Nice shave Michael💈💈 I have the original brass Karve razor with A-D safety bar plates and 4" handle, one of my favorite razors. I reach for the C-D plates exclusively, fantastic shaves every time. Today: A&E Khalifa soap, splash and EDP, Razorock GC.84, Personna Med Prep, HeritageCollection C-MOS brush.. Last shave was on the 23rd, even with Viking beard growth, this combo removed the stubble resulting in a BBS+ shave👍 Would like to see you do a four day growth or more😉shave, understandable if not possible account work etc., would be interesting. Great video and review again as always. Enjoy!
I have done some full week shaves, which is not only hard on my skin, but I must endure merciless mocking at work (grin) -- it will happen again, not to worry! Sounds like a great shave, just makes you feel like a million bucks!!
Hi Michael- Great shave and soap review; thank you! Nice-looking lather on the M&Mc soap. The Gillette Rubie blades have not been as nice or as long-lasting for me, as well. It’s disappointing, as my last re-supply was expensive and hard to get. Always so much happier with the Nacet’s! Beautiful brush! Nice shape on the handle. Great addition to your collection. Well, I hope you have a great week ahead and best regards, as always!
Great shave Michael. Yeah I agree with you on the Gillette Rubie blades. They are no where near the level that the old Brazilian made Gillette Platinum Plus blades was before they discontinued which I will be getting off Ebay this coming week. The Gillette Platinum Plus blades were nothing short of phenomenal especially in the Edwin Jagger DE89. Felt like there was no blade in the razor and my beard disappeared rather quickly too.
It is one of the best parts of wetshaving: discovering how many brands of blades there are and then discovering that some of them really are that much better for YOU!
I am glad you like the Karve razors. I agree with all you say about this razor and its various plates. I am not sure though Michael I like this (kind of electric?) red colour to the plate. I suppose I am a real stick in the mud. I like the classic look. I certainly like the red tip Gillette can give to some of its razors, and it is a wholesome red as opposed to "electric". (Probably the colour rendition on my bog-standard mobile phone is spoiling it more than it deserves.) Still no matter the colour, this is a great piece of shaving gear. Thanks for uploading!
Ah, the old classic chromed designs vs the upstart black and red!! I do really like the black and red pairing, but not to worry, I am not turning my back on the classics either.
Nice brush handle. I just wonder if Marques Brownlee is aware of the Karve Shaving aluminum razor, given his preference for the colors. (It might be a great advertising opportunity if Karve sent him one, since alerting him otherwise probably isn't realistic.)
I wonder how that splash compares to the Deltus aftershave. Very nice shave and the Aluminum Karve will most definitely, eventually, be an addition to my collection. Love the brass one and it's amazing how it manages to somehow, tame the blade no matter which plate is in use. The other day I replied to one of your videos, with similar praise, for the Supply 2.0. The Karve, for me, is even better. Not by much, but noticeably smoother for sure.
Yeah, good comparison based on the face feel, and for some the Supply will just feel like a more natural angle. I might go Karve over the Supply, but they are different razors so it's hard to compare them like that. Deltus aftershave, it's on the list...
A really great shave, Michael! Congrats on the new brush! It looks very nice! I've heard really good things about the Zenith boar knots. The handle is beautiful! Cheers! -Rob PS: I've always found my shaving soaps smell much better than they taste!
I have not tried the brass, but I would think it's a matter of weight and heft. The head is the same, so do you want light and black/red or heavy and brass? They both offer great shaves -- which one brings a smile to your face?
Hi Michael. All the products seemed quite good and performed well especially the soap. However I really didn`t care for the lines and the colors of the razor. The colors seemed mismatched and the razor just seemed to plain or something??? But that's just me maybe. Still enjoyed the video though. Have a good week..
how funny, I love the color combo and the simple lines! The best part is that you can get the same great shaves, but go for the stainless steel or the brass and we both walk away happy!!
The one handed face rinse. I thought that technique went out of style ages ago. Fascinating.
I feel it's important to keep our ancient traditions alive in today's throwaway world.
Thank-you for your excellent video as usual.
As always, you are very welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for checking us out Michael! :)
Glad to do so, and I have one more in the queue (duck fat!).
Nice one Michael
Thanks for watching!!
Another great review Michael. Keep them coming.
Still going strong :-)
great shaving Michael,good evening!!
Thanks!

I am embarrassed to say I cannot remember if I have used a Nacet or not, I *think* I have...hm.
Well done Michael! I think this razor is going on my holiday list. Thanks & take care, Zac.
I am a huge fan, just so easy to use and delivers a superior shave -- get TWO!
Congratulations to the brush! Cool design and colours!
I know, I love it, so glad I pulled the trigger on this one.

Wow that's a beautiful brush
I know and it's ALL MINE!!
Love that brush.
Your cat too
Our cats are wonderful :-)
Me too...

Deltus aftershave, it's on the list...
I think I will use a Rubie blade next to remind me how they worked for me. As far as I recall they were okay - pretty standard.
Not as good as I had hoped, but also not bad...
A really great shave, Michael! Congrats on the new brush! It looks very nice! I've heard really good things about the Zenith boar knots. The handle is beautiful!

That knot is really good, and the handle is amazing -- so glad I went for it.
Agreed, all soap tastes terrible.
Thanks for heads up on the sale.
No problem -- what did you end up getting?
Unfortunately, nothing as yet.
Ciao Michael bella sbarbata e bel rasoio artigianali
Stefano, glad you enjoyed that!
I too hope Will @ B&M does bring back aftershave with aloe...
The Kyovu was simply too good, that's the fact, and I don't see how it ever comes back.
What's your personal favourite Karve? In terms of material and also base plate.
Michael - how does the Aluminum compare to the Brass? What's your preference between the two?
I have not tried the brass, but I would think it's a matter of weight and heft. The head is the same, so do you want light and black/red or heavy and brass? They both offer great shaves -- which one brings a smile to your face?
Where can I find this knot from Zenith with the original handle?
www.thegentleshave.com/blogs/news/the-gentle-shave-to-zenith-code-cross-reference
you can see all the knots, and this is the site I ordered from!

Nice lather!💦
That brush and soap made it pretty easy :-)
