Thank you so very much for playing the song, I will be picking Justin up today and I will tell him about your kindness. You are 100% correct in regards to my feeling that Justin is a special blessing from God. I have never said why me God? I say thank you God. His mother abandoned him and moved away 5 years ago and has never returned to see Justin. It was God's plan for things to turn out the way they have, for the better.
Song called, “Why God” by Austin French. Check out this song. We may not know why things happen and it’s okay to ask “why God?” As he is our father and us his children. He knows why and controls the why! His plan is perfect and I am so thankful for our God! One day in Heaven we will hear Justin sing praise to him! What a day that will be! God bless!
@Brent C. How blessed indeed is your son to have such a man as his father. How blessed are you both to have the other.❤️❤️ Are you familiar with or even aware of ‘Night to Shine’? Created by TTF- the Tim Tebow Foundation, it is a truly beautiful thing! Check it out and see if you think it’s something you and your son might enjoy! It costs you exactly NOTHING, but for the honor of your presence. Our first year we had 50 churches; now we were in over 50 COUNTRIES, hundreds of churches, and countless volunteers. Most important of course are the guests of honor!❤️ I so encourage y’all to react to Rascal Flatts’ Our Night to Shine, official 2017 Night to Shine highlights video!!! Beautiful doesn’t even begin… Never time wasted watching you two react; appreciate you! Stay safe & love much💖💖
Im with you. I have a 30 yr old son, diagnosed with micro-cephaly since birth no matter how i thought i cared for him while i carried him inside. He was told to not live longer than 9 mos, then 2 yrs, and so on but he endured to this day. Not a word since and couldn't carry himself even just to sit up. But he is the angel in our midst. The strongest and bravest in the fam. He keeps me grounded and stronger than i thought i could be. I just tell him God loves him so much that he owned him from the start and he wants to keep him away from doing something wrong that will lead him astray from HIM. These children like ours, are the purest of souls...
I've probably heard most Collin raye songs. This is definitely a new one for me. I couldn't describe what I just saw cause I all I saw was a blur through tears.
I taught my kids that kids with disabilities are special. I remember my kids playing with a special needs girl my wife was setting with. To them she was no different then them. My son was playing basketball with his friends and a neighbor boy who was in a wheelchair wanted to play. My son, Travis, stopped the game and gave the boy the ball and pushed the wheelchair up to the goal and shouted “shoot it Johnny” . I’ve never been more proud.
@@dannywood1472 As you should be. Sounds like you have raised them the way they should be. I have a special place in my heart for the physical and mentally challenged. I worked in that field for years
From songfacts: This song is a tribute to Raye's granddaughter, Haley, who suffered from a severe but undiagnosed brain disorder. Raye explained on his website: "It's very hard to write about things like this, because nothing is ever good enough for her, and it's hard to put into words how you feel. The idea of 'She's With Me' struck me about a year or so ago. Thinking in this life she can't do anything for herself. She comes and goes because she's with me, and then I related it to the after life thinking, well, if I'm lucky enough to ever be standing in front of the Lord or St. Peter… maybe, she'll be standing there and say, Well, it's okay, because he's with me."
My oldest grandson is 21, non-verbal autistic. He has said Nana one time when he was 4. I'd love to hear him say it again but his actions speak louder than any words!! I have learned so much from him. He truly is a blessing!!! ❤
Collin Raye is in my top 5 and I’ve seen him in concert twice. Once in Anchorage, Alaska in 1994 just as I was really getting into Country and again in 2019 in Arlington, Texas. I loved both concerts and what sucks is that we don’t have concert ticket stubs anymore as momentos. I still have my one from 1994 in my collection. I wish we still had those. Collin Raye’s music was the soundtrack of my 20s and his music is timeless. My favorites from this 90s Country crooner are Little Rock; That Was a River; If I Were You; Not That Different; Love Remains; In This Life; Man of My Word; Love, Me; Somebody Else’s Moon; Every Second; What the Heart Wants; I Volunteer; Heart Full of Rain; One Boy, One Girl; Angel of No Mercy; I Think About You; I Love Being Wrong; On the Verge; The Gift; Little Red Rodeo; That’s My Story; Someone You Used To Know; and She's With Me.
I cried too. I remember when Mellie was borne there were some complications and it was hard for you, but you were so strong, strength that come to every parent with an special need child.
I work in the cafeteria at a high school and when those special kids ( I call them my babies) my heart just lights up. And they want you to smile, say hello, and treat them as you will any child you approach. Yes, I cried too.
I cried through this whole reaction. I know this song very well. My first granddaughter passed away August 1st 2022. She was 10 hours old. She had CHD a heart condition. The worse day of my family’s life.. our beautiful Every Joy is our Angel Baby. 🦋♥️🦋. I love you guys. And all your reactions.
definitely tears. To relate, best I can, I am paralyzed from the shoulders down. Have been for 16 years now. Don't have children, and won't, but my niece and nephew are autistic and I love them more than I thought someone could love a child. Every day, "disabilities" have a roadblock, and every day we get around them.
I cried with ya. God bless Brent and Justin. Collin Raye has always had a way with a ballad, and this one being so deeply personal to him just made it more impactful. He tested my tear ducts for the first time with Love, Me…and just kept going. I was fortunate enough to see him in a small venue concert back in the 90’s and to this day it’s probably one of the best concerts I’ve ever enjoyed.
Collin Raye used to tour with his band, The Wrays, through Reno, NV and would play at the Peppermill casino. He called himself "Bubba Wray" at the time. I spent years listening to his fantastic songs. He sure made the nights go by faster when he sang. We were happy to see him leave for Nashville but were sad that all of those free concerts were over.
I had to wait almost 5 years to hear my baby speak. 8 years in our day still involves diapers, bathing, a stroller, a special bus. I still deal with meltdowns and our room has essentially a twin size soft sided crib. But i wouldnt trade it for the world. And when i see how far we have come its worth it. You appreciate every precious milestone. Because you know they have worked SO hard to accomplish it.
This is my first time hearing this song. I too have a disabled son who will live with us forever...he too is a blessing and our hero! Thank you for sharing this video and your insights into the meaning.
We have a Great Granddaughter living with that is a special needs child. She is 6 and doesn’t speak yet. I am so glad that we are retired now so we can so much time with her. She is a blessing beyond words. She is so loving. God has blessed us.
Beautiful song and story. Also, I agree with Carmen. "Love Me" by Collin Raye is a must listen. You have to hear that song and have Ali join you when if you do.
My much beloved sister was disabled and cared for by my Mom until my Mom died. Brenda died at age 33, just 5 weeks later, from a broken heart. Yes, these special children are unselfish souls, sent to teach us. Don't miss the opportunity to learn from them!
Love, Love, Love you two kindred souls!! Your reactions make me cry, and I'm a 69 year old ex-truck driver. Can't wait for the next one. If you can please try to slip in "My Little Girl" by Tim Mcgraw. It was written for the soundtrack of the movie "Flicka" which stared Tim. I think it will be right up your alley. Thanks for the emotions.
Brings to mind my friend and her adopted son. She and her husband didn't hesitate to take over the privilege of caring for him after his father shook him so severely it blinded him, non-verbal, and will never walk. He's always smiling and happy and so, so loved.
I felt all he was saying so deeply, because all three of my boys are severely challenged, Doctors are unable diagnose them, twins 23 and a 20 yr old. They are totally dependent and don’t talk either, but they are all the biggest blessing to me and always show me the kind of love that can only come from God
A very special song by Collin Raye. He had many great songs from the 90’s. This one called “That’s My Story” is a very humorous and upbeat song I think you would really like. th-cam.com/video/BewKY_BpVXg/w-d-xo.html
Brent! Indeed you are blessed!! ❤God bless all the dear children!! God bless your beautiful son! Have you heard John Lennon sing Beautiful Boy? You must hear it. It’s a featured song in the movie Mr.Holland’s Opus with Richard Dreyfus. 🕊❤️🙏🏼 to you and yours. This song is beautiful.
One of the most beautiful things I ever saw was years ago at a TGIF. In the corner, at one of the tables, sat a lady with a severely disabled boy who was in his teens. They were sharing an ice cream cone. i wanted so much to go tell her how awesome she was but I didn't. I left the store and never saw them again but I never forgot them.
I believe this life is just part of our journey and maybe a stop off to learn how to love. I don’t think there’s a greater love in this life than that for our children. As hard as it is to go through the heartache of having a special needs child, the blessing is, at the end of their journey here, I know their souls are heaven bound. No ifs, ands, or buts. Straight into the arms of Jesus! ❤️
I have been listening to country my entire life, and I've never heard this song. Sebs you are absolutely right. When you have kids, you think about the what if's. It's hard not to. This just shows that God really does put blessings in everything...you just have to see them. Seriously this video has me in tears. And then when Ali started crying....6 AM, I'm laying in bed crying right along with her. As a mother specifically, it's hard. I know mother's who have had children with special needs, and the mother struggles to question if they did something wrong during the pregnancy to cause this in their baby. So this song is just beautiful, showing that even when it's not what we expected...that baby is still sent from God.
I am a retired paraproffessonal and there was no joy stronger than the light in their eyes when they "communicated" with me. My prayers are with all who have special kids. They are a blessing in ways we may not understand
THANK YOU!!!! that was amazing!!!! would not ever have found this without you guys!!! I don't have human kids but I have special needs animals...I know it isn't quite the same but I soooo relate to how much better of a person I WANT TO BE FOR THEM!!!!!
Omg! A reactor finally found Colin! He's perfect for you as someone who came around on country and the relationship you always demonstrate. With that in mind check out "The Ocean" and "Love, Me" by him. You'll love them both!
Dale Evans, Roy Roger's wife, wrote a book about their special needs child.I read it as a teenager and have never forgotten Angel Unaware. Since then. That's how I see children. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2
Thank you for playing Colin Raye. Love his music! He digs deep. Maybe listen to ‘What if jesus comes back like that’. That got me thru nursing school wanting to make a difference… Also, ‘Not that Different’ and ‘I think about you’. The titles are not about what one would think. Love your channel!
That first course grabs your heart strings...and people being so dedicated and not looking at disabilities or frustration when we are needing help and support to see the strength in others and recognize....thanks for you two sharing and the two of you showing pride in relationships and togetherness and complimenting others and giving KUDOS. I NEEDED THIS AND A COUPLE TO SHARE PEOPLE AND LOVE.
I lost my son in 2013 almost 10 years. He was 27 not special needs but still it's a good day when I get through it without crying. I thought today was going to be a day I got through but nope. This video did me in.
It's been almost a year since you guys played Collin Raye's song and video, "She's with me" If possible I would like to send a recent picture of Justin. I will always be grateful to you for playing that song and your very kind words as well as others. Justin is a gift, not a burden.
Collin wrote that song for his grandaughter Haley Marie Bell who passed away in 2010 at the age of 10. He loved that little girl so much. Haley had a neurological disorder that the best doctors in the country could not diagnose and her brain deteriorated rapidly. Its a beautiful song describing how he tried to keep her with him as much as possible while she was alive. ❤
I had never heard this but now read up on his granddaughter. Man, it sounds like she had what my daughter had, Rett Syndrome. We lost her almost 6 years ago. Thanks for having this song.
He dedicated the song to a Rett Syndrome fundraiser a year or two later after the song came out. With so many different MecP2 mutations undiscovered I wouldn’t be surprised if it had been that Haley suffered from. My daughter also passed away, one year ago today.
First, to Brent, God has certainly blessed your child with a wonderful, loving father. Now, Sebs, I would like to request that you react to a country song by Darius Rucker called “This”. I am positive that you will love it. And no, it will NOT make you cry. 💗
God bless you to anyone who has a disabled child just remember God does not put on us more than we can bear and when we get to heaven we will all be beautifully and perfectly made thank you Jesus amen amen
Such a beautiful song. God gave us all a purpose, regardless of our abilities. Songs from father to daughters, "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle and "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman.
Our second granddaughter has Down Syndrome. When we found out before she was born, we were all afraid of our uncharted journey to come. We prayed and prayed that the tests were wrong… but they were not. She’s two years old now. At 10 weeks she had to open heart surgery to save her life. She coded twice the night before surgery. Thankfully, God heard our new prayers to save her for us. Now none of us could picture our lives without her! She is strong and joy filled… and she has been nothing but a blessing. You are right… God sends special children to people he can trust to treasure them and and who he wants to bless beyond measure! Our lives will forever more be better for her joyful laugh and beautiful smile!
I’ve always loved Colin’s music but somehow I missed this one until now. This is a very touching song. I am at work and I almost got caught with tears running down. Awesome reaction guys. Another great Colin Raye song is “One Boy, One Girl.” Check it out when you get a chance.
My brother just sent me your reaction to this song. Great, now I'm sat with tears in my eyes 😭😂. My daughter is non verbal and has a very rare genetic condition also, this song hits hard. I actually have "she's with me" tattooed on my arm
Collin has many, many wonderful songs, many more than were released as singles. His ALBUMS are worth a listen. Although he is known for ballads with that beautiful voice, he can rock it up, too. There are too many songs to list, but in getting a feel for your heart, here are a few recommendations I have not seen in the comments: (I did not read them all) Love Remains I Wish I Could The 11th Commandment Bible and a Bus Ticket Home In This Life She's Gonna Fly
You should really check out Mark Schultz - letters from war, walking her home, and he's my son. They're all beautiful heart felt songs, I think you would enjoy.
Funny thing... I was just watching this video a couple of hours ago, and was actually thinking you two should watch this video... Probably right at about the time you were uploading it... Nice coincidence... Yes, He was "Bubba Wray" in the family band... His mother was a singer who opened up for little known acts such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins... Not a bad accolade to have opened up for every member of the "Million Dollar Quartet"... But his biggest success was as a solo artist in the '90s, as a solid hit maker, with songs such as "Love, Me", or "Not That Different" or "Little Rock", or "If You Get There Before I Do", or "In This Life, or "If I Were You", to name just a few... This song was about his Grand Daughter, who passed away from a rare brain disorder. Very sad, but inspiring celebration of her life. I am sure she is proud of her grandfather for spreading the love... I don't even have kids myself, and it still gives me chills... I used to work with a girl who was torn up because she had just learned her son had a genetic disorder, and she was afraid she couldn't live up to what he needed her to be... Another friend was there, who also had a special needs child just shook her head, and told her don't worry, it will only make you love him that much more... And that makes ALL the difference... Just be there, and do your best... That is all anyone can ask...
Just as an FYI - you have another Collin Raye song on the Upvoty Country Requests called “If You Get There Before I Do”…that is NOT the name of the song. The name of the song is “Love Me”. Use Collin Raye’s official video from his channel AND watch it with your wife!
Colin Raye is a fantastic artist. A few of my favorite songs that you would enjoy are Love me On the Verge Little Rock My kind of girl One boy, One girl Thats my story I can still feel you Not that different little Red Rodeo What if Jesus comes back like that What the Heart wants

❤❤❤❤❤❤GOD BLESS ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ ALL, ESPECIALLY THE UNFORTUNATE XOXOXOX
Rest well, Justin.
You already know this, Sebs wife, but we do too. He has a beautiful soul. This is what the world needs more of: Sebs.
Great reaction! As parents, you should listen to Trace Atkins sing "You're Going To Miss This" together. Very good life lesson for the young parents.
I lost my son in 2013 almost 10 years. He was 27 not special needs but still it's a good day when I get through it without crying. I thought today was going to be a day I got through but nope. This video did me in.
I love Colin raye! My favorite is Love me. It almost makes me cry everytime I hear it. Awww, such a great song.
Love me is my favorite as well ! :)
He has it on the voting page with the wrong name. I added “Love Me” to the Upvoty page yesterday 😊
It's been almost a year since you guys played Collin Raye's song and video, "She's with me" If possible I would like to send a recent picture of Justin. I will always be grateful to you for playing that song and your very kind words as well as others. Justin is a gift, not a burden.
I'm not crying, you're crying! 😭
6 kids 3 of each.. all my boys have autistic. I mourned the children I thought I would have and celebrated the children I received. Thank-you God!!
We should never look at children with special needs with pity because they are perfectly made and precious in his sight ❤️❤️
I have a daughter on the autism spectrum. Love Colin . Bless u Brent
Collin Raye makes some amazing songs. You should dig into more of his stuff.
Don't worry about the tears. We are all right there with you.
I was a Colin Raye fan in the 90's and had no idea about his grandchild or this song.
My brother just sent me your reaction to this song. Great, now I'm sat with tears in my eyes 😭😂. My daughter is non verbal and has a very rare genetic condition also, this song hits hard. I actually have "she's with me" tattooed on my arm
That was so beautiful ... Yes, my eyes leaked.
My 8 year old grandson is autistic and he’s the sweetest, smartest, most loving boy in the world! He makes me so happy to be his Nonnie! ❤
Collin has many, many wonderful songs, many more than were released as singles. His ALBUMS are worth a listen. Although he is known for ballads with that beautiful voice, he can rock it up, too. There are too many songs to list, but in getting a feel for your heart, here are a few recommendations I have not seen in the comments: (I did not read them all)
Love Remains
I Wish I Could
The 11th Commandment
Bible and a Bus Ticket Home
In This Life
She's Gonna Fly
I don't know about anybody else but I'm in tears.
I cried with y'all. Beautiful song! My next to youngest daughter is 23 years old and autistic!
You should really check out Mark Schultz - letters from war, walking her home, and he's my son. They're all beautiful heart felt songs, I think you would enjoy.
I was ugly cryin for that one.
Very humbling! Thank you.
Beautiful song. I’ve not heard this before.
Much love sent to you and your son Brent.
💞💞💞💞😢😢😢😢💞💞💞💞THANK YOU SEB AND ALI💞💞I LOVE COLINS SONGS 🫂🫂
You both are awesome people.
I wasn't familiar with the artist. I wasn't familiar with the song. Thank you for introducing me.
A few of my favorite songs that you would enjoy are
Love me
On the Verge
Little Rock
My kind of girl
One boy, One girl
