+sneeky7 its crazy how expensive it is when u can buy a 10,000$ 335i that will run just as quick and even a little more nimble but the new 340i is much better looking and must be alot more reliable than my n54 engine. Hopefully in the next 5 years this car will be selling for 20k and ill pick one up
I wouldn't bet on it. I just picked up a '13 335i and it was 35k. It was low milage, and loaded, but the fair market value is pretty high for any 335i.

The 335/340 really do power and speed well. Looks like a regular sedan but you will smoke most cars on the road; and will be easy and comfortable all the way till the end.

Crazy to think that 5 years ago the B58 was just coming to market and here we are with it stil in the M340i, Supra and other great cars and easily making over 500 with some basic bolt ons
@121bham I have different opinions about the current bmw 3 generation. Yeah, I agreed that they downgraded their engines, but it's fun to drive and comfortable, but not too much. No regrets so far.

Good review. I bought a new 340i MSport with ZF Auto and Adaptive Suspension in March. I really like the car. It's seriously quick when you want it to be yet in Comfort Mode good for plodding around town. It drives much better than the 330d that I owned 8 years ago.
This is awesome. I am also an Ian with a '13 EBII 335i M-Sport PPK and it's a perfect commuter. 4th BMW including a Euro delivery, and it is easily the best all-arounder. Gonna run it for a few more years and move on to the next one. Looks like the 340i is a really solid upgrade and not just an empty badge change. Great review, really enjoyed it guys. Also dead on agree about the 4 series, the rear end is unforgivable.

oh man this car is amazing... My buddy has the same one except with the added option of m-preforance package II, which made it look even more amazing (front spilter, carbon spoiler, side skirt etc...) anyways this car is so amazing and I would buy this 1000% if I had the money.

One of the reasons I wanna buy these is that sound they make under load with the zf banging thru the gears, they sound better than the f80 M3, also pretty much a performance bargain right now considering what you get out of it with a tune and down pipes, awesome review

I have one that looks the same. RWD, manual, M and track package. Fun daily driver and routinely hits 33 mpg on the highway. Pretty incredible engine.
