However, so long as you're not with the government, they'll actually then take you to their secret tattoo artists to do it for you, in a completely different unlisted location. XD As for acceptance of tattoos, it just depends on your work place. I know many people here in Korea with tattoos. However, I have definitely been put in some uncomfortable situations due to my tattoos during work and at Buddhist temples, lol.

It's a bit more lenient these days with a lot of young people getting them for fashion compared with places like Japan where you can be barred entry from certain places, most likely due to their long history of Yakuzas.

Actually, Korea and Japan have the exact same views on tattoos. They see it as gang related. Nowadays, of course, it’s becoming more open. But Korea and Japan are the only two countries in the world where tattoos are illegal. You legally can’t operate a tattoo shop unless you have a medical degree. Which is dumb, but people obviously still open up tattoo shops.
@@user-gp1bt4vm3r I agree, it used to be gang related, but I think it is little diffrent, because in Japan, you can’t go to public bathhouses (it saids no tattoo on the door) but in Korea it is no problem. Also, I see more young people getting tattoo in Korea than Japan, but it is still illegal just like you said.
@@knjbackpacker I know it’s a matter of preference, but I agree with a lot of people that it was pretty dull. I just couldn’t finish it and ended up stopping after the 4th episode. Honestly, I expected Squid Game to be the same, but I blown away by that one and finished it in 3 days. It seems like people who like anime and Japanese culture really like AIB.
In Korean drama you must cry even in comedy shows 💁♀️😂 but I loved it
