@AutoLyfe , I also noticed that your oil was not black it was actually good. I guess your engine is in a very good shape and the constant oil changes is actually cleaning/flushing out engine contaminants. Great job. I also flush my honda crv mk4 & S2000 engines with oil.
@@AutoLyfe Thanks for replying, I know there are those out there who say the 0w16 is too thin for proper protection, so your results are super interesting! One tip that I think will save you a lot of grief -- I'd recommend you install a Fumoto valve oil drain plug in your oil pan with as many oil changes as you do. I've been using them on every car I've owned since the mid 1980s and I've never had a single problem or leak from them. They're a perfectly engineered little part, and will save you the bother of dealing with the oil pan drain plug every oil change. Just use the included gasket and torque to spec. Just my 2 cents, thanks for your auto care posts, as it's valuable info to see what works on a car getting such high mileage (also interesting that you are using the orange Fram oil filter sometimes and it does fine). Take care.
I almost hate commenting, but I would drain filter 1st if pan isn't wide enough so u can drain thoroughly. It was still running & not dripping. I admit, I'm anal when it comes to changing my oil. Saying this, u STILL are doing a super job. That oil looked good ( better than most with lesser mileage). I wonder how Amsoil ppl/users feel? 🤔🙄 U PROVE how good/routine oil changes WORK. Isn't that a pain how we cant read our dipsticks? Toyota needs to come up with better dipsticks.✊️👍🖖🇺🇸

Averaging 52mpg is impressive if he does highway driving. Also running approximately 8-10k miles a month is also impressive

I used 0w20 two times when I couldn’t find 0w16. I used Valvoline and mobile 1.
