Hi Michael. I've also taken to making axe handles during the COVID lockdown. It's quite enjoyable! Here in Texas we have ash, pecan, cedar elm and osage orange. Pecan is probably my favorite.

Good luck with those projects, Greg. These are testing times that we live in. At the moment, I have a 2lb axe-head on my workbench waiting for a new handle.

Thanks Austin. I recently found out that I have relations called Marshall. What country are you in?

Michael, I am in the States, with Grandparents coming from England and Ireland. Marshall and MacCarthy.

Lovely job Michael, and a tricky thing to do well. Heavy old axe, but you seem to have to get through a lot of tough logs there! After many years of using an old 4lb felling axe I've gone all modern now and got a Fiskars X27 - which surprised me by being excellent. Best wishes, Vince
