  • Pedaling force? Bump force? Brain knows the difference. Smoother rides await.

The Brain manages your suspension and lets you focus on hammering to the top of the podium. Brain suspension adjusts between firm and plush faster than human reaction, without you needing to flip any levers, assuring the suspension is always in the appropriate setting for any given terrain. And because this is automatic, you stay in the zone, focusing solely on riding your line and putting power to the pedals.

pretty sweet video! I think the fork is the biggest brain improvement for the new bike. The rear end in soft is super plush!

I get that the system can distinguish pedal induced bob and actual shock from the ground. My big question is, how fast is its reaction time?

The only problem is - service. In my country it is very difficult to get this repaired and even to service. 125hours is super short I do 10h rides a weekend. That means every 2 months i should be sending bike for month away for service :(

Not for the average consumer! These are expensive to maintain and when you send it back to Specialized for service there is a very good chance it will not work when you get it back! Unless you are racing at a high level not worth it the epic was the worst specialized bike I have owned!

If it's like everyone I know who has one it will break every 6 months, and you can't send it in to rockshox you have to send it to specialized. Everyone I know how has one also has a backup shock they run most of the time cause the brain in unreliable.

It's an inertia valve that breaks every six months or so. So if you get one make sure you have a backup shock that will fit your bike.
