For those who come to bash on Kershaw, I must say, it's tired and old. Don't waste your time hating on this guy, he's as humble as it gets and is a great ambassador for the game.
What a pitcher, athlete and human being. 3 Cy Youngs (and more to come if he keeps this pace), 1 MVP, 1 Roberto Clemente, Player and Pitcher of the Year on the Player´s Choice Awards. The only thing missing is a World Series Ring.
I'm giants fan and this dodgers and giants rivals is great cuz of best pitchers in league. Bumgarner and Kershaw. Great stuff. Lot of entertainment from them.
The best part about this year, Kershaw won the Cy Young & MVP and everybody was expecting it to be capped off with the Dodgers getting the ring. Instead the rival Giants won the World Series and Madison Bumgarner had one of the most legendary pitching performances of all time. LOL
For the Kershaw haters: Kershaw is one of the nicest, best pitchers in baseball. If u don't want to believe that then just look at the stats and how he is in interviews and to fans
THEY SHOULD OF JUST START HIM IN GAME 7 OF WS 2017 if he was available that's just real bad set up shit that Houston needed the money in there city because of Harvey it's not fair too kershaw too be forced to lose .
Happy to answer this question for you. You have to trim each MLB clip into TINY pieces. Like up to 15 seconds max. You will notice that I cut and trim a lot!!
Kershaw is the best in the league, but I would still take King Felix over him. Durable, consistent, and just as nasty as Kershaw. I think he would be putting up Kershaw-like numbers if he was in the NL without DH's like Big Papi, and Victor Martinez. Oh, and I'm from Seattle. Right now Kershaw is a MVP and that's why he's better than felix. BTW, Felix should have won the Cy Young last year. This year it's gonna be Felix, and Kershaw this year for the Cy Young. Much respect for Kershaws brilliance, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the King.
Doesn't matter how hard you throw, just keep your arm from over usage until your older. If you can throw hard but can't locate, you can't be successful in the future.
I hope he win a world series before his contract end for the dodgers. He has carried this team so much on his back and never complained about it. He is a baseball legend and hall of famer.
***** He is efficient, but not the most efficient in baseball. In terms of average pitches thrown per inning, Kershaw is better, and he has more stamina. That's why he goes 8 innings virtually every start (he went 8 or more innings in all but 1 of his last 14 starts last year).
+MVPFLF True. This season he is getting the attention he deserves, but even last season he was putting up numbers only aces put up. I guess he was just overshadowed by the historic numbers Kershaw was delivering. Reminds me of Curt Schilling / Randy Johnson. Curt Schilling was an ace, one of the best pitchers in the league. But Randy Johnson was the MVP/Cy Young star that stole the spotlight in the early 2000s
Should have never won that mvp didn’t even pitch 200 innings mlb hyped him up years prior to this and it made mlb look better giving him the mvp. Was all for publicity not that he wasn’t good but it’s for publicity cause they have to back up hyping him up.
I'm not a fan of kershaw and the dodgers but i have to admit he is one of the best baseball pitcher , my respect to him. We need a pitcher like him in the St Louis Cardinals and Rangers. Awesome video
I love Kershaw but I WISH my other highlight videos had these discussions and viewership ex: (Kluber, Hamels, Lester, Dee Gordon, ect) :( I encourage everyone to check them out :P
***** Kershaw is not the only good pitcher in MLB. He's the BEST but there are more :) The Claw is ONE of his nicknames. Public Enemy #1 is a good nickname but more so the nickname of his best friend - the 12-6 Curveball.
***** True. No seriously, The CLaw is not his nickname. He confirmed in an interview. He said he didn't know where that came from. Public Enemy #1 is what Vin Scully called him.
Years ago I thought I would never see another "Sandy Koufax", and life smiles on me and shows me another...also in Dodger Blue. Postseason? yes it's painful, look at the Dodgers history and getting that ring has been tough, even when we show up a the dance. Baseball is more pain than joy, that's why we love it, it's like life...but oh how sweet it is. Enjoy kids, you wont be seeing another like Kershaw in a while.
Thank you Dennis. I started making videos in 2012. I was the first to make a Clayton Kershaw Highlight video EVER on TH-cam - Ultimate 2012 Highlights. I love doing this for you guys as well as myself! :) MANY MORE TO COME!
This guy gets better everyday and he is just an awesome dude. Very humble and never blames his teammates. Best pitcher in the game fuck what anyone else says. Could be in the hof but time will tell.
Keep saying the 2020 ring was Mickey Mouse, keep saying it, please do, because even in a full season your team wouldn’t have beat the dodgers in an expanded postseason. I get it, the season was short, but was the postseason reduced? Nope. So please just stop it. Before you come at me saying “Dodgers fan lmao!” I’m a Yankees fan, have a good day.
Kershaw's FIP in the postseason in 2013 and 2014 was around 2.50, and his xFIP is around 2.20. He pitched very well, but in a sample of only 6 games, sometimes a pitcher gets the short end of the stick. The Cardinals did a great job stringing hits together against him, something they've always done against him for some reason. All the underlying numbers say that Kershaw was just as much beast in the postseason as in the regular season, and it will show in the results eventually.
And that's in addition to the fact that the idea that Kershaw somehow loses it in the postseason doesn't pass the sniff test. Look at him. His intensity is off the charts. Everyone who plays with him says that he is one of the most intense and competitive people they've ever met. I don't know if I've seen him smile between taking the mound in the first and leaving the game. The guy lives to compete at the highest level in the most meaningful situations.
Grienke does get attention. But who won the MVP award and had his 200th strikeout a few nights ago? Thats right Kershaw did so not saying that Grienke is bad he just didnt win awards like Kershaw.
From a Giants fan, Kershaw is great he's like 14-4 against us or something, but too bad that doesn't translate into postseason success. Besides, Bumgarner almost negates Kershaw's success against us with his success against the Dodgers. And he's better in the postseason. I'll take another beating by Kershaw if it means another World Series title any day.
I love how the Giants fan suddenly come online and say the same thing about postseason Kershaw. Bumgarner got his butt kicked by Dodgers in his final regular season game. I thought that was good enough to show that we would have destroyed Giants had we met in postseason. Giants got lucky not to face the Dodgers and they know it.
Good for him he is that good, but the real prize has been won a little up north in the Bay. Bumgarner shows his class when it really mattered. Giants World Champions!!!
I'm a Dodgers fan forever. Kershaw blew 2 HUGE games in the playoffs. He imploded. The bullpen sucked and Mattingly was afraid to take him out. Bumgarner is LUCKY to be on a team with CHEMISTRY like the Giants. Reality and truth.
***** well he did blow game 1, but game 4 he was over 100 pitches on short rest, game 4 was just him being physically incapable, and bumgarner was great but of course he's gonna win when his team gives him more than 2 runs but game 1 was just insane on Kershaw's part
Louis Addeo-Weiss Or laziness. Coming from one of Kershaw's biggest fans. If he would have developed his Changeup, he'd have a WS ring by now. 3 pitches in 2015 won't get you to the big dance. He's still pitching like it's either 1965 or he's in AAA. The changeup is the next step...when will he get there. Again, Kershaw is one of my favorites and I will always root for him. Why does Greinke, Bumgarner, etc excel in the postseason? They have 4+ pitches they have mastered.
his postseason performance has been shoddy but look at the numbers going in to that start against the Cards Game 6 2013 NLCS. First start against Atlanta, 12 K's 1 ER in 7, 2nd start 6+ 9 K's 1 ER, 3rd start vs STL loses 1-0 against a boiling hot Wacha who had a fantastic 2013 postseason. Yeah he got lit up that final start and he keeps saying he wants to throw a change up but I think he'd give up more HR throwing one w/ that delivery. He kicks his arms/legs up so high, that 83-85 change up'll look like a Mark Buehrle fastball
Kershaw can get through the lineup 2 times in the postseason but not 3 or 4 because they know what's coming. Fastball (no cut, no sink), slider, 12-6 curve.. He's done really well in the postseason but the 3rd time around, he gets hit around. I just explained why.
***** He does just fine in the regular season with three pitches, there's no reason he shouldn't be doing well in the postseason. He's able to get by with only three pitches because his delivery is deceptive and his stuff is so good: he has two of the best out pitches in the game, and his fastballs lack of movement is what makes it hard to hit (it has a lot of rise and and almost no tailing movement, giving it a similar effect as a cutter). Kershaw's postseason woes are completely overblown, in my opinion. In his last 6 postseason starts (4 in 2013 and 2 last year), he's gotten shelled twice, thrown 3 gems, and had an ok start. His undoing in the 2 bad games wasn't his lack of a fourth pitch; in both games, he lost command of his pitches and imploded, hanging pitches down the middle and allowing them to put up a crooked inning (and both times, it should be noted, he wasn't taken out of the game by Mattingly until it was far too late). I do think he would benefit from having a fourth pitch, but I don't think it should be another off speed pitch; I think it should be a sinker, which would contrast with the rise of his 4 seamer well. And by the way, why is your profile picture a picture of Cole Hamels?
I hope to see this kid (yes, he is still that young) win his 400th win in the same uniform. He`ll do better in the postseason, for many, many, many years to come.

kershaw has the sickest 12-6 in the game. just gross.

I'm giants fan and this dodgers and giants rivals is great cuz of best pitchers in league. Bumgarner and Kershaw. Great stuff. Lot of entertainment from them.
+MrZrazies Bumgarner was never the best pitcher in the lead. He was just unhittable in the playoffs.
I wish Kershaw can traslate that success in the postseason and shut these haters up

Kershaw is amazing except late in games in the Postseason
Deirdre Mitacek You mean late in postseason games against the Cardinals.
It's not really fair to compare Kershaw in the playoffs because he's always against the cardinals and they are the only team that can hit him
