I have GAD, chronic depression, autism and suspected BPD (difficult to diagnose with Autism in the middle lol). I miss my routine, my dance classes, my friends, etc. and it's messing me up BADLY. But these tips are really helpful! I started exercising again, avoiding overeating atm and reading/writing/drawing/painting and it definitely helps! 10/10 recommended!

Things that keep my mind unpluged : staying in pj and messy home. When I get dressed and clean a bit I can function 🤗

Hi my name is Ruth and I have Asperger's. I am really struggling with anxiety at the moment. It's not to do with the virus or any of that. I find I am struggling coping with the loss of routine. I had structure in my life and I knew what I was doing when I was doing it. I would go to work as a health care assistant and know what to do. I had social activities and clubs. But now everything has changed (even work as we now have different procedures) and for me and my autism it is too many changes at once. This has caused my anxiety to spike and I find when this happens I get flare ups of autism or start having meltdowns again. Which is embarrassing for me as I haven't had them for several years and have managed to overcome alot of the challenges and kinda keep my autism hidden. I am keeping myself occupied as I am reading books but wondered if you had any suggestions to help me. :) Thank you

Recently I've been looking into videos about the personality types. I found mine and it was a definite perfect hit. I learned helpful things like stuff about strengths and weaknesses. Before I already had an idea of course, but now everything makes more sense. Also, how many people have the same MBTI, how many are kind of close, tips that help me understand and interact with others better. I've gained perspective. And as a logician, well now my logic is stronger.
Rethinking my routine has been kind of fun. I also started exercising about 3 months ago (a routine). Just simple stuff I can do home for 10-20min daily. I'm feeling the benefits of that too. I still spend the vast majority of my time on the computer, learning stuff or just watching shows. I also set a goal to learn to cook better, great video resources for that too. I spend an hour or more on cooking now, instead of just slapping together something. Another routine, I love all the learning associated with it, and I get to eat better food too.
For social activities and clubs, depending on what it is I think you might find people online who want the same thing. Maybe a discussion or hangout kind of thing around a hobby. It really makes all the difference just to talk to someone on the screen. I'm thinking these kind of online things are going to explode in popularity, and that will be interesting for aspies too, as we will have greater chances of finding people who would actually like to hear us go on about our interests. The anxiety should be less too, because who cares what a face on the screen thinks about you. No reason to worry about someone who isn't even interesting, right?
Books are great but some amount of physical activity is a must. Einstein walked 3 miles a day, cycled, played the piano and violin. He would have never stayed in high performance at old age, if he hadn't also been getting a reasonable amount of that motoric stimulation. Avoid the TV. That thing just melts the brain. Better to choose exactly what you watch and when, and not be bothered by ads. Best of luck. Hope any of this helps with something :)

Start a garden if you can. Give a purpose and down the road you will have food as well as avoid travel to a supermarket.

Dan, I keep saying it, You're Awesome. That includes Naomi who knows and loves you best. Please remember to let her how much you appreciate her and give her the space she needs. I look for your daily livestreams and videos, hearing your voice and honest personality is so helpful in mine and I'm sure all your Super Heroes daily lives and through this isolating time.

Having a to-do list, even if it’s different from before, helps me a lot. My days include sewing, walking, and resting. I am trying a different book that’s very interesting, and my family is watching Disney movies. We Skype with our son and daughter-in-law., and Zoom with friends. You are sharing great ideas 😀

Until to last 3 weeks. Self isolation was just being autistic,
    Now it's a term.
Cabin fever man in the shinning.
He went crazy just being on his own,
"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy".
I was seeing a thing on Stanley Kubrick, he got his receptionist to type up that saying 100's of times.
    Here's Johnny.

Where can I find headphones for silence? The headphones I use to drown out the noise of my lawn mower don't work inside the grocery store or inside my house when family members are being loud. I don't want to listen to music. I want silence. Thank you!

Since most places except the essential shops are closed for lockdown right now, your best bet for finding noise cancelling headphones is online my dude. Hope you're holding up okay
