Julie Anne San Jose Church Concert Scandal: Lessons to Learn | ft. Dad Michael Say

A video of singer Julie Anne San Jose, who was seen performing inside a church, caught people’s attention online.
The singer performed at the Nuestra Señora Del Pilar Shrine in Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro, on October 6, with songs including “Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga and “Dancing Queen” by ABBA, to name a few.
The event was called the “Heavenly Harmony Concert (Harana para kay Maria),” where artists performed a number of songs.
Social media users have aired their criticism online upon seeing the video of Julie Anne, pointing out the concert being held at a church as well as the singer’s allegedly inappropriate clothing and setlist of songs.
While the parish is facing backlash for the said move, it was clarified through their note on the poster that the proceeds from the concert would be used for the development of the church. Julie Anne has not yet issued a statement regarding the issue.

As a Catholic, this is the first time I heard they held a concert inside the church. We also held some mini concerts but usually outside the church. The altar is a sacred area, not anyone can go up there at anytime they want

Concerts that are held in the church should be about Praise & Worship. Anything that’s nothing to do with God is a clear violation and disrespect to the holiness of God.
May it served as a lessons to those who disregard the holy place of God.

Praising the Lord requires proper attire and behavior, not 'Dancing Queen.' I'm not judgmental, but Julie Ann, the priest, and concert attendees disrespected the church. As adults, they should know better. Their actions weren't professional. If you disagree, you're turning a blind eye to disrespect. Everyone makes mistakes, but they should distinguish right from wrong.
