Thank you so much for posting. I have recently come into the church, and although I purchased a hymnal, I don't read music. I've wanted to be able to sing along during church, but needed to learn it. Your video really helps! Much appreciated!
I had moved recently and I’ve been looking everywhere for a video of someone singing Gloria like how my old church does. It brings back good memories, thank you ❤️✝️
I thought the catholic mass was supposed to be the same everywhere you go, so how come I can't find a video of someone singing this the way my church does? It's a different tempo and slightly different melody
@@j1555 to be honenst i prefer the Mass of Creation - Gloria so much more than this. My church started doing this and its just so plain and I feel like there's nothing to it but that's just my reason anyways.
A lot organists do this. Most people can't sing for the life of them. This eliminates 70 year old retired music teacher cantoring or if they have no one else.
My previous parish had a fairly live acoustic, where my substantial baritone voice did not need a microphone, however the more modern church I direct at now requires a microphone, due to carpeting and padded pews. I am not always fortunate to have a cantor and my choir sings one Mass, so though it’s not always ideal, sometimes it’s necessary. I suspect this is the case at many parishes. I’d also like to commend him on both his singing and playing. Many organists cannot do this. One of the most difficult things I have had to do is play and sing either an alto or tenor part.
Favorite Gloria setting. Many love this Gloria it has a majestic feeling about it. You did a fine job playing and singing it.
very good arrangement for ORDINARY TIME liturgy, along with the other acclamations in Alstott's HERITAGE MASS
And played VERY WELL, great job, Matt! :)

All Masses are structured the same, with the same order. However, the melodies of the ordinary differ from parish to parish.
Nice!
❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
What version is this called? What arrangement?
Heritage mass
Why no choir??? Just a single cantor?
I do not say this as an insult- that reverend sounds like Mel Brooks
Why dont you wear a suit or a robe?
What a piece of crap...you play it well though,
What do you mean

It could be way worse though. It could be Dan Schutte or Matt Maher.
@@Mathiasdawe use Dan Schutte in the Philippines same with Bukas Palad

I grieve with you, brother
That having to sing into a microphone and play is so silly and ridiculous. Just play the organ.

He did a great job playing AND singing.
I play the organ and sing for mass too. There’s nobody else to do it. So what do you suggest we do?
What are you gonna do about it. Man probably dosent even play the organ
