised you skip over Intermediate mode. It's the best!
Based on my P51 and T28, in Novice mode the angle of bank is so limited that turns are large and the model gets further away than one wants. On a field with trees, you have to plan ahead to keep away from the trees because of that large turning radius.
None of that is a problem in Intermediate mode. Angle of bank is less limited, so turning radius is smaller, but the angle is enough that applying up elevator tightens up the turn even more.
Also, whilst you can't roll in Intermediate mode, you can do loops without using the aerobatic button.
You are really missing out by skipping over the BEST Eachine mode! 🙂
You are definitely right. I had the sport cub and it was a lot of fun. I may end up getting myself one of these. I love P40s and it wouldn't be hard to paint it in RAAF colours. Now all we need is a Zero.
Agree totally, flies great in intermediate mode. Like you said it does loops and tight turns. P51 for the win!!
@@lukew8034 I flew a friend's P40 today. It is not just a "different looking" P51 or T28. The wing appears to have less camber and it was prone to tip stalls with the throttle off. It is arguably more "normal" than the P51 and T28 - just not the complete pussycat that those two were.
@@RichardTapp1 Yes, I love how eachine actually put some effort in and make each plane different, not just repainted versions of the same thing. I hope they release another p40 in a different paint scheme, the US army would be good, that way I could change it to the Aussie airforce scheme with just a few stickers.
The Curtis P-40s with the markings on that model was flown by the Republic of China (now Taiwan) Air Force by American pilots. It was formed before the US was attacked at Pearl Harbor as the First American Volunteer Group (AVG), nicknamed "The Flying Tigers". One hundred American fighter pilots volunteered to help China fight against the Japanese invasion using the P-40. Although planned before, the AVG didn't see combat until 12 days after Pearl Harbor. Their combat record was impressive. They destroyed 296 enemy aircraft while losing only 14 pilots in combat. It gave the US a needed morale boost after the horrible events of Pearl Harbor. On July 4th, 1942 the AVG was disbanded and replaced by the 23rd Fighter Group of the United States Army Air Forces. One of the pilots, Gregory "Pappy" Boyington, went on to command the Black Sheep Squadron flying Vought F4U-1A Corsair, which the TV show "Ba Ba Black Sheep" (later renamed "Black Sheep Squadron") was based upon. Well worth looking for that TV series if you are in to aviation.

@@PeasantNo.471 According to WIkipedia, he shot down two Japanese planes, and destroyed 1.5 on the ground...But there was some funny business about the numbers, especially since the commander of the AVG didn't like him. And it was a big part of the reason he broke his contract with the AVG to return to the States and where accept a commission as Major, returning the Marine Corps.
Another site has this to say:
"To the end of his life, Boyington insisted that as a Flying Tiger he had destroyed 6 Japanese planes, which together with his Marine Corps victory claims would have made him the leading USMC ace of World War II. The AVG record, for its part, shows Boyington with 3.5 "bonus credits," of which only two were air-to-air kills."

Nate .. I have the p 51 & corsair .. u really sld fly in intermediate .. can do loops ... tail stalls .. hammerhead.. can even do a snap .. play around in intermediate .. try sum things .. it's way more fun in intermediate ! .. love the channel !

pretty sure the gyro is prohibiting your loop. the plane looks like it has plenty elevator authority when your about to hit the ground and you definitely had enough speed to pull a loop
Yes. Novice mode prevents looping. If Nate instead flew in the much better "Intermediate" mode, loops are possible, although the aileron gyro tries to screw the model out of the loop. Better to just push the Aerobatic button or fly without the gyro - after retrimming. My P51 and T28 both need the elevator retrimmed to fly without the gyro.
I love my little mustang. It's pretty darn famous at my RC club! Flies a looong time is never damaged in crashes or landings and flies just as good in wind as it does on a calm day. These little eachine warbirds are amazing! Still waiting on my spitfire. Also, I thought one of th in the series does not fly as well as the others but I don't remember which.
Go out at night with a flashlight and you'll find the prop. I've found some 1/2" drone props this way.
Night time does make it easy to find, they shine with a flashlight.
You guy's have great content, I got one of the Eachine T-28 Trojan's on the way. I've Never flown a plane. I figured this Trojan would be a good one to try.

Bought one from your recommendation and it was well worth it. As a beginner, make sure you read the instructions. I accidentally started off in Expert Mode and it turned out disastrous. Made some crash repairs and then nervously started in Beginner Mode. It flies great in Beginner and Intermediate Mode. I even did many successful loops and used up about 4 batteries. Batteries are a pain to replace, the prop is hard to find sometimes after a crash, and it's small size makes it hard to fly with distance. All in all though, it's a really good beginner plane.

Not finding the prop would bother me some but forgetting to bring the spare props or extra batteries would bother me more.
Had the extra batteries! And yeah we do forget things sometimes. Sometimes it’s enough to turn around and go home to get it before we can even record or fly! It would be cool if I never forgot anything, but I’m sure that will never be the case for me 😂😂🤷♂️⚓️
Im convinced that the stabilization technology ISNT the most impressive, advanced tech on the entire eachine micro warbird fleet, but the propellers that WINK OUT OF EXISTSNCE! I had one vanish from INSIDE THE BOX between my house and the field! I do believe I saw it again when later it appeared on footage from the mars rover. It might have been a rock or a shadow, but it sure looked like my propeller to me. I think that's where ALL the disappearing propellers from eachine rematerialize back into existence. Perhaps in our lifetime, weekend cruises to the red planet will become possible. We shall need special permission from the US state department & Bejing to visit the chinese claimed portion of Mars, & by then, there will be MOUNTAINS of eachine propellors but I recon they're more or less cross compatible between eachine models. Propeller mountain will be 6 km east of single-sock-vanished- from-the-dryer ridge.

Preach Saylors, yesss! In my opinion these Eachine Warbirds are hands down the best looking, best flying, most durable, best priced RTF 400mm planes ever made. I have several of them and fly them constantly, and the flight times are amazing with these too. One of the best and most forgiving first time flyer planes you can get, but still so much fun to fly at any skill level. I enjoy flying them on intermediate the most because you still have the gyro with much better maneuverability.
Which is better the p51 or the p40? Thanks!
I have the P-40 and absolutely love it. First time ever flying a place in my life and it survived all of me and my 6 year olds crashes. So true that it’s very forgiving !

Interesting! Too bad HK crashed as a company as hard as they did a few years ago. We’ve heard they are trying hard to make a comeback, but are still light years away from being “good”. We used to LOVE HK 👍⚓️

The Prop comes off at 8:36 if you pause at the right time you can see it separate. I comes off at the bottom of the dive, just before the crash

Fun for the family
I’ve had the Horizon Hobby version of this for years, it looks like an exact copy, wouldn’t be surprised if it came out the same factory. They are nice models but they don’t last for the money, if its a single cell system with a brushed motor, the motors burn out after about fifty to hundred flights, for the cost of spares it’s cheaper to buy a whole other plane which is dumb
My guess, about the lost prop, is that it snapped of @ 8.33 minutes, just after "I´m throtteling up" I hear a snapping sound there, and the P-40 starts to crash, no more power and before that I could see the prop on the plane in the video!

I knew exactly where you were going Abby when you corrected Nate about the ’safe’, I started laughing. One word of advice.... STOP LOOKING FOR IT! Next time you're out there flying something else, you're probably going to spot it. That is one familiar looking nose paintings on that type of plane.
I have this one and it takes a beating! What a great plane! Back into planes simce a long break....last one was a gas trainer in the early 2000s!. I just ordered the P-51 to have a silver one to have a backup that is silver and easier to see against the treelines.
I have used 2 and 3 blade props, and i got the amazon 400mah battery 5-pack and they are great! I use my traxxas smart lipo charger and a banana clip molex adapter @.8a and takes about 45min. They are AMAZING. after a ton of wrecks i had to get a spare prop adapter. They fly SO awesome!!! I love forcing snap rolls and loops and stalls on medium safe. Its amazing. Perfection!!!!! Also guys, BIG fan of the channel, i just go watch your reviews because they are happy times lol

i can understand the issue with loosing something , ill get the torch/flashlight and go into the front yard and look for a body clip off my r/c car even though i have many its not the point its the annoyance and 9/10 ill find it but when i don't i get real %$#%# MAD lol , cheers guys and Gals great little plane and its now got me stuffed why it goes crazy when you take off the safe possibly way out of trim when off as the gyro seems to work fine otherwise it wouldn't be as stable and clean flying :-0
I ALWAYS bring my stash of props and extra batteries... for exactly that reason. I've lost one and one broke after 1000 crash landings and popping off. I ordered more so now I still have 5.
I recently bought a rage rc bf109, same thing as the emachines and everything else, and I loved flying it for the first time, I just need to get better at flying it also, I’ve been looking for a nice Cessna/cub of some kind to learn on as well without breaking the bank

I just found this channel the other day. I am returning to RC after almost 10 years. I was watching some of your older videos and thought i recognized the field. Do you still fly in Cannonsburg?
Great job on the content! Its very entertaining and informative.
You can use a spektrum satellite on the flight controller for this airplane!!! The P40 use a unique flight controller compared to all the other 400mm warbirds (I've owned them all) it uses a different radio protocol and has 2 ports on the brick one for S-BUS and one for DSMX. The flight controller in my coursair recently $hit the bed so i decided to pull the brick out of the P40 and replace it the bad one with it and noticed this. I cant find this mentioned any place so i thought I'd spread the word. Much more enjoyable flying these little guys with my dx7s snd dx6i.

@@ghoward6797 That's interesting. Think there was a version of Spitfire on twin floats. Could be another candidate for you. Personally I prefer to fly my 400mm warbirds clean though. Put Eflite UMX floats on the 500mm wingspan Eachine/Volantex Cub but it handles like a barge. definitely no good in windy conditions. Just gets carried away. Happy landings.😉
Great looking plane! I had ordered mine but unfortunately arrived faulty, flies nose high and when commanding it to turn then it just goes crazy and it creates a mind of its own and crash!
Wild! Sounds like you are flying it out of stability mode, which is sort of “normal” for that characteristic sadly.
@@TheRcSaylors expert mode crashes straight away towards the left, beginner and mid flies high straight but as soon as I turn, it just crashes 😪 very strange as I've flown alot of these mini warbirds but this is one baffles me.

Awesome warbird I have different versions of these bye Volantex Eachine and Top Race after losing a few propellers I found a simple easy fix for this problem I use florescent duct tape they have many colors easily spot your props fast I cover the back and stripe the front works perfectly. Thanks for the video I really like the look of this warbird you two do a awesome job of demonstrating these planes.

I have the eachine p51 and spitfire. To me the spitfire seems to fly faster and better. How does the p40 compare?
Very nice bird but I wish they would make a more proper sized 3 bladed prop for them. That prop looks way over sized for the plane.
My worst was I lost a plane in the trees on a maiden, spent a hour looking and went back the next day for another 2 hours... Never found it
I think the lil bird took off with your prop around 8:38 😆 you flew in his airspace.... I think it popped off at the bottom of the dive and the plane kept it moving some..... So id say 20 to 30 feet back from the landing spot. Hope you find it...
You are right that it comes off at the bottom of the dive. If you look a my comment, where I mentioned to freeze the video at8:36-8:37 you can actually see the prop clear as day headed strait to the ground and hit the grass!!

Is there a way to send a screen shot I labeled with arrows? Well it’s your video. You can go back and look it. There is a yellow marker with a black top on the right side of the screen by the edge of the grass. The prop lands about 4-5 ft to the left of it. You can see the prop in the air clear as day in the air. You have to go back to the air field. It would be awesome for you to find it.
Time stamp 8:36-8:37!! I guess they are actually blue tops on the yellow runway markers? Your plane landed a good 20 further down the grass than the prop.

i have their p51 however its almost impossible to fly without the stablization. They fly well otherwise
Did you try setting up all the linkages? Checking the zero position of all the ailerons? Since I did that it’s flying way better!! But I’m flying it with a TX16S…😎😎😎
prop is after the second crack (expansion joint) by the 1st clump of grass, about 15 ft from the edge
Is there anyway to bind these to a more “traditional” type radio, or even the radio master multi-protocol? Looks like a neat plane lineup, but hate having a million controllers that I have to keep sorted

Banggood is no good , my order for a p40 never got procced , and there was an attempt to use of my card unauthorized according to my bank the card was cancelled because of suspicious activity
I had an old guy a few years ago taught me a trick to paint your props yellow, easier to find that way.
As this Eachine warbird comes with a two-bladed prop again and there also are Eachine warbirds with 3-blade-props i wonder if it makes any difference which ones you use on them (if they are interchangeable at all) 🤔
