There is also a cheaper way to test Oud on spot. Bring a glass of water then drop few drops of the claimed oud oil. If the drops formed an oil bubble then it is not pure oud. But if the oil drops started to blend in with the water on top then it is pure oud. As you may now، Oud oil doesn't act like other oils because it is more like a risen rather than oil

This doesn't prove anything because some oils are sinking depending on the density. Others mix co2 oil with distilled oil from the same wood to create a more balanced profile. The co2 tends to be more dense.
Hi great to find an Oud expert on TH-cam! I have some expensive samples of pure oud oils. I want to make them into 3-6ml bottles of attar. What solvent would be a good mix for the oud oil? DPG? Thanks for your help

Why does the CO2 oil sink when this method only extracts the top notes and lacks any base notes i.e the oil is clean and light in nature
Every oud smells different it can definitely smell like musk or amber etc
