Delphox needs a special attack version of fling. Whether it be a psychic type move along the lines of "kinesis" (I know the word kinesis is already used by Alakazam) or as a ghost type "mage hand".
Imagine it fling-ing items every turn and stripping a whole team's held items. It would be a really cool niche for only burning one move slot (and "sacrificing"/trading it's own held item). Throwing it's own choice item away would be really cool too, you switch in halfway through a match and strip your own item and steal their's to unlock the rest of your set.
If only delphox can learn fling
Does it have enough ATK to deal decent damage with Fling?
Does it matter if Big Nugget 🤔

Seriously though, Delphox is one of my favorite starters since i grew up around the gen 5 and Gen 6 era (Much moreso 5 then six though.) delphox is easily within my top five starters of choice, and its cool to see its ability used and really go off.
Cuddled up with the BF, watching this on my phone, as he tries to make predictions and understand how competitive matches work, and I cannot tell you how adorable it is that he's trying. The greatest thing he said was, "Oh he's going to sacrifice the Koala!" and I'm like, "Yes he is baby". lol That's how you know you've made it.

something interesting ive been trying and is absolutely broken when u set it up right is adamant tera dragon milotic, with aqua tail, scale shot, coil and recover with loaded dice, totally unexpected for milotic to be physically broken but it works!

Quiver dance might be a hard sell, but its dex entry talks about its tail fins flashing and glowing, so it deserved tailglow at least as much as manaphy did.

Sorry Delphox but that simply doesn't work. Its gimmicky its unreliable and its still lacks the power to one shot some bulky waters. I wish it had magic guard it fit thematically makes it inmune to entry hazard and allow delphox to use life orb without recoil damage

I used to hate Delphox’s design but it’s grown on me through the years. Still my least favorite Gen 6 starter though.

I was gonna ask you to run a simple bibarel with skull bash to raise its defense 2 stages and hit with a 130 stab move... but gf removed it from this game... sadge. Anyways, can you make bibarel sweep? Assuming he's still in the game.

Damn that was a fun one. Most of the time, your headliner in the video title does maybe one or two really cool things before it goes down, but not this time! Delphox chewed that whole team up!
Absolutely loved watching this match. I've had my fingers crossed for a Lumineon buff or even an evolution down the line.
It would be good if it got some Electric moves and some more Fairy moves to bulk out its repertoire, maybe even Life Dew (in my mind, an OP move mitigated by poor distribution).

I used to use this in nat dex UU! I still think Delphox should get meteor beam, since it’s based on wizards which often get meteor spells at high levels. The same could even apply to Draco meteor, but only dragons get that, so eh.

@@zacscudder8119 They are. Some starters are already in the game, but is has been confirmed that with the indigo disk dlc the rest of the starters will be added to SV.
Delphox is one of my fav starters and def my fav gen 6 starter. I don't understand the hate and it's usually by straight dudes if that makes a difference. Idk I also notice straight dudes don't seem to usually like fairy mon and such as if they're too effeminate for them

Great battle and video as always haydunn! Really loving the consistent uploads keep it up man! I think a fun idea you should try is a generation team. Pick any gen you want but you can only use mons from that gen! (And if you like the idea then theres 9 whole video ideas for ya :p)

It's sad that delphox do not have a special equivalent of fling.
Funny anecdote: When I caught a sneasel in X/Y it had fling and the first thing I had in mind was making her holding a pokéball and ask her to use fling with said pokéball against an other pokémon, didn't worked as expected. Now, when I think back about that moment, I wonder what I was expecting. Of course I can't make my sneasel into a pokémon leader.

I literally ran this build in gen 6! I had an all gen 6 team with some dumb gimmicks like power herb/magician delphox, full physical wall furfrou, and contrary malamar.
Idk why everyone hates Lumineon! 😭 It's pretty & has a cool cry, and good moves. I hope it gets buffed one day so it gets some appreciation. Ive always liked it!
