Prayers teaches us to be grateful to whom created us and gives us Life!
i love your teachings, Rabbi Jacobson, especially, this one is so powerful! !תודה רבה
God doesn’t interrupt you when you’re talking to him. He answers when he wants to. I love that
Baruch HaShem, He also in addition to words, answers us without words but with action
Abraham- second letter B- boker (shaharit)
Yitzhak- second letter tzh- tzharaim (minha)
Yaakov- second letter ain- arev- (arvit)
Of course in Hebrew it's precise like every other thing.
Very inspiring
Here is my unusual question,...am I the only one who has asked for what I wanted only to be showered so much with what I asked for that I eventually learned why it wasn't the right thing to ask for,...so many times - that the only thing your willing to ask for is Hshm's will - afraid to ask for anything else????
Question: Ok, I hear the possibility of turning the Amidah prayer into something close to a Breslov hitbodedut session. However, what if one's legs are strong enough to hold him/her up for the set wording of the Amidah. However, in order to endure the extra added free style discussion he or she must sit, can one do his or her Amidah sitting?
What happened?
Davening is impersonal because youre just repeating other peoples hebrew prayers. PRAYER is personal because its your own thoughts and feelings that you are confessing to God
