I personally love some of the halo explosions. especially when you destroy the covenant vehicles and there's a purplish pink explosion. it looks soooo cool especially in slow motion

Andres Pratdesaba Bethesda is amazing at world building, but a bit iffy on everyrhing else concerning game developement. Gameplay has been fine in all of their games but it has never been amazing. And the graphics are just bad.

Project Reality, SQUAD, Insurgency... some of the best game out there with incredible explosion effects and sounds. The animations, particle effects, smoke and fire are simply jaw dropping. Don't even have to say about Battlefield 1... how the hell wasn't it not mentioned in the video? The dust and smoke from the explosions even have their shadows on the ground. It's simply amazing.
Heck even Mercenaries playground of destruction had great explosions. With the cheat codes you could potentially set off a multitude of different ordinances at once....I remember creating some awesome explosions in that first game. And of course the second game improved upon graphics
C&C Generals also had nice explosions. And one of my favourite was Twisted Metal 2. I know that's really old but you know when it came out it just rocked everything:)
He'll let loose, squad, and battlefield 4 are my fav explosions, it's so awesome when you r stuck in a frenzy of bombs or running from explosions behind you.
my mind was blown by red faction's explosions in 2009.and crysis 3 is one of the best looking games ever it's even better than some next gen games but of course on pc :p

Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. The Pulse Bomb is so beautiful it makes you squint a little as it looks like a star is born. Also making a ship go critical and detonate is dazzling as well.
I was expecting to see the nuke rocket launcher in JC3 as an example of the explosions in the game The mushroom cloud it creates is smaller than expected but still amazing
Nothing will ever sound more beautiful than the rocket launcher in 007 Goldeneye (the original one) or an enemy horde rushing two dozen siege tanks and getting shelled simultaneously in Star Craft 2: Wings of Liberty.
Rather than including 'Command and Conquer' you guys should have included 'World in Conflict'.The explosions and destructive environment were not only breathtaking but also realistic.
