Went from a CB125R to an MT07. Crazy upgrade, power is amazing, but having a 125cc for 2 years prior to the MT07 has definitely made it way easier to feel confident on the big bike.
Got Zontes125U.Very good vehicle. 15 HP.Very good fuel consumption. And it has very aggresive look. These bikes are made to ride in every road.I rode 8.5 HP scooter highway, even though I had to ride at 90 km/h. These with 15 HP,will not feel tired at 100 kmh.Not my Zontes.
Really depends on what you plan to do. If you're sticking to the class (CBT/A1), then you can't go wrong with THE bike you want (whatever that may be), but if you're looking to get an A2 or A license, I'd maybe save some money while you're on L-plates and put that into the big bike budget after you pass your test.
@@233kosta to be honest, I could do the direct access course, but I thought maybe having a 125cc could get my riding experience up to better prepare me
@@sobek Oh hell yeah, a 125 is absolutely worth it to start with, what I meant was it doesn't have to be the ultimate 125 while you get the miles in pre-DAS, because in the end you'll either sell or trade in anyway. I had my 125 (CB125F) for a grand total of 4 months. I had considered the 125R (and really wanted one), but in the end I'm content with my original decision. Now I'm on a 650R and the cash I saved from not going 125R (at the time it was something like a £1500 difference) came in handy for that.
@@sobek After about 3000 miles on the 125 (including practicing weird shit like stoppies and hard countersteering, mainly for the fun of it), the mod 1 was a piece of piss. The MT-07 at the riding school took a bit of getting used to, but apart from that it's basically all the same - smooth control inputs = happy bike. And if you're smooth enough you can get away with a LOT. I had that MT-07 scraping pegs on the mod 1 practice sessions (at the test centre), and I was leaving rubber marks at the riding school practicing emergency stops. Not actually locking uo, just getting that front tyre HOT. The mod 2... That's a different story. I still had a few things left to tidy up before my instructor was happy. Still a first time pass, but it took some doing to get up to scratch and I learnt a lot about myself in that time. The best way I found to deal with it was to focus on one mistake per day and sleep on it. As if by magic, it'd be gone the following day. It's really obvious what that mistake is too - it's the one you repeat the most. But yeh, a good night's sleep is very important for that. Given your circumstance, I'd maybe go for the 15bhp and just spend the money. It'd suck to hate your time on two wheels because of some hill. Also see if your riding school offers post-cbt assessment. Spending 90 minutes with an instructor behind you and getting a list of issues to address at the end of that session is a whooooole lot cheaper than an extra day's bike hire plus the cost of the instructor. If you can polish up the mod 2 stuff on the 125 you'll have a much easier time on the big bike.
Brilliant bike, got one myself a month ago, I'm really enjoying it so far. Been looking for a phone holder for a while, do you recommend the one you have in the video?
Yes, the quad lock is ace. Feels super secure at all speeds. No complaints. If you have a flag ship phone they will make a case for your phone. I don't however but you can get a universal version to fit any phone case which worked for me. Thanks for watching
Iv a Zontes zt 125U. Its fantastic no problems at all tho the handle bars are a tad long with the lever guards. Got it for £3k. But with your honda indicators both on do traffic not get confused if your indicating or not?
Did you ever get pulled up for one L plate. I did once. Copper saw me coming along, clocked my reg plate, saw the L plate and followed me. Sometimes the it fell off line works though 😃
The mileage was so low and the bike just looked brand new. If it has higher mileage id look for signs that the bikes been dropped, the sound, the service records. Not loads can go wrong on a 125. If it sounds ok and is relatively low mileage you can't go wrong

Great bike. I really love mine. I'm thinking of a CB500X as my next step too.
I have one now. Awesome bike
Brill bike I've got the 300r, just like the 125 but double the power, light, easy to move but just more power which helps in certain circumstances.
nice color
are you planning on changing to a short license plate holder? if so can you make a tutorial
I've sold the bike for a honda 500x rally raid
nice...been considering getting one on a CBT

I never did lol
I'd like to see the power difference between your cb125 and my 2004 cbr125r.
I'll do a 0-60 mph test for you soon
Nice moped.
is the color custom? never seen this before
No standard colour, I like it in black too. Might be the sun making the colour look different
What things were you on the lookout for specifically with this bike when you were buying it privately? I’m looking to do the same

How much does it cost?
Mine was £3500
