My 20 month old son has brain cancer and your music instantly calms him when he’s overwhelmed and distraught. I have already bought one album and I am sure I will be buying more in the next 8 months!
Sorry to hear about your son's cancer. I shared this comment with my wife and our hearts go out to you. We will pray for his healing and recovery. May God bless you and help you get through this difficult season.
Have been listening to Josh for 2 months now.....a lot of Christians have musical skills....but the thing I look for is the Presence of the Lord's touch in the music....like when David played strings at God's command to Saul....that strong Presence silenced Saul's demons and brought His touch....you have that, Josh. Holy healing comes through your playing. Blessings Josh!
"but the thing I look for is the Presence of the Lord's touch in the music." Yes. And it is there! Praise to our Lord. I have always noticed and been steruck by this. Beautifully said.
I am always looking for soft, smooth background music to play in my home. It is Sabbath morning right now, and this music is perfect for promoting peace and calm in my home. It is beautiful. Thank you, Mr. Snodgrass.
We listen to your guitar playing every morning to set the mood in our home for the day. I love it when I hear an old camp song from when I was a teenager at church camp... it takes me back, and this is the only place I've found that (without looking 😉). Thank you for these beautiful reminders of being a young Christian back when life was more simple. ❤️
I've been listening to your music for maybe 3 years now. It gives me peace and joy. God's peace just fills my heart. Your music was with me and my husband when he was sick until the time that he passed last January. 💔 I am now living by myself and trying every single day to continue living. To distract me from thinking and hurting and crying I decided to review and study for the Bar exams. Listening to your music calms me and help me to stay up. I'm planning to take the Bar exams this Feb 2025. I need prayers. I didn't even tell my family and friends that I'm planning to take the Bar exams. I pray that God will continue use your music to bless your listeners.
Hi Rosa, Thanks for commenting and for listening to my music these last 3 years! I appreciate it. I will pray right now that the Lord will help you pass the Bar exams.
@@JoshSnodgrassDear Josh, you just don't know how much of a blessing you are to me. Your music has been my companion everytime I study for the Bar exams. At times I feel so broken and in tears that I can't hardly see what I'm reading. But everytime, your music calms me and help me to feel strongly the presence of the Holy Spirit. You anointed music and the Holy Spirit has been with me in my journey. Knowing that you prayed for me just brought tears to my eyes, I know that God will listen to your prayers. Please continue to inspire with your music. God bless you and your family always.

I am a great fan of classical guitar. It really fits the intimate and meditative character of your worship music. God Bless You for your work for the Kingdom.
Hi Pastor Chuck, I hope you're doing well. I don't get a lot of comments from people that I knew before my channel grew so much. Good to hear from you! I find the classical guitar has a lot more little "squeaky noises" to try and avoid that a steel string guitar but it does have less of a sharp tone which can be good or bad I guess. I find that I need to pick really softly on an acoustic to get songs to have that worshipful sound but on the classical, I can't do that (at least not throughout the song) because then the recording just sounds kind of dull.
It's Beautiful ❤️ I love the classic sounds so comforting. Josh I praise God for you. My husband use to play, we've been married 45 years. He says he's Too busy. I use your music to relax and often sleep with it playing. You & your Family are in my prayers. I can't thank you enough. ❤
such beautiful guitar rendition of these hymns....Thank u for sharing your versions that calm the soul just listening to you play....and brings us back to worship the Almighty Loving God....
So beautiful and clear, with each note distinct. Lovely resonance. Thank you so much, Josh, for yet another amazing blessing of a video - this time using a classical guitar. I love it.
I also play classical guitar, so I am a little biased. It has a clean unadorned quality that is distinctly different from an acoustic. I look forward to playing along and trying to learn the arrangements.
Josh, this work is some of the best sense I started listening in 2020. I can hear a major difference. Classical guitar suits you. You and your family Be blessed and Safe.
Yeah, AI generated music is pretty bad. It's sad that seems to be where music is headed. I'm going to keep recording a real guitar with microphones. It's not easy but I feel like it has more emotion than the AI generated stuff.

Hello Josh, thank you for this, it is very nice.. I am curious, did you play this with or without nails? …I like steel string and nylon string, i think they both have their pros and cons.. for a long time I was discouraged because I thought you couldn’t get a proper sound out of a nylon string guitar without having nails.. However I have been finding out that historically no nail classical players have always existed and it is somewhat experiencing a revival in our current time.
Hi, that's a great question. I think that part of the decision on whether to use nails has to do with the shape of the guitarist's fingertips. I've seen some guitarists who have more of an edge to their fingertips and they don't need to use nails. My fingertips are very rounded, and I just can't get a crisp sound without nails. That being said, I try to keep them on the shorter side so that I still get the "feedback" from my fingertips touching the string (as opposed to having longer nails, not letting the string touch the flesh of your fingertip and just picking with the nail). You might check out some of Adam Rafferty's videos on the topic. He plays without nails. He primarily plays acoustic but he does some good classical work as well. He has some videos where he talks about his struggle with this topic and how he came up with his current approach. I hope that helps!
Suggestion: I play finger style and also do strum with my thumb for some songs. I never use a pick. The strings on my two Martin guitars are designed for fingerpicking, as they are light Martin silk and steel. I used to fingerpick years ago on standard steel strings which tore up my fingers and nails, too much weight and all metal. Once I went to silk and steel, everything changed for the better. Give it a try if you haven’t already. One reason I can’t play classical guitars is because these guitars are wider, and my frets are narrower on the Martins. My finger reach is comfortable on the Martin, and I have tried other guitars, but didn’t like the “feel”. Only Martins are my preference. Everybody has to find for themselves what works. God bless. Best to you.
@@johnj.flanagan-hymnsoffaith Thank you John, yes I actually have tried the silk and steel strings and I did like the tone of them a lot, and they were also way easier to play.. but I still do prefer the tone of nylon strings for fingerpicking even over the silk and steel. It varies, some styles/techniques sound better to me on different types of strings. My personal taste is that I like nylon or the silk and steel for fingerpicking picking and regular steel strings for strumming. I appreciate your input! Thank you
