i lost my husband this year 2024, he got only 59 years of life, we met and fell in love in 1984, married and living together 38 years, this was one of *our songs* in the late 80s when KD was out there singing it with Roy and also on her own. we bought her version with Roy and we used to dance to it in our apartment, we were just a young couple, very devoted to and in love with each other . . . and over the decades Tom always continued to pull me into his long protective arms when we would hear one of our songs from our younger days, not everyday mind you, as building a life together isn't all roses and free-time, its mostly busy hardwork with difficulties and compromise . . . but maybe 2--3 times a month . . . and oddly more frequently in our 50s, and these youtube songs became a big part of our quiet times together these past 6--7 years, including listening a hundred times to KD singing this one me and Tom we built our whole life together, he's the very best friend i ever had, we were practically *one* our life was *totally* entwined . . . finishing université together, our first car, starting out in our careers, our first starter home, then our two precious daughters, home repairs, cars breaking down, caring for our elderly parents, family vacations, dozens of roadtrips . . . all the way to 4 grand-babies, the newest only just born *after* his passing this year Tom gave us absolutely everything, me and our daughters, there's no way to convey just how giving and noble and dutiful he has always been he didn't deserve to face such a painful brutal rapid decline that took him so quickly at such a young age, a very young grandfather, who always talked of us growing old together and watching over our kids and grandkids together. From our first moments together as a couple 4 decades ago and always and even up to last year, Tom always said *I can't wait til you're a wrinkly old lady* why is it that the *very best kindest souls* seem to leave this life early and i'm here crying and alone, and now needing again 36 years later to hear KD singing so *passionate painful and soft and intimitate and sensual* as only she can do frankly this grief is so deeply painful, its still only some months since Tom passed, and KD's *voice is so evocative of profound heartbreak* and this is what i need to hear and im just going to keep giving my husband full space in my heart

Saw KD Lang live in a concert hall it was around early 1990s my daughter and I first saw her on MTV when it was KD Lang and the recliners. She has a type of voice that sounds better live than her CDs. My daughter Danielle in particular loved KD Langs voice. Her fan base was very diverse at that time. Ya got that right Shoni- they poured their heart and soul into this song. I'm a strong woman but when I hear this song, tears and the remembrance of broken hearted times of my life come to mind. It's cathartic in a sweet and painful way.

Decades later, I still recall being blown away by her voice! Although she was very young and most likely unknown by the majority of us here in the States,
(U.S.A) her voice was beyond anyone I had ever heard! I was blown away!
Especially when I realized that she was such a gifted humble singer, she held back some of her vocal capabilities out of respect, manners, and humbled adoration for the amazing, late & great Mr. Roy Orbison, to show case her (truly stunning) vocal capabilities🤩

Saw KD Lang live in a concert hall it was around early 1990s my daughter and I first saw her on MTV when it was KD Lang and the recliners. She has a type of voice that sounds better live than her CDs. My daughter Danielle in particular loved KD Langs voice. Her fan base was very diverse at that time.
