New scyther is really good but he was already good scizor was pretty bad but is now also very good. You know how we all have that one Pokémon we can’t play? For Chris apparently that’s scyther lmao(he’ll pop off get a penta and be like eeeeeehhhhh scyther mid)
This definitely reminds me of when Scizor was buffed the first time after release since he was so bad. I was playing Scizor every time during that period and its always Bullet Punch/Swords Dance and I had fun. I stopped playing Swords Dance after it was nerfed and used Double Hit on Scizor. But now, Swords Dance is buffed to 20% Atk instead of 12% Atk. That increase is way too good to pass up and I was doing well even against ranged mons and even tanked and 4v1ed the entire enemy team. Definitely nostalgic and I am having fun with Scizor again and in a right way since I prefer Swords Dance over Double Hit on Scizor specifically.
Same I stopped playing Scizor after the nerf to swords dance since I really don’t like double hit but I’ve been having a ton of fun with him after the buffs he feels solid again!

It's still probably better to go for Double Hit if there are a lot of attackers like Gren or Decidueye, but Swords Dance is definitely the default second move going forward.

Good mobility, good sustain, good damage. Scizor just needs the occasional good healing support for group fighting and a way to deal with all the cc in unite and he’s golden.
I like to use cookie with scizor, you’re literally even more unkillable. I’ve used it with great success from before the nerfs, so I can only imagine it now
for a mon that already has a lot of hp, focus band or the new resonant guard item can be much better and more consistent, i recommend the second a lot, on the first proc its like you already got 1k+ hp value from it, assuming you go into the fray with it at level 11 or so, the higher your level the more resonant guard is better than cookie in this case since its % hp based, if it procs twice (which is likely to happen in a single battle since scizor is so tanky) then it 100% surpassed the ammount of hp a fully stacked cookie gives, you want cookie for mons that have very low base hp or that gain extra shields/hp regen based on max hp (like tsareena and blaziken).
Scizor is really good in this meta ngl.
Also if u guys struggle against Scizor, It's biggest weaknesses are Clefable's gravity and Chanderlure's imprison.
Once i ran out of full heal. And then, the chanderlure used imprison which made me completely vulnerable. You actually can't do anything.
So, if anyone says 'Scizor is broken' or some bs, they are bad players lol.
No he is broken. No lone attacker or all rounder can kill him.

@@MasterahsokaThe all-rounder problem is mainly due to the fact the devs haven't introduced a single sp attk all-rounder. Either you stunlock and nuke the scizor before he gets his stacks or he becomes unkillable in a 1v1 especially in late game(except against ttar). The attacker problem is more due to the fact that its unite move is a sure hit and can immediately dive the backline like scyther. And since you have practically no coordination in soloq everyone just tries to 1v1 scizor and dies. Still doesn't mean it's op just needs some teamwork.
Just use any of the Cursed item and he's toast. As a Scizors main I find it most annoying cuz my lifesteal is greatly reduced. Delphox can also be a pain in the ass
Great games as always. Scizor feels really good right now. Not S tier, but he’s on par with Metagross and some of the A+ tier Pokemon it feels like.
Scyther=Scizor after this patch. Both have equal viability I feel like tho against some matchups scizor would definitely seem like the best pokemon in the world.

I’ve been using scizor for a few months now trying to find an all rounder that fits my play style. Knew it would receive a buff. Running drain crown, attack weight and weakness policy has been ready I may try muscle band to see what the hype is about.

I got 231k dmg today with swords dance scizor playing 5 stack with a clefable and firespin delphox by my side
I mean this is just me but from experience i will change muscle band with razor claw since you are always in cooldown of razor passive for the damage and it gives slow is perfect for scizor try it out.
Still thinking how quick we got from the average legendary pokemon release state in less than a month with an actual good patch
Does the damage increase make swords dance worth using especially against so many long ranged mons? Maybe I’m lacking confidence in my Scizor but I played double hit one game cause I saw my enemies had a Delphox and I wanted nothing to do with fire spin lol
Sword dance not only buffs DMG it's also a dash and in situations like you said fire spin you can engage with a eject button, or shed ninja doll for your next CD.
He does well even against ranged mons with Swords Dance. I 4v1ed against an enemy who had Aegislash, Mage A9, Charge Beam/Thunder Miraidon and another one I forgot with Swords Dance Scizor. You definitely do need confidence to do well with Swords Dance but it's worth it since now, even against ranged attackers, you do so much damage.

It’s only natural that you won’t win every interaction with it but swords dance helps scizor to brawl a lot better right now. And tbh if you are too unsure about scizor against their range attackers then instead just stay as scyther with double hit to stick with them as the burst of dualWB is more reliable. Both scizor and scyther are superb rn and all builds are valid for both. IMO you will benefit more if you get accustomed to switch between playstyle as per the enemy team.
I use x attack + Cursed bangle on this thing and there's hardly any melle opponent can beat me. It can also essily 2 v 1 so long as those opponents are melee too.
Since you're using Muscle, is it better than Razor on this build? I feel like the slow can help since you don't have the big range of Double Hit
Scizor already has a slow in his passive so you can forego razor
Scizor is super awesome to play this season. At level 15 he is basically unkillable. Nothing better than 1v5ing the enemy team and winning haha
as a scizor main, i approve this. heck even before the buff, since last year, when everyone says scizor is trash and whatnot, i stick with him
despite the buffs, you can see how Scizor still struggles vs special mages, they still did so much damage to him 10:50

He was already viable before the update so was mewscarda. They are conplete monsters now.

Scyther only deserves to be put into the trash when you try to run swords dance over double hit on it. Even with the buff, it's not even Scyther without double hit.

Muscle band, weakness policy, resonant guard, razor claw, drain crown and curse bangle. You can play any of those for attack item.
Scizor gets nerfed because of scyther after release and gets buffed again now. Meanwhile machamp gets no love. What's worse is they nerfed his cross chomp. 😢
Cross chop was fixed I believe. It was a bug

I slowed and zoomed the video to see the damage numbers. And Muscle Band does indeed proc twice on Scizor's technician. I think the patch only nerfed MB for Scyther.

Probably not because scizor relies on bullet punch for dmg instead of basic attks unlike a lot of other all-rounders.
Fyi there's now a fake CrisHeroes account dotting about.i got confused when he started pinging at our zoroark comfey team mates while they were making dumb plays and he ignored bottom regi and prioritised top regi all game. Checked after, 1k games and something like 54% WR. Just FYI.
still, I love double hit. Just sad that the bug is fixed and double hit scizor isn't that good anymore

Nd now can say a good attacker player except Pikachu could defeat scizor due to range in punch with sword dance moveset

Syther sything up lives
You dont need weakness policy. Its a trash item. Sure, the extra 12% atk is theoretically nice, but you have to take damage first, which means you cant engage with it.
Use resonant guard instead. It stacks well with bp shield and gives you extra bulk for engagement.
You can even drop the attack weight really. Running a fully stacked attack weight only adds on around 20 extra attack on the swords dance. I personally am running charging charm for the big burst of damage, again, for engagement.

Also, muscle band no longer procs twice on technician. Only the first basic procs it. That was the bug they fixed on mb. Ive personally tested this in practice mode, and the second basic was definitively missing the extra damage.
So take razor claw instead of muscle band right?

Lol any all rounder need weakness policy since they take damage anyway. You're not much of a fighter are you? Based on your item build, your playstyle looks more of a hit and run speedster.
Also mb still works. The second basic attack is just naturally weaker than the first. You can read it on skill description
@@dyrothobee Weakness policy is a trash item. You dont want to have to take damage before you start doing damage, and there are items that give better benefits while still giving more consistent attack.
Also, its funny you say that because I literally just finished a game with 21 kills, 12 assists 128k damage, 54k taken and 38k healed. On day one of the patch, I already had 3 140k+ dmg 50k+ healing games. Im also ranked 89 in the world currently on scizor.

I have 30K coins to buy all rounder what should I go for I am confused between blaziken metagross and gyrados.
Blaziken if you learn how to use him properly Is the best among those 3, metagross Is really good and easy to use. Gyarados meh, you can use only One build and in my opinioni Is below blaziken and metagross
Those three are definitely strong in their own ways tbh. If you prefer skill and strength, Blaziken is for you. If you prefer a mon with movesets that would suit you, Metagross is great. If you can beat the challenge of evolving a Magikarp which you definitely will evolve at level 4 at the minimum, Gyarados is for you and even with one moveset(Dragon Breath/Bounce), he is actually immensely strong with it and sometimes even better than both of them if played correctly.
IN MY OPINION, Metagross, he is easy to use and sometimes you are immortal

Still wipes, it just turns out that this thing, OH MY GOD, requires skill (unlike Scizor) so you won't be pressing one button dealing 11.640 damage per second (ahem ahem Eevees ahem). And 80% of Scizor players can't play Scyther lul
